  • The only problem I see is they are eating it with two fucking sticks. All the technology in Japan and they still haven't gotten past that one...

  • A happy cow is a tasty cow, now if only the people of the US can realize this cuz obviously, our cows are miserable, it taste plain unless it's seasoned. It'll be a sad day if Japan ever loses this species of cow.

  • Judging by the guy on the right and his facial expression after the taste I would say he is disappointed he just spent about $100 for his meal.

  • feel like killing myself....... like I have missed somethin big.

  • kobe or matsuzaka beef are way overrated. It's just fat. That's all it is.

  • I've had American Waygu and Japanese...Japanese is much much better so it is more than just the cow. One thing I do love though is Nebraska Dry Aged beef. I prefer it over Kobe.

  • @dadoody They are not the same cow - American Waygu is crossbred with angus...There is of course much more to it than the animal that the rancher starts with.

  • @ukiop999 Ah, that might explain it. The true Japanese Kobe was very well marbled. It was like butter. More than 5oz was already too much. Too rich. American Kobe is not like the Japanese at all. Drier and not as marbled. Flavor isn't worth the price.

  • @dadoody Glad to hear the real stuff was wonderful! I've only had the American stuff and tho I did like it quite a bit, I can imagine something like what you describe being even better. Someday I will snag a taste.

  • @ukiop999 When there's a reason to eat fancy, try "Cut" by Wolffgang Puck. There's one in Beverly Hills and one in Vegas. They have a meat sampler of American Kobe, Japanese Waygu, and midwest dry aged. Awesome value.

  • @dadoody Thanks for the tip.

  • DAT TENDERNESS

  • o my god i miss japan sooo much

  • poor animals

  • I love my radioactive kobe beef!

  • Kobe Bryant was named after Kobe beef

  • it is tender, due to an incredible percentage of fat..check out that marbling. This is not for everyone, not up to everyone's taste.

  • Can you believe this beef melts in our mouth :D

    It was unbilievable

  • WAGYU IS BETTER.

  • @Kentheinfinite kobe beef is wagyu. Wagyu is the breed of cattle. 0:23 in the video says what i just wrote

  • @Konryu12 I DUNNO MAN!

  • So it's just really fat beef...

  • @TheHaloChief117 Supposedly more tender too because the cows are forced to be lazy and are massaged to increase blood flow.

  • why is that guy next to u wearing a dress ?

  • Is Kobe Beef Cows eating grain from a Nucular Fallout Area? Is Kobe Beef radioactive? Is Japan still exporting their beef to USA? Is their beef safe to eat?

  • @johnnybagofdonets I dont believe it would be imported if it were.

  • @johnnybagofdonets Cattle farmers in radioactive area had been already banned. Kobe cows live in west Japan far from Fukushima and eat safe grain(which is imported from America etc). Besides, U.S & Japanese government inspect all of imports for radiation level.

  • thumbs up for Kobe Bryant!

  • thats seems kinda messed up that they are cared for and treated so well, just so they can be killed and eaten...not that i'm saying we shouldn't do that for all the animals we eat...but something about that makes me wanna cry...maybe its the whole," Don't eat your pets" thing...idk

  • @FiestyCat86 yeah i think that we need to worry about how an animal lived just as much as how it died i mean veal? thats fucked up

  • @Camohat100 I agree with you...this is a much better method...its just think it would be hard to care for an animal like that while knowing that its going to slaughter...but then again, my granddad raised cattle for beef and he had a bull that was just the sweetest thing, big red boy, with curls, and I loved him, but i took even better care of him knowing that he was doomed for the slaughter house, so it makes sense in a messed up kinda way.

  • @FiestyCat86 Kind of like the native Americans worshiping the buffalo that they slaughtered and ate. No, I think this kind of stewardship is very laudable and something we've sadly lost with industrialization of farms. Attachment and respect to the animals teaches us to value their ultimate sacrifice they make for us and to treat the animals with the dignity that you mentioned above.

  • @unholyimage thank you for joining in. You made a wonderful point in bringing up the Native Americans. I am white, and sadly it shames me that my race was responsible for bring down such a wonderful people. They were happy to live with the land, being stewards of it and treating it with a respect that was unheard of in white culture. They grew food, but only what they needed, and they hunted but made a point to make the sacrifice worth it by not wasting. I wish we could go back to that.

  • If only Americans can do that for their cows. That looks so GOOD!!

  • damn hungry :(

  • could you imagine if you burned this? O.o

  • i had a burger o this. melted in my mouth

  • 100 per pound that means it would cost almost 1000 to feed a family of 6

  • @gorrilatape Then don't feed it to a family of 6..

  • kobe = HYPE

  • i hope when the apocalypse happens, there still will be a wagyu cow left, a male and a female, so we can breed and eat them

  • give me a fork god dam it

  • 神戸牛

    kobe beef

    but, announce "kouve"

  • it would suck if you dropped your piece of beef onto the floor cuz you cant use chopsticks lol

  • Unless you can afford it, don't eat it or you'll get hooked. I had 11 slices for $100 on my birthday and ever since then, I'm always craving some.

