  • @vonkaunaz : It's been a very eventful 2 years :) A lot has changed.

  • at last part which march playing? can some one tell me the name please?

  • @sonsuz51 It's called "Proshaniye slavyanki' which means the farewell of a slavic women. This is a standard march for parades and was almost always used at any military or civil departures where the orchestra was present.

  • @bumselecta thanks for information brother

  • was this meant to be in 3d or something?

    whats with tall the ghosting...

  • is only a DREAM.............

  • I agree that Buran was going to be a pretty good ship, but you guys cant talk bad about NASA, I mean over 100 succesfull flights in the shuttle cant be bad. I do agree that all space agencies should team up, and Im sure the result would be something good.

  • nobody talks bad about NASA, im agree, and im more than sure that russian still sends its burans like nasa does, just secretly... its unpredictable russia...

  • All 5 buran's are accounted for, destroyed or non flying. There is no russian space shuttle program. Soyuz is their concern and everything they send up. They do it very well, and leave the bigger things to the other more economically viable countries now, which is a good idea.

Shame to see the Buran's end so fast though.

Glad to hear #5 is on it's way to the Museum Technik in Germany. Can't wait to go see it.

  • well alright, maybe you are right, but still russians have their spy satellites etc.

  • @rhanthony : Well, you typed that 2 years ago, and not precisely an accurate assessment, but anyway...2 years after your comment, can you tell from where are all launches being performed today?

I´ll give you a clue: not from U.S. NASA launch pads.

  • grate

  • The Buran had little in common with the Shuttle other than the basic delta-wing-glued-onto-a-cargo-can shape. The Buran didn't even have big engines like the Shuttle, only RCS and orbital maneuvering engines. The Energia booster did all of the heavy lifting, and boy could it do heavy lifting. There has not been anything like the Energia before or since.

  • i totally agree with pacific707 . i too wish the russians would have followed through with their STS program, as NASA and RFSA could have learned tonnes from each other, especially if they had co-operated rather try and beat each other, like americans try to do with everything, creating countless problems in the aftermath.

  • Ahhhh sad so very sad the lack of understanding

The Russians have always worked with us... the Race was a scam to milk money out of the sheeple on both sides. Read "Two Sides of the Moon" by a Russian and American Astronaut.. Look at Energia the company that made Buran see what they are up to today Did you know that in Aug when Endeavor was at the ISS so was Progress 61 a robot cargo ship?

  • Look at Sea Launch a joint Boeing/Energia mobile launch platform with countdown in both Russian and English at the same time. That ask yourself "what did they do with the 1/2 ton of fruits and vegetables Progress 60 delivered in May 2007? Thelivingmoon dot com Welcome to our world

  • russia can no longer afford? their GDP is constantly on the rise. infact im pretty sure they have the highest GDP growth on earth right now

  • GRAN APARATO, OJALA VUELVA A VOLAR

  • There's no doubt- The RUSSIANS are the smartest, the most powerful nation on the Earth

  • With a GDP slightly less than Mexico's, Russia can no longer afford a space program.

  • ...

  • Great video. Its funny that the Soviets copied so many of our ideas... I think we would have acomplished far more working together than apart. Maybe some day though

  • It's really too bad the Russian's didn't follow thru with their own STS system. Russian rockets are far more interesting than American rockets. Baikonur footage is awesome!

  • a mix of everything... even NASA stuff... not true to the title but what ever I guess

  • nice

  • Great. Nice footage on Russian space program. Love to watch this than NASA.
