  • i love ur RAM.......

  • lol Awesome RAM on a shit board xD

  • I want to remove the heatsink with my motherboard attached to the case. can i just pull the heatsink after turning the 4 screws, anyone please? i don't have access to the back of the motherboard.

  • Thank you!

  • Wow, a nice fluffy white towel to work on....... not an ideal piece of anti-static equipment......

Do you think it ever worked again????

  • you need to change the title wasting goddamn time

  • how do you remove the fan from your heatsink?

  • shake shake shake

  • Manhandled that mobo like a baws

  • nice, no sweat there...

  • thanx mann .zou r the best

  • crack lack!

  • why would anyone dislike this video? he was running out of time so he had to hurry. ive learned more from this video than dozens of other 6 minutes ones where the guys were " more gentle" to the godamned motherboard

  • @marcos20alves totally agree. i've been pissin about in random forum's and vids for close to an hour now. no use whatsoever, finally came across this guy. thanks kwei206

  • LOL fuck I tear this out fuck I rip that out

I was looking forward to the "to hell with the entire board" phase

  • lol

  • Nervouz??

  • lol

  • holy fuck man, ive seen a ball and chain take a building down more gentle 0_o

  • do i need to take the motherboard out?

  • TRYYYYY A LITTLE TENDENESS!!!!

  • is this ECS P4M890T-M (V2.0) motherboard?

  • you need to stop masturbating =)

  • @Boodhunnilesh holy shit lol

  • quit smokin lol

  • I bought the same heatsink thats in this video. My lga 775 comes with screws only. How do i remove the screws and make it so that i can put push pins in. Do I just remove the backplate or do i need to buy something for it.

  • Comment removed

  • Like the music says - try a little tenderness dude!

  • first of all, this is a stupid way to remove the heatsink. first, unlock and pull up all four pegs. once all four are unlocked and pulled up, only then you can pull the whole heatsink all the way off the board without much fuss. you can even do that with the board screwed on the casing! as for the anti static band, all you have to do is discharge built up energy on the casing and you're fine. this vid got me laughing so hard, when he was poking under the board, i got some spit on my monitor

  • Be gentle like touching a pussy...

  • That is TERRIBLE technique! Ya don't work on electronic components on a terrycloth towel. Sheesh, man ya want a static shock to fry your motherboard? And it is not necessary to get to the underside of the motherboard to push any pins up. You need nimble hands. You use your hands like mule hoofs batting at flies.

  • i see your hand is shaking =))

  • nice

  • This is how you would remove a heatsink if you don't care if the motherboard or processor ever works again

  • Fuck ya. Grounding straps are for fags

  • excellent vid - thanks!

  • u used speed?

  • thumbs up if you think he doesnt care about his computer parts

  • They coudn't invent an easier system, could they? Thanks for the vid! You saved me :P

  • Really should be wearing grounding straps.

  • @TiredOldFart I don't think grounding straps are mandatory. I built my machine without one. No problems.

  • thx man

  • Will this cpu fit in my computer?Intel Pentium E6700 Wolfdale 3.2GHz 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775.My desktops socket is lga 775 so can any cpu with a lga775 socket work? Here are the cpu specs on my pc.•Operating speed: Up to 2.2ghz

•Socket: no socket (this processor is soldered onto the motherboard)

    Processor upgrade information

    Socket type: 775

Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:

    •Core 2 Duo E7xxx (Wolfdale-M)

    •Core 2 Duo E4x00 (Conroe)

    •Pentium E2xxx series (Conroe)

  • nice work

  • ok

  • the RAM doesn't need to come out

  • hmm i did'nt know you could unlock them with a screw driver i just used my fingers.

    i hate push pins.

  • @opisex lol i didant know that to XD i was like... (when i removed my cpu) what the heck are this holes here...now i know lol XD

  • CROSSFIRE PCI-E SLOT PLACEMENT FAIL

  • @FRURMELLL i agree too xD

  • You have to teach you, how to open computer. I can se to you! you jokes fuck computer ... you open like a child.

  • i broke my processor and i'm screwed when my mom finds out!!! (on another old computer) :'{ are processors replaceable?

  • all you have socket 775 motherboard supports core 2 quad processor??

