  • 4:51-5:27 is what it would look like if tyson fought either klit brother

  • Cus was a genius and Myke learn everything from him..................

  • cus was a brilliant tutor and teacher!

  • damnnn!!!......respect for both of you.....the legend...

  • Mike Tyson + Cus = Invincable and unbeatable

  • I realy feel sorry for Mike. Cus was like a father to Mike because his mum died when Mike was like 15 and his dad died when he was like 5. His mum was a prostitute and his dad was a drug adict. Mike Tyson grew up without parents and he had Cus who looked after him but then died when Mike was 19. Now Mike is 45 and he was a soldier going through what he did. Respect to yuo Mike my brother, R.I.P Cus. What Mike did was amaizing. I think if I lost my parents at a young age my life wud have been ovr

  • @TheTabshirEmperor ACTUALLY, TYSONS DAD DIED WHILE HE WAS IN PRISON AND HE REFUSED TO ATTEND IT. CUS D AMATO, THE FIRST TIME HE SAW MIKE SPAR, KNEW AND TOLD HIM HE'D BE THE GREATEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION EVER IF HE KEPT HIS DISCIPLINE AND DID WHAT CUS TOLD HIM.

  • Greatest that ever lived.

  • Now i know why they called him: Iron Mike !

  • 4:12 - WHAT AN UPPER CUT!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • incredible

  • 2:35

  • it was really difficult because i missed him a lot

  • what the name music 2,40 min. thank you

  • @alexboxemadone Reqiuem for a dream

  • 4:13 ohaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa that gotta huuuuurt

  • Cus didn't care about the glory or the money. He wanted Tyson to grow up as a man and have respect for others. Don King is a leech.

  • @aNguyen893 Too bad scumbag Don King didn't croak and Cus D'Amato got to live longer.

  • @aNguyen893 Yor exactly right Cus did it for the love of the sprot and for the love he had for Mike the day Cus died R.I.P ws also the day Mike died he was lost in the darkness alone and angry that his friend and mentor had gone and unfortunatly he got found by the low life reptilian Don King, and he turned mike into a side show,

  • can't people see the difference in how he fights vs Ali's pillow punching ass? Ali was no where near the greatest....Tyson was the true greatest. He got his entire body....hips, legs, and everything into every single one of his punches....he knew how to create devastating power that no boxer in history has been able to mimic

  • @Oreillyisthebest well I wouldn't say "no boxer". I think Jimmy Wilde was a better puncher than mike, (lb for lb of course), but Mike tyson is tied at #2 w/ Stanley Ketchel

  • wait, are you talking about bill oreilly being the best? Lookit, Barack Obama is a fake, he is, in actual fact, a neo-conservative big business loving, war mongering, George W. Bush II... but Bill Oreilly is a hack, he uses personal attacks to try to discredit people. People (sorry I know this is boxing) we have got to get together and realize that the Rep/Dem Lib/Con is a false paradigm, it is a strategy of divide and conquer, its been going on for centuries. wake up. they are the same!!!

  • @Oreillyisthebest, so being a harder puncher automatically means he's a greater boxer than Ali? Yeah, nice logic. If it comes to Tyson's wins over Seldon, Thomas, Biggs etc or Ali's over top 15 all-time Heavyweights such as Frazier, Liston and Foreman, I think I'll take Ali's, thanks. He'd have dominated Tyson, man versus boy. As for Tyson being the 'hardest puncher', get real. He can only dream of hitting as hard as Foreman, Liston, Shavers or Dempsey.

  • @iljn1988

What do you know about logic, nothing! Logic is your comment being nothing more than an opinion! Logic is you will never prove any of what you think as fact. Logic is styles make for fights and Mike Tyson's style was built to play out effectively against Ali's style. My opinion is a fight between the two would have gone either way, it would souly depend on who wants it more and who brings it the best that night. Both great at two completely different styles! Quit being one sided!

  • @iljn1988 Tyson is the freates boxer of all time, amazing defense, effective punching, the head movement. Mike Tyson devasted the world.

