Is this still being made?? Ive been following this production since 2006!!!! I thought it would be the first Firefly film to come out but looks like Redemption and Bellflower are going to beat them to it.
At all the people criticizing it: If you don't like it, DON'T WATCH IT. They're having fun making something they like, and I gotta give em credit for it ;) Plus, okay, it's amateurish acting. I have seen worse on decent budget B-movies. And in my opinion the fan-made StarTrek episodes are so iffy. I only seen a couple and so far it's been a 50-50 split between okay and horrid.
Pretty good, and I'll be a watcher when the episode's released.

I'd like to see you try. Truth is they are actually doing something and have the means to pay homage to something they love. It doesn't have to be the best story or characters out there. They did what most people who complain about it can't and will never get to do. I'd love to play a part!

I was thinking of something with a similar format- a crew of rogues, vastly different personalities- but if I did that, at least I would make all of them very distinct from the original characters. Like have a captain who instead of being an Independent in the war like, Mal, be actually independent- free of any ties with either side. And son on.

I'm excited for this. A few things:
1) ADR all of the dialogue so it sounds crisp.
2) Mix on some pro reference monitors.
3) You need to work on your lighting. Too many faces in the dark. Environmental lighting is cool, but you always need to "cheat it" for each scene.

ADR is the devil! Without pro equipment/actors, it really only tends to make things worse.
But definately some mixing...evening out the levels and all that.

The ear pieces are props, and are entirely non-functional. Though we pretend they are! LOL. That should give you a clue as to their purpose. ;)