  • @The93loco Depends on the mobo

  • duo 2 sucks i have intel quad q660

  • @bobctx Congratulations my intellectually challenged friend, you are the only person in the world with an Intel Quad q660, might I be so bold as to ask the specificstions of this unique, one off processor. Also, what in the name of all that is holy is duo 2......wait my 6yo niece has just explained it all to me. She says you meant a Core 2 Quad Q6600 (same as the one in my PC), (AMD X4 965 in my other one) and a Core 2 Duo. So it seems YOU suck.

  • @bobctx Are you really that retarded??? To start off with there is no such chip as a q660, however there is a q6600. You imbecile.

  • He's watching "The Commitments" in the background.

  • you where kinda hard on the mother board!!!!!

  • Friggin weird fan fixation structure. I opened my PC and I thought I had somehow immersed into a episode of Lost or Twilight Zone.

  • you sound like darth vader breathing through that mask but otherwise nice vid

  • what type of procsor was that one.

    Nice vid

  • man you are gentle like a t. rex

  • so basicly what you do to put processor out of pc is just do exact opposity of safety stuff

  • @patko1610

    yippie!

    a new word, opposity.

  • @pathman2 jeez again my gramar

  • lolololololololololollolololololol

  • damn that's an aluminum core.....why would intel being so cheap?

  • good god son, your so damn shakey and don't give a crap about what condition the componets are in.

  • anti-static stuff is over-rated. i've been building my own pc's for the better part of 12-13 years now and i've never had a component go bad due to "anti-static" no matter how rough i've kept them stored or installed.

i have on the other hand, had a graphics card steadily go bad due to heat, and a cpu fry the instant i powered a system on(after i got back from iraq), as well as hdd's steadily die(as my 1.5tb is doing right now)

  • u handle motherbord like redneck

  • What the fuck are you doing? xD You're way to hardcore with those components.

  • dude be careful ur gonna wreck ur motherboard

u dont hold the fan to move ur motherboard or shake the fan to get it losen!

  • wow i bet he buyed a new motherboard after this

  • what the fuck is wrong with your shaking hands

  • k so i had one of those soft blankets and they are staticy as fuck..

  • OMG!!! AN ECS MOTHRTBOARD!!!!!! looks like my old p4m800pro-m v2 except it doesnt have 4 ram slots... THE WORST BOARD I HAVE EVER OWNED, i burned it in my backyard :)

  • This is horrible... :O

  • Thanks dude.

  • That was the harshest handling I have ever seen. Nice camera on the bed that luckily caught this. Please dont make any more "helpful" videos.

  • be a little more gentle man

  • hey this may sound dumb is the old cpu still good wen removed cause i have another pc i want to put my old one in and get i7 for the one im yousing

  • @garthroller Depends on if your motherboard supports that new CPU.

  • Alter trink weniger Kaffee das ist ja abnormal wie deine Hände zittern O.o

  • he was probably using the towel to dry off the motherboard after he washed off the dust.

  • Don't Even dare to put mobo on that towel again!

  • good work man

  • 15 mons for parts to work

  • que porra de tecnico que é esse relando a mao na placa tu queima toda ela

  • Sigh, all these "experts" in the comments that probably have fried several CPUs and RAM sticks. Look, if you know wtf you're doing (which this guy seems to know) then his approach is FINE. If you don't know what you're doing then by all means hook yourself up to ground, use anti-virus software, use a firewall or better yet: pay someone to fix your stuff for you. But if you know wtf you're doing, well...then you don't need that.

/a former consultant that switched fields to something more fun

  • Thanks for making this vid man, I had trouble remembering how to take it off as I was upgrading from E6750 Core 2 Duo to E6750 Core 2 Quad today, installed a Thermalright 120 Ultra Extreme 775, hooked it up to the Aerogate II fan controller (As it had a 3 pin power connector, not giving it any power via motherboard) Currently running at 25 degrees, and, only 2 mins after first startup with newly applied cooling paste!! :D

  • i feel sorry for the motherboard

  • Why what did the Motherboard ever do to you? And to all those people stating you really dont need an electrostatic wristband it all depends on the surface if your on carpet get your wristband out if your on hardwood why you trying to break your motherboard and if your on crack do what kwei2006 did.

  • Thanks

  • Who was that guy, did a computer assembly video, in teh Video info he said 'don't say anything about the carpet and what I'm using" and the video was hilarious, and in comments someone called it "The Blair Witch Project of Computer Tutorials" I can't seem to find that one...