  • @adjustdafacts Suuuugar ray robinson? Had almost no weakness (and if he did he ALWAYS worked them out). Was a genius as it was. He could fight both on the inside AND the outside very effectively. His body was almost perfect for his style. I'd say he doesn't have Tysons athletic ability and might have been on the same point when it comes to countering and reflexes. But holy fuck was he the smartest ever with the science of boxing. I can't think of anybody that comes close to the smarts he had.

  • @Oreillyisthebest dude? what are you talking about mike tyson is one of or actually my favourite fighter but he had trouble with big people and thats a fact ali has taken punches from people like george foreman and in a sense would of done the same shit he did to him to tyson mate i love mike but no you are wrong tyson woulda been wared out

  • @Oreillyisthebest Are you a fucking moron? Did you see who Ali fought you dumb cranky hater? He fought Frazier,Foreman,Liston,Jimmy young, ken norton, floyd pattison, cleveland williams, etc. He beat them.. Mike tyson was a very good boxer, but he is not the greatest/great.

  • @7Know7Thy7Enemy7 this sounds important to u

  • @Oreillyisthebest I think Tyson could have been more and I def' think he deserves a really good spot on the all time p4p. If you'd compare him with Ali I think more arguments should be directed to the caliber of Ali's opponents and that he was a clear cut underdog. I'm an amatuer at best when it comes to my knowledge of boxing.

Oh. Also. Don't mention greatest if you're not going to mention Sugar Robinson ;)! Peace

  • @Oreillyisthebest ture as far as fighting goes mike was much more existing and would beat Ali in his prime if he was in prime. Mike had lightweight speed and unimaginable power. comibantion of both is what no boxer ever had. Ali had speed and dance and personality but he was not as half exiting as mike tyson. ali was so popular becouse he was charismatic while mikes whole popularity was created by his boxing style and ability his personality is nothing special.

  • @Oreillyisthebest Sure sure, marciano was the original k.o artist, that guy could bang too, every inch of marciano's body was generated into his punches from the ground up, from a crouch hips, torque timing raw power! ( the US army tested marciano's punch and it was the equivalent to being in a small car crash ) Tyson too has massive respect for marciano as he was not also a tremendous puncher but knew the history of the game and all the past greats, type in tyson talks about -

  • @shotgunshawzy yeah im a big fan of the rock too!

  • @Oreillyisthebest Tyson was awesome, yeah, but don't disrespect Ali off the back of Tyson . Mohammed Ali was also a great boxer and seen by MANY as the greatest . Tyson and Ali were BOTH fantastic . You need to get it straight .

  • @Oreillyisthebest HEY I AGREE MIKE TYSON IN HIS PRIME 84-88, WAS THE BEST IN THE WORLD AND THE MOST DEVASTATNG, RUTHLESS BOXER EVER. BUT ALI HIT HARD TOO AND IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME. WHEN IT COMES TO FOOTWORK AND OVERALL SPEED, THERE'S NO ONE BETTER. AND ALI KNOCKED OUT FOREMAN AND BEAT SHVERS, LISTON AND OTHER BIG POWER PUNCHERS. SO SHUT THE FUCK UP, COS YOU NEVER WON THE HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE 3 TIMES AND VERY FEW SHOWED HEART AND TRUE GUTS LIKE ALI.

  • @Oreillyisthebest but muhammad ali had the true spirit and flow that nobody had, yes mike was outstanding but muhammad had a style that was very hard to figure out, what man can stand against the ropes and take a extreme amount of punches to the head and body by the hardest hitter in boxing and still manage to knock him down, that my friend is true intelligence, always remember intelligence is over powering than power

  • @SQUEEKYFART yeah...true. good point. and as we all know, lack of intelligence is what ultimately, ruined mike's career.

  • @Oreillyisthebest yeh i think if cus D'amato stayed alive til mikes career ended i think mike could of been an even more great champion, his head got lost when his mentor died :(

  • the true king of the overhand right...the uppercut...and left hook

  • A boy comes to me with a spark of interest and it becomes a flame. I feed the flame and it becomes a fire. I feed the fire and it becomes a roaring blaze. Cus D’Amato

  • Cus will be proud but hed have KO'd that idiot Don King himself !

