The fact that the shock rifle shot through the barrel is a field of view error, not an error with the game. The primary fire shot exactly where his crosshair was, which is past the barrel and to the left. To avoid akward gameplay problems, no matter which hand you set your weapon to be in (right, left, centered) it will ALWAYS hit on the crosshair. Even if there's an object just barely in the way. This also happens in UT2004.

Nice, I love how the laser interacts with teh barrel by shooting right through it.
