things might be different for you but when i went through boot camp, swim qualification required minimal skill. i knew at least three people from my platoon alone who couldn't swim, and guess what -- they all made it. just work on it before you head to boot and you'll be good to go

I did overcome my fears, though. I found the courage to make it through.

I won't lie and say I miss the Marines...I do.

However -buts are for sitting - I chose to leave This Man's Corps to further education. I will plan to return to school for a goal that sounds ill-equipped: a Bachelors Degree. (I have an Associates from Technical College in 2000.)

@archiaskcommando Your kidding,Right? Is that before or after they need to be rescued by the Army, Navy or Airforce? Read the history. They have needed rescue throughout their history. Umm al Qasr, Nasiriya and Najaf! The Army came to their rescue with not so much as a thank you. You need to read more and educate yourself. Smallest force next to the Coast guard. AIRBORNE!