Thanks very much for Posting, Boxing is a sport where opinions often cloud over the facts, everyone has their fav's but to me & many millions of boxing fans, Mike was the greatest boxer (in any weight) the world has ever seen, if Mike had kept a more reclusive life & stayed clear from egoistic people who wanted nothing else than to shaft him, hed have been WC for many more years to come,

Mike Tyson you are a Legend .

    CUS . RIP

  • @Redrum4409

Well said. People act like Tyson was just another hard hitting brawler. During his D'Amato training days his defense was amazing. Nobody would have beat this guy had he had his head on straight.

  • name of song 2:45 pls ?

  • @TripleHHH7771 Requiem for a Dream

  • hÎhi_Ï_fÊËl_sØ_lÒNÊlý_tÒDáy

  • Cus D'Amato is such a character~ he turned tyson into a monster in the ring' cus & tyson are legendary

  • 5:03 , Tyson skimmed the reff in the ribs when he through that hook and you can tell he felt it haha

  • 3:06 , Look at don kings smile, you can tell he is thinking "Im gonna rob this guy for everything hes worked for."

  • What the name music 6;43 ??

  • If Cus was still around, Mike would've been undefeatable. No boxer in history could beat Mike at the age of 20-23 with Cus at his side. No way. Not to mention Kevin Rooney.

That dickhead Don King just told Mike to fire poor old Rooney and Mike was just a kid, so he got brainwashed by that pig bastard. If Rooney was still there Mike wouldn't have ever lost.

  • that clip 4:53, what fight was it?

  • the father tyson never had

  • If Cus had lived longer Tyson would still be champ now.

  • don king is the reason why he never achieved his full potential..

  • The three-foot high CONSTANTINE D'AMATO's headstone reads

    1908-1985

"A boy comes to me with a spark of interest. I feed the spark and it becomes a flame. I feed the flame and it becomes a fire. I feed the fire and it becomes a roaring blaze."

A match made in heaven, I'd add..

  • Cus was a great man.

  • Klitschkos would have Destroyed Tyson in his prime. He coudnt Box Technicly with klitschkos. Eastern European Amateur boxing style is Brutal.

No wonder they all champions now after fall of Communism.

Tyosn was Lucky the Wall didnt fall earlier

  • @szubaark you must be a comedian prime tyson wrecks and stops both klitschkos you must be 12 years old..

  • @szubaark

Tyson 86 - 88 had Klitschkos for simple breakfast. Ask Leonox Lewis about wall. And don't tell me abou cut, because CUT is PART OF BOXING. Even one old man Lewis he couldn't win. The only serious boxer who met in whole career.

  • @szubaark you're joking, RIGHT?

  • @szubaark lol you moron the klitschkos are the lucky 1 its only down to good timing there is no1 any good anymore to fight who have any of them beat where is there legacy klitschos=boring robots.

  • @szubaark lol you moron the klitschkos are the lucky 1 its only down to good timing there is no1 any good anymore to fight who have any of them beat where is there legacy klitschos=boring robots. also they are the reson boxing is dying they cannot carry the sport they r not talented they have brought nothing new to the table. the poor viewers have more chance of being put to sleep faster than there opponents out of pure boredom

  • @szubaark infact he would of ko d both klitscho bro when he was 16

  • @szubaark are you fucking serios? Tyson would fucking Murder the Klit sisters there a fucking JOKE

  • First half of the video is the greatest clip on youtube

  • Interesting Characture... In the clip with Cus showing the combinations to the body the head then the cross is actually what put TB when Tyson won the title. Growing up in england tyson was such a incredible hero to us in our country it was his physicality and aura and phenominal speed and skill. I really admire him for how hard he worked to Achieve what he did. I just couldnt believe a person could be like that. I enjoy to watch his interviews and take on things, he seems honest.

