  • Bmw rulles !!!!

  • Cool game! i want it

  • Fucking hazard-warning signal flasher :) this sucks

  • nice to see someone who can change gear!

  • The car seems to be very efficient & the driver too. ;)

  • dsg ??? :D

  • Pause the video at 0.23 and tell me if the car understeer what he will be able to do...

  • Santaclause, schoolboy shut up your mouth, first do your driving licence before you speak about cars, and then respect the opinion of adult persons, puppy butthead that you are, here we speak about cars not about tele commanded baby cars where you are fan of, at least you prefer these sites, for you chicco most of the cars will be dreams forever in your life. If you know who your parents are, they will tell you the same, santabeavis you are!!! The last time you nerve me!!!

  • Probably you are clothed everyday like santaclause so you are limited with your movings by hands and feet, you probably sleep every night with a prospectus of clio rs. Sportscars today have such a direct steering, you turn the steering wheel half you do 360° degrees with the vehicule, so good rally as f1, and foot brake is still used however by right or left foot. But guy you attack with words what you want from me? First do your driving licence, if you are able, then polish your 1:18 burago. ok

  • The renault clio rs, it s bullshit, a maximum torque like a fiat 127 sport in the eighties, 20 years ago i had a R5 turbo2, difference between day and night!!!! The guy in the video should drive a scooter with his hands crossing, absurd this driver, probably his first kilometers in his life. Renault is no more able to construct sports cars, clio rs what s this for????!!!!????

  • @xthirion. rally drivers and F1 drivers cross there hands. they also left foot brake. i surpose thats absurd? i think it,s you who is the muppet not this guy.

  • dashboard is ugly like all clios

  • Van er wha? Nice no less love 4 that tight package. The car schools serious contenders on a tight track.. but you guys squabbling over technique? common you would loose to a 93 because we don't give a fuck & do drive! 3:)> chuck U farly. I know fags like you your engineers & have no practicality about , maybe y'all should take a F'kin course. :D learn how to operate withn its perimeters & most of all maintain Y'all!

  • nice riding but as repeatedly said work on that inner hand its a small attention to keep up with...also try to push urself strongly into ur seat all the time with ur left leg so U dont need to re-adjust ur position while driving even while braking as long as possible...in the beginning U will feel tired quite fast but when u get used to it U will have a better feeling with the car

  • dude, you cross hands, you look like you're driving a bumper car!

  • thats a piece of superb driving here. one of the best videos on yt. i love it how you initiate the turn before letting off the brake completely to find more front wheel grip

  • yeah! good driver!! and nice car and sound!! like a rally car!...ah pensavo nn fossi italiano!...cmq veramente bella macchina!! io sono innamorato della focus rs...praticamente wrc! e cmq....le braccia si incrociano!! specialmente quando l'angolo della curva te lo permette...!ma la macchina è originale giusto?! e come è fatta la ripresa..? cn la mia macchina ci ho provato ma mi vengono troppo mosse!

  • @marciblu

    forse con supporto...

  • yeah! good driver!! and nice car and sound!! like a rally car!

  • that is not a clio rs i work as a mechanic for ranault an that is a normal clio a rs has yellow speedometer and has white lights the normal clio has red so this is a normal clio with the normal engine i would say 1.6

so dont say such things if it isnt true

  • @MrOnkelz89

    FAIL!! haha

this IS a clio rs. its a clio 197 which were built 2006-2009. then the clio 200 came along with a facelifting and few technical upgrades. the 200's have a yellow speedometer, the 197 have normal ones. but only the rs models have a red stripe on the top of the steering wheel.

fact: it IS a clio rs :P

ps. hopefully you haven't built my clio 197 :P

  • this is the correct cornering method: watch?v=NgDK4wiZJ_M

it's explained by one of the top romanian race drivers

  • the problem about crossing the hands ist that you'll break your arms in case of a crash (because of the belts and the airbag). its ok to cross hands in a racecar, but not on a roadcar.

i know, its hard to correct that, but try not to cross your arms while normal driving. somewhen you'll get used to it and get confident to use that techique in sporty driving.

ps. clio 197 rocks!! i've got one in black ;)

  • One should never let go of the 3 and 9 position, the reason for this is so you know where the front wheels are pointing at all times!!!!

  • @btm00111 That's not true ;) Crossing your arms will make you loose a lot of power and control over the steering. If something goes wrong, e.g. you hit a curb, you risk loosing the steering wheel off your hands. Not only Walter Rhoerls insists to re-position your outer hand early enough. So in a corner to the left, reposition your right hand first. Knowing where your front wheels are going is something you have to feel. It's more important not to loose the steering wheel.

  • @vortex3k in a corner to the left u must replace the inner hand (left hand) if u replace the right hand first U risk not to control the car when it goes wrong pulling the steering wheel is easier and faster then pushing it back

also when cornering to the left it is more likely U will have to counter steer to the right, so the right hand is already in its place at 3oclock...Never replace the outher hand of the way u are turning.