  • You don't NEED a anti static band, seriously people, give it up already, I can understand if you blew your paycheck on something like this then the paranoid phase kicks in, but not everyone is that cautious, I built mine without a band, I handle circuit boards in my job and never shorted one, its all bullshit. Unless you really try to do it, or just downright clueless, or shit luck.

  • @opretpally or handling a Van Der Graff generator while touching you motherboard...

  • @opretpally i fixed my P4 Linux computer on carpet and it still works!

  • @opretpally

if you charge up enough static, it could be damaged

  • @opretpally I know that it never happened to you, but theoretically static electricity could damage the board, or any other electronic component for that matter. Saying that its not necessary because it did not happen is like saying that buckling up in an airplane is not necessary because you never crashed in one. You can always ground yourself with a metal object electrically connected to the ground. You will certainly not call it "shit luck" when it happens to you.

  • @opretpally ya i know they say to "touch a metal part of the case" but i do that anyways when i'm sliding it open

  • That was brutal i almost started to cry.

  • brutallity

  • this vid should be called "how to break a motherboard"

  • Not much evidence of anti-static precautions here!

  • jeez dude, it's not a race

  • ok ppl, listen

do NOT do this the way he is, u have a higher chance of destroying your motherboard AND cpu than taking off the heat sink

never lift a board by the heat sink and never act with it so roughly be gentle and it will be alot simpler !

  • @IheartPCgaming Yup.

  • its a good idea to take out motherboard from case but not to touch it all thay way and lift it up and ecc..

  • Maby you should know what you are doing before you do something? You are like a kid whit a new toy... :S

  • very goob video

  • what the Fuck is wrong with you: you are the dumbest ass on the planet. A monkey could do a better job than you. Why the hell did you take it out of the tower. And i know that no processor in the world is smooth. remove this video. Wow you take the cake. Good thing you never showed your face on here.

  • whats wrong with taking the motherboard out of the case?? it would be a lot harder to work with inside the case? no processor is smooth.. wat u mean by that?

  • what the Fuck is wrong with you: you are the dumbiest ass on the planet. A monkey could do a better job than you. Why the hell did you take it out of the tower. And i know that no processor in the world is smooth. remove this video.

  • haha, noob!

  • I agree with NMCreator!!!!

OMG! You are a fucking idiot! You place the motherboard on a towel, after that you forced the headsink to remove and the cpu also!!! You are a fucking retard. If you were a PC techician working on my company i would kick you out and have your hands cut! Idiot!

  • hi I want to know do I really need to remove the mobo from the case to be able to remove the original heatsink?

  • Are you taking it apart on a towel? Or carpet?

  • Love the pinless chips but HATE! the heatink

  • This was disgusting. I bet you've ruined more than your share of components

  • @NMCreator Not that unsafe..... You know these components are pretty durable...

  • @NMCreator he sounded nervous LOL.. but it was sad cause he fails.

  • you should get watercooling system :)

  • Do i need to buy thermal glue to install my cpu into my new motherboard? Can I just put the fan on without thermal glue?

  • it recomended to add thermal paste/glue.

then the heat distrubution is better and then the cpu is not getting very hot

  • approximately how much do i need to put, all over or just a bit in the middle of the cpu?

  • @AudioImpression On most coolers it's preapplied. If not then you ABSOLUTELY need thermal paste. Otherwise, there would be no contact between heatsink and CPU, and it will burn up.

  • @FRURMELLL

water cooling is high maintenance, not everone want to check the levels or when the cheap hoses start to crack uh-uh time for a new one.

  • thermal paste is a must! and yes this video is all wrong try another if you really want to know how to take CPU out this guy has no idea..

  • My fan is different. Does that matter?

  • I was looking for a way to remove this heatsink..

    Thanks a lot dude..

  • You're fast :)

  • Wow, someone was eager...

  • Yo my socet now is 775 LGA (pentium 4) can i put in core 2 quad q9400 2.66 ghz ?? please help it says 775 socket on the q9400 so can i install it on my old pentium 4 ???

  • Yep.

  • thanks ^^

  • It depends on your motherboard, go on your motherboards site and check your motherboard's cpu support list, if it says Q9400 then yeh it will support it.