  • seeing this make todays heavyweights match become so lame. Sorry not to discredit current champs.

  • if cus was alive for 5 years longer iron man mike tyson wud hav been G.O.A.T. but it wasnt meant 2 be you know. evry1s got their own opinion

  • @a17nani it wasnt meant to be

    very well said

  • Uppercut at 4:13...Fucking brutal punch

  • CUS KNEW HOW TO GIVE FIGHTERS SPIRIT, WITHOUT GREAT SPIRIT, YOU CAN NEVER BE A GOOD FIGHTER.

  • mike/cus... manny/freddie.... bruce lee/ip man

  • If this guy lived for another 10-15 years. Mike Tyson will be the greatest boxer Ever.

  • @cahk You are right. As Teddy Atlas have said if Cus was still alive for 5 more years Tysons record would be 100 - 0.

  • Tyson didn't have respect for anyother trainer after Rooney

He trained hard when HE felt like it

And we know the rest of the story

  • im not sure i like tyson as a person but anyone who thinks he wouldnt have demolished holyfield, bowe, foreman and lewis in his prime IS WRONG!

  • @hulk90000 You are right. But Tyson would have won for my opinion. Difficult of cource, but he would have won. He had more advantages from all of them inside ring.

  • @hulk90000 And with Kevin Rooney in his corner of cource. The only trainer who known how to train Tyson. Because the other trainer who known Teddy Atlas had fired out form Cus. Only Cus and those two men Known how to train Tyson. Nobody else.

  • shit... he is so fast... lol

  • iron mike would still be the champ if cus were still around

  • mike tyson el mas expectacular de todos los tiempos =)

  • scariest thing in the world .... being in a match against tyson during his prime

  • The relationship Mike Tyson had with Cus was spiritual and very beautiful...it could not have been more perfect. When Cus died, a part of Mike died...

  • @mrs9000 Totally agree

  • The stuff true heroes are made of. He could have made the record. Marciano would be second.

  • Further more Cus and Mike built a bigger legend way more than Ali and Dundee!! I think now boxing fans, analysts and the media finally realize Mike is truly the last great heavy weight champion and in some peoples opinions the greatest heavy weight ever! Mike was truly a warrior black boots black trunks to socks and a towel with a hole cut in it and all business!! "Im the most ruthless and vicious champion there's ever been im Jack Dempsey im Sonny Liston im cut from their cloth"

  • Beautiful video!! Im a boxing fanatic and have all the respect in the world for Ali but he would not have been able to be a 21 year old Mike Tyson I think Mike would have finished him inside of 7 just my opinion!! If somebody repeats the same thing enough they start to believe as do others in Ali's case about being the greatest, Mike on the other hand did all his talkin in the ring and did night in and night out what he set out to do and that is destroy his oppenents not just win but destroy!!

  • @qburo, you talk as if Ali conned people in to believing he was great and did nothing to back it up in the ring. Christ Almighty, he beat Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier, Earnie Shavers, Ernie Terrell, Jerry Quarry, Ken Norton, Floyd Patterson and George Foreman when they were in their primes. Who did Tyson beat? The old ghost of Holmes and the likes of Berbick, Seldon, Biggs, Bruno and Williams. He couldn't knock out Green, Tillis, Smith or Tucker, but according to you, knocks out Ali in 7? Dear me.

  • le meilleur boxeur de tout les temp et de tres loin 20 ans apres on a toujour pas fait mieu .

  • Physically yes,but mentally he's not at all fit.Tyson is an emotional wreck..

  • Nigga got it all, except for one thang.SELF CONTROL.An undiscipline warrior is nothing more then a complete brute.A fucking animal without conscience, how great a fighter would he be,have he had the fights and the control and discipline. The bravery and the moral conscience.

  • He got the fights, but no self composures.

  • Mike Tyson is such an underrated person

  • Ali also believed he wad unbeatable in his prime just look how he talked to people

  • Cus told him and that he was unstoppable

As long as he had the right training and Tyson believed it when he was young and cus was still alive

  • True he was around the wrong people.