  • @eraserke i think there are as many "how to do it right" ideas as there are drivers. One thing I learnt from multiple sports drivers trainings and books is to position the outer hand first, as it is a MUST to push the steering wheel as this is more precise and you have more power to hold the wheel when it encouters strong forces. For counter steering it's the same: when cornering left and positioning the right hand first, you have the left hand in proper position to do counter steering.

  • @vortex3k I suggest U take a good look on youtube when professional drivers are changing hands normally they will Never replace the outher hand because when U need to counter steer noone of the hands are in a good place...thats why U need to leave the outher hand in the "drive straight" place. when re-controlling the car both hands will be replaced but thats not what this is about I think this guy above knows what he's doing just needs to adapt minor things.

  • @eraserke BTW: that's one thing, you'll absolutely read everywhere: Push instead of pull! Therefore you also have to counter steer by pushing. So driving a left corner, counter steering should (to the right) be done witht the left hand too as your hands are capable of handling more forces like this.

  • @vortex3k off course thats why u replace the inner hand instead of the outher hand ;)

  • @vortex3k sure I never said U don't have to use the inner hand, of course when counter steering U need to use both hands (at 3 and 9) if u start replacing both hands U will encourage the behaviour of the car and risk not controlling it at all just to have a conclusion: always leave the outher hand at its place and when counter steering never put to much steering in the slide because U will make the slide worse...

  • Not so great driving, do not go in bends in 4th, do not cross your arms like that, you'll find yourself in a very bad situation one day.

  • i think these cars are sick.

  • good gear change but do not cross your arms. By the way I think you can drive good. Ps: FUCKIN' GREAT CAR

  • Just drove this car for 1.5 hours (a friends car). Man, it's pure fun this little thing! :D

  • great driving man!!

  • Wow, nice driving. :)

    P.S. Where is it?

  • Nice driving!

    Where is the yellow tach?

  • @idin1976

    that's a 197

You'll find the yellow rev counter on the 200

  • now thats what i expect from a video called onboard! great job

  • ma come cazzo incroci le braccia!

  • verry nice video and verry nice driving style . agressive :X . GOOD JOB.

  • woman driving

  • people, he doesn't cross his hand!. He holds the steering wheel properly. He just turns them too much and you misinterpret that as crossing.

  • A little more to learn. NO HAND CROSSING !!!

  • NICE DRIVING!!!!!!

  • MANEJA HORRIBLE!!!! ESTE CABRON!!.. COMO CORREDOR SE MUERE DE HAMBRE!!!!

  • Nice car and congratulations if you own it, but please learn proper handling techniques. It may save your life the next time you drive on the twisties.

  • good sound!

  • You people are completely clueless. His is not crossing his hands.

  • Sweet video! How did you mount the camera for that point of view?

  • I'm surprised you have a gear box left.

  • of course you cross your hands, why would you remove your hands from the wheel when driving hard, its not your bloddy driving test your on

  • WORST STYLE EVER SEEN...SORRY!!!

  • your hands dude !

  • oh man why cant you downshift directly IV to II without silly intermediation thru IIIrd gear??

  • @karkass4 Try shifting to 2nd gear at 120-130 km/h and you will see why....

  • idiot

  • why is not good to croos the hands?

  • Ahhhh le bruit !

  • break your arms

  • lol lame driver crosing hands

  • non incrociare le braccia!!! don't cross your arms!!!

  • This is like a touring car

  • not breaking the speed limit ! lol

  • I love the way the tires squeal when braking into the corner... shows that you can be confident with the car. Nice heel and toe downshifts!

  • i like the sound!!!!

  • NO CRUCES ASI LAS MANOS!!

  • monstre

  • advice: do not cross your hands!

  • @alexmeeng Actualy that´s the right way to do race driving. Not on the public road ofcourse with an airbag on...

  • @alexmeeng

    Why Not

crossing my hands help me on a headpin in Laguna Saga

  • @alexmeeng

do cross your arms that way u dont take ur arms off the streein wheel that way u get more of a feel for the car btw that was said by a racing driver :)

  • init asking for trouble and then sum lmao

  • @alexmeeng When your passing your test maybe, but advanced driving instructors will always tell you to cross your hands.

  • @alexmeeng

Yeah it's stuid you are a nerd

  • @alexmeeng he keeps the steering wheel properly so... you should take a few more lessons ;)

  • @alexmeeng dude wtf, have you just passed your driving test?

  • @alexmeeng when racing on tracks and races it's correct to cross the hands! the racing courses teach this!

  • @alexmeeng I guess you mean arms not hands. He's doing it perfectly right. What's your point? Are you actually advising to let go of the wheel to grip it in another place? Sheesh dude. And people even vote you up, textbook example internet stupidity. Let's hope nobody crashes his car because of your recommendation.

  • @me1ne He is doing it wrong. Some rally onboards are more than thousand words - try to watch them and compare . However nice driving from the RS driver!

  • @alexmeeng You'll find when on the track/driving fast, it's quite good practice not to move your hands around the wheel or feed the wheel through your hands. Nothing wrong with what he's doing.

  • @alexmeeng not true. idiot's advice. ask any rally driver

  • @alexmeeng advice: dont give any advices again.

  • @linkmaniaaa He is right you know im some way...

