Ace Combat 5: Pitomnik Scene

You never hear about what happens on the ships did all the crews on the ships feel the same way as their commanders or was there fighting on the ships as well?

I'm not one to get emotional over just anything, but this scene just puts a lump in your throat and makes your chest swell with pride for those guys. Mix this with The Journey Home playing over the radio during the sea battle...like AnonlonCannon said, Manly Tears.

Ace Combat 5 is truly a great game because it tells a wonderfully human story in such a powerful way. Along with AC4, its one of those games that shaped me as a kid.

this was a very touching scene for me. it was amazing, it felt as if i was there, as if it was the real world. i felt so proud and so happy when those Yuke ships desert and joined our side...

but, for me...the saddest part of the game was when Chopper dies...i cried even MORE than this scene :(

@YTLyricsMaker Chopper's death was so amazingly executed into the game, it came so surprisingly and was very difficult not to cry to. I also fell victim to emotion in that scene. I still remember the line, "My instrument panel looks like a rose garden." while you hear his aircraft beeping at him over the radio from all the damage. Just amazing...

@KalteLanze totally agreed. i wasnt expecting him to die at all.....i was so surprised, i couldnt help crying. even though i knew he would prob die, i kept on thinking to myself "cmon chopper...bail out! BAIL OUT!!!"...

when he crashed...i was so devastated. i killed all those bastards as it actually got me mad as hell.

even now...even now that i play and play again...i still think Chopper will bail out...i always have this hope...that he wont die...but it always ends the same..... :'[

I think Ace Combat 5 is tied with the Japanese version of Ace Combat 3 as the best Ace Combat game ever. The story line is just... awesome. I can't really describe it.

This game deserves to become a great movie- just have the original makes fill in the cutscenes themselves so hollywood doesn't fuck it up and then just send the movie worldwide. Because the entire time I played this game- I felt like I was watching a movie. And I only wish I could have everyone else see this game for how great it was for the storyline.

This was one of the best cut scenes in the game. It would be so awesome if this was re-made with AC6 physics, graphics, and the missiles and bullets flying everywhere.

Yea when I saw that when I first played the game I scrambled everybody in the F-14's and went as fast as I could into battle to save them haha, flew in low and fast took out 2 ships with one pass haha

I almost cried when they ordered me to sunk the Osean Fleet ;-( Such a beautiful Nimitz class carrier, the OFS Barbet. And I had to sink it!! That was so painful and sad.

the Kestrel and the Razgriz may be outgunned, but they have skillz on their side, they only need 5 ships. and the other two fleets have at least 20 ships each. so yeah.

I can't argue with that man. That was the main thing I was annoyed with in AC6 was the weak variety of planes, since the series kept adding more as it progressed in the pass. I was hoping more would be added to download on XBL but I guess I was wrong...

It definitely had the best story, I still can't help but to like the whole "emotion" of Zero though. 6 was a disappointment to me.
