Gotta question why when I press play to listen to the song why does it make a stupid noise its hard to say what i want to say but when i put audio inside the panel, where you split etc. i get this weird noise and not the actual audio what am I doing wrong?

Many people prefers Sony vegas for most basic video editing, it is fast and easier in several ways. But it doesn't change the fact that FCP and Avid is the industry standard and most people will chuckle a bit learning that you use sony vegas.

I use fcp and sony vegas, and tbh - There isn't really much of a difference, in capabilities atleast. They are world apart on how you use them though.

@FaceTrueReality I prefer Sony Vegas by a long shot. The only thing i like about final cut, is when you play the video in the sample, its smoother than Vegas but Vegas has so much more options with effects and so much more. You also have more options when it comes to rendering you videos.

@stopanniee Pretty much, yeah. Premiere Pro is the closest you'll get interface-wise on the PC. Avid Media Composer is available on PC (the accepted industry standard above Final Cut), but it has a really step learning curve.

lol dude.....thats like the simplest thing evar!

just go to the timeline, drag your mouse to the edge of the blue bar you want to trim, click and hold, and drag it downwards, thats how i do it
