I remember unlocking the "UFO." Such fun times. I've said it before on other videos of Vigilante 8, but it was the best car battle game to play once 989 Studios took over Twisted Metal and screw up the franchise. ...at least until TMBlack. :D

The thing I loved about Vigilante 8 is that the enviroments were so interactive, you could fly a blimp, set off traps, break through walls, and so on. I grew up with Vigilante 8 and Twisted Metal. It's a shame the Car Combat genre is so small.

I agree with herbs772 that Twisted Metal vs Vigilante 8 would actually be a great idea for a game.

although of course it does not give you as much variety as a vigilante 8 i can recommend the wii game tron evolution: battle grids for some nice car arena battle matches. it is only one discipline out of many like light cycle races and battles, but it really is much fun and reminds me of vigilante 8. you get to shoot each other with a machine gun and extra weapons you can collect, kill enemies with your light trail and boost into each other with the four wheeled lightrunners (offroad cars).