The ladies Don King ect. Hes was better with Cus and Rooney.

But He has no one to blame but himself. He was a grown man.

Now what he has to do is give back to the kids if his mind is right.

You cant be great if eveybody keep tell you that. If you belive them you was lose.

  • True he was around the wrong people.

  • holyfield never would have beat a prime tyson i think we can all agree on that.

  • there should be a movie made on Cus! what a legend.

  • prime tyson beats anyone haters can kiss my left but cheek

  • wish i have crossed your path cus. one of a kind. love and respect for you and tyson, best duo in history. brothers.

  • Ali was a better boxer over his career for sure.... but in Tysons PRime before his life went to hell.... Theres not a BOXER of any weight,, past present or future who stands a CHANCE in the ring with this monster,,, not even close... i would bet my life on tyson beating ALI when they were both prime.....

  • Mike was never the same after Cus passed. All the snakes got a hold of Mike and ruined him. Mike was one of the best boxers to ever step in the ring!!

  • After watching this, i feel like i want to cry, i feel the connection between student and teacher, i feel like i want to rip impossible objects apart, i suddenly become motivated, i feel like i have a purpose, i feel hungry, i feel the need to work that extra second harder then everybody else, i feel like a guided missle, i feel inhuman, i feel like the right hand of Mike Tyson in his prime...you all should feel this

  • donkin finished tyson´s career.

the best boxer ever been during a short period of time.

  • Excellent youtube video, which proves Tyson to be one of the strongest killer ever.

  • TYSON >>> ALL

FUCK ALI, FUCK MARCIANO, FUCK OTHERS

  • Tyson rules the boxe, but not only that, in the streets every thugs were mentionning his name.

    Which means 1vs10 he wins.

  • Look at My Video of Mike Tyson, also Good Video :)

  • Respect forever!

  • i hope that ill meet him one day!

  • a lion and his trainer! R.I.P cus D'amato!

  • the speed at 0.18 to 0.23 i cant believe it...... unbeliveable

  • @dan832

Yeah me too, i am like 3 times slower than him ... and i do 178cm or 5'10 like Mike Tyson.

  • putting the T2 theme music together with this video. Your da man.

    emotional stuff right here

    EPIC

  • man Cus and Rooney made Tyson into a fuckin machine... wow, I mean... It's not even fair to call Tyson a 'boxer' or a 'fighter' because to call him that would mean the other guy had a chance...

if it wasn't for don king and that cunt robin givens, Tyson could've very well ended up retiring undefeated or at least won the title again... I think he lost the love for the sport long before he hung up the gloves, but only because he's been fucked over so many times.

  • @Redrum4409 Thank you for your comment. You can say that Mike truly was on a personal mission during his debut professional boxing days, up until he held all three major belts and successfully defended them all just to add the final topping to the already aware attributes of the last great heavyweight to lace em up. From the time it took him to gather those belts with the glorious WBC as the prize winner, no one in the history of boxing (arguably) would have stood a chance in stopping him!

  • @GOATIRONMIKETYSON , Had Tyson fought in the 60's or 70's he may not have done as well as he did in the 80's , because he had alot of Tomato Can oppisition.Larry Holmes was an old man. And when Tyson faced adversity , he got his ass kicked by Douglus, Holyfield twice and Lennox Lewis. Trainers are there to teach a pro how to beat styles. Alexis Arguello for example had Eddie Futch in his corner when he fought Aaron Pryor. Eddie Futch handled 20 world champions

  • we know this why are you saying it like ppl here wouldn't know. This video is about Tyson and Cus and how Cus made Tyson into the youngest heavyweight champion of all time. Tyson didn't have Cus when he fought Douglas, Hollyfield or Lewis he just had vultures that used him for money and didn't care about him.