  • @Cr1ptlord Yes you can. But you just cant install the new i5 and i7

  • @Cr1ptlord Wait! Before you do that, make sure your motherboard supports it. Just because it's the same socket doesn't mean it will work. I tried upgrading from a pentium 4 to a e5200, and all the fans just went on 100%, and no post. I have a new computer now, with a 1055t sixcore.

  • @FRURMELLL Thanks for the response :D But i got a new gaming PC :D

  • you will destroy the motherboard man!more carefully

  • I haven't touched my CPU in years and needed to remove it to fix overheating issues, but didn't want to just screw around randomly in my case. You saved me some time and frustration. Thanks!

  • Properly best to use anti-static gloves (to avoid electric shock / damaging the motherboard), and not too move the motherboard by using the heat sync.

This is not the safest tutorial I've seen...

  • @ecorg911

i've been messing with computers 12 years.. you're technically correct you should use a anti-static braclet.

although you can also touch a unpainted metal surface on your case.

although honestly? ESD is extremely rare .. just dont wear socks and rub your feet across the carpet before working on one :P

  • Thanks i was having touble getting the fan out, your video actually helps!

  • wow man thanks a lot u helped me, i feel like dumb now it was too easy xD

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks man... good video

  • Oh! You feel so much better!

You are just an ugly piece of shit.

So next time shut up and stay calm!

    Have a good live!

  • HA HA...You are as witty as you are skilled with a screwdriver!......what is this a retards lesson in how to unscrew 4 screws!!..ha ha!...what a fucking joke this video is...it is absolutely fuckin pointless!...people here saying cheers mate ive wasted hours trying to remove a heatsink?...wtf..is this youtube or retards tube!..ffs..and using a synthetic carpet is inviting static..look it up you fucking amateur!!!!

  • wat an amateur!!!...can anyone tell me what the point of this retarded video is?....its obviously not a lesson in good pc engineering!

  • Is it true what they say about the size of your CPU ? I have never seen one that big. Are all new computers now with these oversized CPUs ?

  • Cheers mate, I've wasted hours trying to figure out how to remove the heatsink and, although this won't give me those hours back, it certainly will save me a few more :-).

  • Lol, VERY un-professional!

You're shaking man, and you putted the MB on carpet!

  • you're poor that you know ;) Fuck xD

  • so im about to replace a celeron cpu with a core 2 quad. and when i take the fan off, do i have to remove my mobo from my case to get the fan off because of those little plastic nobs. or can i just pull it out?

  • All those videos about removing the heatsink and cpu altogether don't answer my question, which seems to be unsolvable !! How can I remove my cpu, which is attached with thermal glue, from my heatsink ? Simple question, no answer. I can't use a knive, can I ? It's so well attached, gosh !

  • I've never seen that happen... But I guess you can just pry it out. The CPU surface isnt all that soft and sensitive, so a box cutter would probably work out fine.

  • @BlingBlingDo, I hope you didn't try to remove the fan/heatsink the way this idiot did in the video.

Anyway, run something like a 3D demo to cause the CPU to heat up. Then shut off the computer, and GENTLY AND SLOWLY twist the heatsink off.

  • LOL I love the frustration working with all those little plastic parts. Good video!

  • know i know exactly how to steal somebody's cpu and ram in less than 90 seconds! thanks!

  • Thanks for this video man.

  • i wonder why his hands are so shaking? overdose?

  • not everyone is a drug addict like you my friend.

  • lol, i'm not the one in video, and i have no problems with drugs...

you are judging people too quickly...

  • Wow im surprized this guy didnt just rip his cpu out of this socket lol

  • do u guys think AMD's heatsink is a better design?

  • no...

  • now would u be able to do this if the mobo is already inside the case?

  • The guy making this video over-complicates it. Its just undo 4 easy screws and pull off. But I must warn if your case is cluttered or the heat sink is near the PSU, one of the screws might be hard to access.

  • yep

  • most definatly not.

  • no. I moved harddrive from one computer to next, and windows just updated peripherals, and kept going.

  • no i don't think so

  • noob you dont push that thing from the back of the mobo you just turn the that little knob and pull it up!

  • you cant call him a nOOb cuz all boards are diffrent well most.

  • I have two PC. I want to switch thier processor. is it posible?

    PC1: pentium 4 1.8ghz

    PC2: celeron d 2.93ghz