  • I went to Japan and I have to say, their milk and beef is quite delicious.

  • Is this 500 dollars a pound. This is what obama ate.

  • i had a kobe beaf hot dog once. no kidding. on a pretzel bun. $20 of pure awesomness

  • I had some Kobe beef and it's the best.

  • i would like to be a wagyu cow

  • what's wrong with this picture? i am a real steak eater, and this is so wrong, you DO NOT cut the worlds most expensive beef while it's being cooked, you're bleeding all the moisture out and cutting off all the fat, the fat which renders adds a huge level of complexity in beef flavor, especialy in kobe beef where the fat is half the reason why its so expensive, when i eat kobe atleast 2'' thick and flash fried for 3 minutes on both sides, 3 minutes at 500 in the oven then a 5 minute rest, nowEAT

  • @jaroncyr consider that different cultures prefer things differently. For example, a delicious cheesesteak is too gross and simply too much in many other cultures.

  • @jaroncyr dude, i think they know what their doing

  • YEAH, LETS KILL ANIMALS AND EAT THEM...

    Dickheads!

  • @JCHandJobLover okay

  • @JCHandJobLover ok lets slaughter thousands of defenceless cabbage instead. fagface.

  • @JCHandJobLover Humans are MEANT to kill animals and eat them, hence the term OMNIVORE. Humans are MEAT EATERS aswell as veggie eaters, we possess canine teeth aswell as molars.

  • @Chell1246 its probably just some fagget who isn't satisfied by his boyfriends meat.

  • @JCHandJobLover hey I'm part of PETA! People eating tasty animals!!!!!!

  • @JCHandJobLover Stfu you animal activist or vegetarian or whatever the fuck you are. Life cycle, Deal with it you close minded Dickface.

  • @JCHandJobLover damn right.. get me a steak!!!!

  • @JCHandJobLover

You're right, people will stop eating animals when the population of twats like you is big enough to feed the world.

P.S. I'm a vegetarian, I just thought it was important to tell you to stfu.

  • que hermoso

  • if kobe is this good, i can only wonder how james tastes

  • @rawimpact i imagine not as good, but different people have different tastes..

  • Kobe lobsters are lobsters fed with kobe beef :D

  • Now that's REAL beef. Good cared animals, that's how it has to be.

  • Imagine if your boss was watching you and you dropped a piece on the floor....

  • how lucky would it be to be a waggyu

  • @MrSweetchoc except for the fact you get killled once you become an adult

  • Kobe Beef = Steak

The meat which you eat = flip-flops

  • american should use japanese black cow in their farm.then we can eat more cheap beef.

  • Matsusaka beef (松阪牛, Matsusaka gyū, also "Matsuzaka beef") is wagyū (Japanese beef) originating in the Matsusaka region of Mie, Japan. It is one of the most famous kinds of beef within Japan and internationally, containing a high fat-to-meat ratio. Within Japan, Matsusaka is considered one of the generally recognized three most famous beef brands in Japan, along with Kobe beef and Yonezawa beef.

  • you make me....HUNGRY!

  • KOBE BRYANT!

  • I don't think he would taste very well lol

  • @hermom2 I'm sure you know Kobe Bryants father favorite steak is Kobe. He liked it so much that he name his son Kobe. Thats how Kobe Bryant got his name.

  • @prt61370 oh is that also chuck norisses father liked chuck steak ?good job he didnt like eating testicles [ ballock norris doesnt roll off the tongue so well in the movies i guess ].

  • @hermom2 nothing to do with kobe bryant if you like him you shoudn’t write it

  • @yomanmeme lmao whatever man?

  • @yomanmeme Kobe Bryant was named after Kobe beef. serious

  • Lol why don't they just breed more of those cows? seriously why take all the good things for them selves so they can make shit load of money for it...

  • i know right!!!!

  • Erm, grains in Japan is expensive, the land is expensive. There are 'Kobe Style' beef, kind of similiar but different, at around $20 per poiund.

  • Usually the lifespan of a meat cow is anything from a few months to about a lil over a year maybe

I'm pretty sure these cows take longer to grow when they're not fed so intensively. Besides, they must require a lot more man power to handle than automated plants in the us/europe

So that's my guess why there aren't a whole lot of them. It's not just the type of cow that makes this a good product, it's the care they receive

  • plus the age... a milk cow usually hits 5 or 6 if he's " lucky" he reaches 8 years. This beast will be groomed and fed with decent wheat/vegetation (not the nasty corn crab) for up to 8 years, with beer during the summer to keep it eating and massages to spread the fat. A milk or american beef cow will trade anytime.

  • I found out later that there are a lot of Wagyu cattle, that aren't Kobe.

Kobe is a name to represent the treatment of the cows. Every Kobe cow is a wagyu, not every wagyu is kobe.