  • @springbox1982 Tyson biggest mistake is that he fired out Rooney. Only him knew how to train him. Tyson has used the "Peek a Boo" style since he was 13 years old. Any other coch brought in to train Tyson tried to change his style, because they didn't know the 'Peek a boo" style. As Emanuel STEWARD said if a fighter was successful with style, combat did not seem to cahnge it, but seek to improve the skills of fighter and minimize weaknesses. And as K. Rooney said if he had remained with him

  • @springbox1982 continue he would have beaten Lewis and Holyfield easily

  • unfortunatly we will never no and can only speculate, that's unfortunatly why Tyson is not in not in the top 10 boxers of all time

  • also not sure he would everhave beaten Hollyfield easily even in his prime

  • @springbox1982 Bro i wrote what exactly Kevin Roony have said. One man who Known Tyson when he was 13 y.o. Nothing else.

  • @springbox1982 with Cus and his protege Rooney Tyson was UNTOUCHABLE.

  • @GOATIRONMIKETYSON man what the fuck where the hel did you find these rare cus and mike talking videos in the beggining?????? i see them for the first time in my life...really..can i have a link in a message or somethng when you can?? please i really need to hear cus talking...

  • @Redrum4409 that's exactly my belief, that cunt took away all the momentum he had, add the loss o Cus plus him hooking up with Don King that's why he fucked up. Had he not gonne to jail and Cus and Rooney were still there to guide him.. Tyson would be beast with focus, not just a beast and in my opinion the greatest boxer ever.

  • @Redrum4409

one of the best comments i have seen on youtube or any sports blog, nice work mate.

  • @Redrum4409 u r 100% correct!!! to me, its a very sad story. he was a great kid that needed guidance. when cus died that scumbag don king ruined him. he could have been the greatest ever. its very tragic.

  • @Redrum4409 Agree. That is one of the main points of movie TYSON (documentary)

  • Damn best video of the greatest champ of all time i've seen on youtube so far, congrats !

  • If Cus was still alive, Tyson would still be undefeated... period!

  • very good

  • teddy atlas the TRUE trainer of mike tyson tells a different story!

  • both owns i gona be like tyson 1 day i am only 13 training so hard i ko alredy in 1 round

  • the greatest trainer and fighter if you put them together you are making beasts

  • tyson my favourite boxer of all time, cus amazing =] they just both clicked! deadly combination amazing love it!

  • if mike had of bein as strong mentally as physically he,d wud never hav lost, bastards like don king fucked him up

  • The GREATEST fighter to walk the planet = IRON MIKE TYSON!!!!!!

  • Muhammid Ali is the better boxer, but Tyson would KO his ass within 6 rounds GUARANTEED!!!!

  • if Tyson were to be put in the 70s, he would sure as hell would be dominant, but probably not as dominant. it's just he didn't have a lot of competetion in the late 80s.

hed have to deal with Joe frazier, Ali, foreman, bugner, shavers, norton, ron Lyle, and a bunch of other tough contenders that could beat him.

  • @TommyGun7111

He would have lost more matches, i agree with you.

BUT he would have been better than all of them for sure.

Hell, have a look at tyson on his prime (3-4 years of boxing). He was absolutely the best ever, and still is (new boxers suck by the way).

  • @Xecutionner2K

I don't think he would have been better then Joe frazier, muhammad ali, or George Foreman.

    Just my opinion.

yeah, in his prime, he was the best of that period of time. however, he couldn't sustain and and started slipping.

something else I noticed is that tyson never had to fight a war in his prime... he finally got tested by douglas OUT OF HIS PRIME.. had he fought holyfield in the late 80s or early 90s i wouldve liked to see him get tested.

  • @TommyGun7111

The prob with Tyson is, he cannot win against high stamina boxer, cuz he forfeits.

I mean he really doesn't like long matches and surrender in his aggressiveness if he is bored (true fact).

Also, even in his prime his mental was sometime uncontrolable.

But to be honest, many thinks that the strongest version of Tyson (during his fight against Spinks) he couldn't have lost to any boxers ever.

Tyson could have been the best ever if Cus lived 5 more years, i am sure

  • @Xecutionner2K

Well, it's not really his lack of stamina. It just looks like he wants to spark out his opponent fast. He doesn't like it when the opponent takes the fight to him, like Evander Holyfield did. Guys like Ali, and These guys would impose their will on Tyson and bring him into deep water. Once he realizes, shit, I can't knock these guys out, he's going to have trouble. And Once again, we don't know that, because of the opposition he was fighting. He was never tested in his prime.

