@PROGNUT777 hi try looking at the rest of the vids of my original tunes like 'can you hear me' and 'trust'...theyre kind of borderline AOR, pop, rock and maybe a tiny bit of prog!
too feelgood aftershool special elevator muzak, prefer tangerine dream phillipglass stuff, but its well played good sound quality and chops jsut dont liek direction/style of music,no offense
no worries dude. i love phillip glass (met him and he was the nicest guy). like TD as well. i like to think my material is for the masses so i try to make it sound great everywhere including elevators and dentist's waiting rooms ;)
Beautifully played! I liked the last part with the piano and strings very much! Thank you for playing music!
I've been playing the piano for a couple of years, a Rösler upright. And now that I've graduated I soon have to move from home. Can't take the piano to the appartment, so a portable digital piano with great sounds & feel of a real piano would be perfect. Do you think I would enjoy the PC3x? Is the keybed great for playing or will it make it harder to practice all these classical pieces?
hi thanks for the feedback. remember is you ditch the real piano, you'll need some kind of amp to run a digital piano with..the pc3 does not have speakers built in. i can't tell you if the pc3x's keybed is any good as i haven't played one. the pc3 is non weighted. if you're used to a real piano, then im sure you'll find the pc3x's keybed fine to play. try it out first if you can.
I bought the PC3x a week ago! I'm very happy. It sounds so beautiful, not only the pianos but also the orchestrals and ep's. I havn't touched my acoustic piano since, the Kurz sounds way better and I never have to worry about tuning... and if I want that detuned sound it's possible too through programming xD
Yeah I played that one too at store. However I bought the PC3x.. it has way better sounds and the feel is great. Maybe the keys doesn't feel like a pianos but they responds like one and they really are weighted. I didn't hesitate one moment... but thanks for advice anyway ;)
sorry jorudb i forgot. it could have been a performance patch though. i remember going through the whole lot in performance mode until i found one i liked..
glad you like the demos! ok... yes its a tough one. they both have their own unique sound. it really depends on what you want use it for. for pianos..its hands down pc3. for bright sounds eg brass...xs. although ive been spending a lot of time with the pc3 though..it just has that 'something' ;)
Are you able to get a fat guitar sound out of the PC3x like the 'Hard Ramp' patch on the motif xs? I've been tweaking for hours and I still haven't got it like I want it.
yes youre right i can easily do that. somehow i prefer having at least 2 physical keyboards at my disposal. but yes for this tune, that would have made life a bit easier! i guess it looks good for the camera ;)
pc3 was the studio piano preset and later on it was mixed with strings (sorry dont remember which!). motif i really dont remember. probably a performance patch. i do agree theyre both lovely.
That choir sound is not coming from the Motif's ROM is it? Sounds like a big sample, Spectrasonics or something.Motif XS still sounds great regardless, excellent playing BTW.
hi. believe it or not i havent edited any sounds on my motif! yes that choir sound is stock..sorry but dont remember which patch ..it could even have been a performance. i dont have the unit in front of me so i cant check. anyway glad you liked it ;)
Great Rack. I have the Motif Xs. It's very good too. But the PC3's pianos are the bests.

Anywho, I'd really love to see you play something with motif pianos or more stuff with motif, Your music with those sounds will fill my soul!

Yes, the sounds of the PC3 is amazing, but since you are used to play with real pianofeel you should also have a look at the Roland RD-700GX /300GX.

I don't understand why you don't just control the motif from the kurzweil. So much easier to play!