But the care for a Kobe cow still takes a minimum of 3 years

  • god i bet it tastes good

  • lol any hindu here

  • no way i would pay this much for a steak. i eat a lot and i cant eat those small portions of food no matter how good

  • Some people believe in quality over quantity. You're obviously cheap, therefore these cuts were not meant for consumers such as yourself. Kobe beef is as good and organic as far as beef goes. There's nothing better.

  • I'd eat it once just to try it

  • omg I thought a grilled ribeye was the tops! a massaged beef cow! It sure slices easily enough.. oh yummy yummy- No A-1 sauce on that steak!

  • well, i still love my grass fed cattle here in rockhampton QLD australia, one of the best in the world!!!

  • Yummy yum yum yum.

  • its like the story of the Ginger bread Man.

  • Hey, at least their bodies don't go to waste...unlike humans...

  • @ HLGToys LOL You're funny :3

  • have to eat it... ;)

  • lol....it's about another comment I made on kobe beef....some people have no imagination so I had to spell it out for them

  • is it even worth paying 100 dollars?

  • you bet your ass it worth the 100 dollars, it fuckin good if you ever have the chance to taste it.... better then your normal steak here in the us....

  • it all depends on how many hundreds of dollars you have I guess......personally I'd rather eat a 12 dollar steak and drink 88 dollars worth of cocktails....maybe that's just me though

  • RARE!! its a new breed!! and you're EATING IT?!

  • lol ...... : /

  • man i ate kobe steak before and it is delicious. it is the best kind of steak ever! its THE BEST!!!!! it is worth the $100

  • "their meat"?

  • 知られる牛肉の素牛は、 なんと但馬牛です。大自然が育んだ但馬牛は、和牛ブランド最

  • Because this is the internet my friend, people feel comfortable revealing anything as long as they stay anonymous.

  • 神戸牛、松坂牛、近江牛など最高牛として知られる牛肉の素牛は、 なんと但馬牛です。大自然が育んだ但馬牛は、和牛ブランド最高級 として全国の人々にその名を轟かせています。

  • Quality has a price, and for every product there is market. In fact, Kobe demand such prices beacuse demand exceeds supply. It's like buying Chateau Latour and other top growth wines.

  • I had kobe beef in a restaurant in Kyoto 24 years ago. I have to say that it is the best steak I have ever tasted. I felt it was well worth the $100.00 I paid back then.

  • I heard the kobe beef is so tender,it can be cut with a butter knife.

I bet it tastes soooooooo delicious...

  • i've tried this, it's good, sure as hell not worth it though

  • When I was stationed in Japan, a few buddies and I went do Kobe to try this.

It was 4 of us. We all had to pitch in to cover it. Quite expensive, but worth it.

DAMNIT! I miss Japan. Best country ever. Outside of America, that is. And I do miss Misawa.

  • i went to Hokkaido to taste their Kobe beef (2nd highest grade) which cost at 40,000 yen per kg.

Taste wise, impressive. such tenderness that can melt inside one's mouth is just something you should give it a try even though the price is extremely high.

It is said that the highest grade of Kobe beef are very rare and cost about 75,000 yen per kg. that's US$820/kg

  • Kobe is pronounced ko-bay not ko-bee

  • I hungie

  • isnt it like $60 US per ounce?

  • 500 US dollars a pound!

  • really it beter be good

  • omg im jealous!! how much did u end up paying???

  • i have eaten this and it is amazing if u get the chance to try it. try it trust me its worth it

  • mmmmmmm yummy

  • Have Some at the Great American Land and Cattle Co. Restaurant in El Paso, TX!! TEXAS Knows BEEF!!

  • ermm thats probably fake, theres alot of wannabe, and imitation kobe beef where they "take care" of there cows.. but kobe beef is only found in japan unless its expensively exported

  • Actually that isn't true. The Wagyu cattle are what produce Kobe beef and many are raised here in the U.S. (and other parts of the world) and imported back to Japan. The marbling doesn't come from the "massage", the marbling is genetic. The massage is replace exercise since there is limited pasture areas in Japan. Here in the States the cattle can get their exercise on an open pasture.

I guess you could say you can only get Kobe beef in Kobe, but that is splitting hairs.

  • it was on the newspaers when the the cattle was imported over here. but yeah its true we got kobe beef =] maybe not highest grade but we got some.

  • I use to have this when I could aford it. Your right the portion is small. Had to sittings back to back and had to wash dishes for a week. It was worth it!!

  • I ate some of this, best burger I EVER had

  • i heard its hella good but when i look at it raw it looks like a lung lol, but i still wanna try it

  • You gotta have a whole pot of rice with Kobe beef, otherwise you won't be full.

  • Such high-level beef is rarely eaten even by the Japanese.

  • ooo my god..!! this my one of my god,s Nandee..ummmph....

  • you know what nandee means right?

  • looks delicious

  • the real Kobe beef will be if the Lakers lose this series...WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • as reese said : "it should be eating us"

  • pendi lan fudidya maye tuna madua

  • Looks tasty!

  • What not to say to someone buying you dinner there after eating the Kobe beef: "That was nice. Where's the main course."

  • One word: SAVOR!