  • @alexmeeng At least for a minute, he uses the correct position for hands, a bit mistake near the end, but it's a normal error :)

  • Comment removed

  • @alexmeeng LOL was just thinking that :L

"Dont cross your hands - instant fail" :L

  • @alexmeeng This guy cant't really drive. He's not even heel and toeing!

  • @CochiTravels Lots of morons without driving license commenting here....this is a FWD car with a small engine, these is no point in heal and toeing. And second, for those who comment his hand position, its perfectly fine. You're all saying "dont cross your hands dont cross your hand bla bla bla", because you heard it from someone else, and you're actually too dumb to understand when to and when not to cross your hands.

  • @derbigpr500 I said nothing about the hands crossing. That's legit sometimes. But heel and toeing has nothing to do with the kind of traction your car has. It's simply a lot lot safer for you (there is less chance for the wheels to spin if the tarmac is greasy) and for the gearbox: you'll notice that if you heel and toe the gear shifting is slicker, quicker and there is less effort to do when inserting a gear, plus the synchronizer doesn't have to work that much, increasing the life of the box.

  • @derbigpr500 BTW you are a moron honey. I didn't insult you in any way.

  • lasciala scorrereee

  • Ouais a mort ...

    bimbominkia vai a scuola

  • yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa full power i love my car

  • Preety good driving ... but realy lear how to heel 'n toe on your downshifts or at least blip the throttle while dowshifting ... it smoothes yout drive and spares some stress on the clutch

But all in all preeyt good drive ! Keep practising!

  • look the arms o.O

  • ??? whats wrong you drive with foots?

  • with my feet i drive better...the arms must not cross friend

  • oh i just didint figure that,,, anyway he is a good driver

    adoro o carro

  • You need to learn how to heel toe on downshifts. Especially if you own a car like this to get the most out of it.

  • I want one! We need Renault in the US!

  • you dont lol theyre good cars but there are alot better out there! I can say that because I've got a Megane Turbo myself.. theyre just cheaper than their competitors

  • The Megane Turbo won hot hatch of the year! Id still rather have the Clio. We don't have any hot hatches here anymore. Americans don't like them. WRX, GTI and Mazdaspeed 3 are the only ones left and they're too expensive. We don't even have a Honda hatch anymore. A used Miata is the only small cheap car worth a damn here.

  • well.. yeah I didnt think of it as having no hot hatches to choose from. we get a shit load in the UK and it would suck to not have them. Although.. I myself prefer big monsterous cars with thundering v8 engines lol

  • Yeah I'm jealous. I'd be in heaven trying to pick a car in the UK, and not just from hatches either. You guys get all the cool special editions like the FQ400. Where I live there's quite a few V8 muscle cars around like Mustangs and the new Camaro, but they're going the way of the dinosaur sooner than later. We just got the Pontiac G8 (Holden Commodore) and it's already cut with the rest of Pontiac!

  • You should really heal and toe buddy - it will double the life of your clutch and smooth out the downshifts.

  • Spot on! You can even hear a bit of compression lock up on some down shifts

Also crossing your arms like that whilst steering isnt good.

  • Yeah when it goes from 3rd to 2nd you can hear the tyres lock for a second. I drive an M3 - try not heal and toeing in that and you die if the rears lock up. He's shifting far to hard as well, hardly giving the gearbox and easy time. Always makes me laugh when people think they can drive fast but don't know the first thing about vehicle controls and mechanics. I'd only rate myself as 7/10, I always heal and toe and match revs on down shifts, but I don't left foot brake as much as I should.

  • I´ve never seen anyone posting a video in which he is driving a car on the road like a crazy biker... maybe a bit slower.

One last thing: You have to learn how to double-clutch, otherwise you´ll have problems if you drive cars with even more power.

  • you need some driving tips mate

  • es incrible el Clio,

  • bella guida del cavolo incrociare le mani in curva!!

  • Nice shiftin' but it can be even faster!

The car is just brilliant. The biggest bang for the buck - fun, fast, cute.

  • WTF?! Its not about shiftin fast, dont talk shit if u dont have a clue about driving....

  • HEhe, no hard feelings, but i have a racing license and i do quite some races, including the RS cup.

I have my second RS now. Do not bother, just smile, cuz u have such a great car.

  • Well dunno about that racing licence but i know i have a great car. :D Its made in Novo Mesto in ur home country. We are neighbours Im from Croatia.Pozdrav....

  • Pozdrav :)

  • very nice driver

  • nice shifting

  • Quel pilote... Ptetre arreter de croiser les bras non ?

  • He's driving the proper racing way you pilik. Feeling the car through your thumbs and crossing arms. That way you know how far to turn, should the car go into understeer/oversteer.

  • feeling the car through your thumbs??????????NO NO NO...it is through your butt that you must feel the car...

  • Of course, but you feel the car through your thumbs as well. I was for the most part commenting on the fact that crossing your arms is correct.

  • so what if he suddenly needs to turn further in that direction? on some of those bends he'd be screwed!

  • Yeah you make a good point. Day to day driving its not that convenient (street corners are often too sharp). Just trying to prove my point that that is the correct racing driving technique.