  • @TommyGun7111 Good point. But I disagree.

you cant continue to be great when everybody around you keep saying your unbeatable. When that happens your done. jail didnt help

  • It was only after he got rid of the old team Tyson formed by Cus that the career troubles happened, so any mismanagement was nothing to do with Cus or Cayton. Rather the Don King Circus Team Tyson.

  • @ramrod: Nonsense. Jacobs and Cayton managed Tyson to perfection. Most people complained they didn't put Tyson in to get the title earlier. If Mike had not married Givens, and stayed with Cayton, Rooney and Lott, then there would have been no defeats and no prison. Tyson mismanaged himself when he chose to believe golddiggers Givens & her mother Ruth Roper that Cayton was 'stealing' from him and so he got rid of him, & then Rooney becuase of public comments he made about the marriage to Givens.

  • @IntergalaticRape Tyson was a young kid in love. Rooney should have keep his mouth shut about Tyson's personal life. And did what he was being payed to do. However, Tyson made a huge mistake in firing him. That was a coward move. Tyson should have just told him man to man to knock it off.

  • Mike Tyson's real life is like a hollywood epic but the things is its real with real ppl....The most misunderstood person is Mike Tyson

  • Damn right, imagine Tyson with a record of 50-0, with wins over Ali, Frazier, Foreman, he would have been the GOAT.

However if he had just never got with Givens, and thus stayed with the old Team Tyson of Cayton, Rooney, Lott (after Jacobs death), then he could have also been the GOAT with 50-0 and victories over Holyfield, Lewis and Bowe.

Tyson was never the same without the D'Amato style that Rooney & Lott had him doing: Go to website

    miketysonboxingmemorabilia -> Scrapbook -> 1991.

  • Mike Tyson was champion too soon! At 20 years old that was too young. He should have fought for the title when he turned 22. However D'amato wanted the youngest Heavyweight champion! Tyson was mismanaged!

  • Comment removed

  • good comment hulk

  • this is the real terminator.

  • Mike Tyson was a beast with cus... An animal trained to perfection.. If Cus was still alive Tyson would still be undefeated...

  • If Mike and Cus were together forever as one then Tyson wouldn't have left Rooney. Cus had everything in place for him and Tyson messed it up.

  • As wise as Cus D'amato was, in his transfering of THE knowledge to Mike Tyson, he wolud not have been able to connect with Ali, for numerous resons. Ali and Angelo were a perfect match, as you can still hear the softer side in Angelo voice when doing informal interviews.

I've justed watched a video on YT of a 'conversation' between Ali & Cus.

  • You are correct. Dundee's strength was knowing the limits of his boxing knowledge and keeping quit and staying out of Ali's way. Also being a cheerleader when he needed to be. So Dundee was great in that sense.

D'mato on the other hand has forgotten more boxing knowledge that Dundee will ever know, but might not of had the patience during Ali's religious conversion and he probably would of considered it a character weakness.

  • after the hook @ 4:58 Mike is like a 'shark' finishing his prey!

The opponent must have done something to annoy him!

  • Mike's mental would have been alot better with Cus around.

  • Good teacher. Good student. Much respect.

  • it's sad, Cus D'amato never seen Mike win the HW belt man, sucks man boxing is a sport who's greatest NEVER have a happy ending.

  • 2:21!!! he saw it comin.. he dodged...and just throw his left rigth into that other guys cover..

and send him to the ground

  • when D'amato passed away Tyson changed because he was thrown to the lions, boxing is so corrupt, and it really is a shame because Tyson is a tragic figure- not to mention that the media are all scum

  • anyone could tell that to tyson Damato was more than a trainer, he was like a father to tyson and tyson loved him very much.... Damato will never be forgotten in the boxing world after all it takes a legend to make a legend.. RIP Damato :(:::
