Think about it: Scotty's fanbase is bulletproof. Lauren's tears from last week made her fans livid. And Haley's fans became passionate after seeing her get thrown under the bus.

As for James... he had an off week the week before and he followed it up with another weak outing. Wouldn't help him.

Not hating on Scotty, because I never said he was a bad singer. He's just not flexible vocally. Jacob could sing circles around Scotty in the dark. As for Hailey, JLo saved her from being eliminated from that horrible group performance during Hollywood Week. Lauren's not bad at all, but she shouldn't be in the Top 3. She deserves Top 5 though.

American Idol had such GREAT talent this year. And I can say that this year probably had more talent than any other previous season. It's just too bad America came down to probably one of the WORST Top 3 in history. The real Top 5 should've been Lauren Alaina, Pia Toscano, Casey Abrams, Jacob Lusk, and James Durbin. Great song choice--a crowdpleaser, in fact--and all the more with James being a role model for kids overcoming handicaps.
