do you happen to know where the big cave is on victorio mountian near deming, its called Arvel's Marvel but i don't know exactley where it is. Also if you want to see a cool mine go check out hilltop mine in las cruces, im pretty sure its on nasa land but it is so fun to go in if you don't get caught lol
Good video, I explored that mine growing up there in the early 80's and remember vividly how the ladder twisted. It looked much scarier looking up. We had been told that there were long horizontal runs and maybe 10 foot vertical drops so we took a ladder. We got to that first drop and foolishly went down. there was a little pit down there, but no more vertical drops. My friend told me to go back up the ladder first. I was happy to. Thanks for posting the video.

This was great - are you a miner or just like to explore? My dad used to lease a mine near Hillsboro in 1938 - we used to camp out there all the time. Thanks.
I live in Glendale, Az. We have mines at South Mtn. Park. The ones that I have been in go in and up and around and very deep. We found brown recluse spiders and bat and snakes in there. Very spook but fun if that makes any sense. Thanks for up load.
i grew up climbing those mountains and actually lapeled down that deeper part of the cave it only goes deeper!! the myth is the spanish conquistadors have hidden gold down there but who knows, but one day i will return.
p.s there is another cave on the middle mountain about 3/4 of the way up, its pretty deep but easier to access!
It's near the base of the southernmost of the Tres Hermanas mountains (Three Sisters) about 25 miles south of Deming. Keep in mind, New Mexico mines have claimed many lives over the years. These mines are subject to collapse from simple things such as vibrations from foot-steps or talking! There are rattlesnakes in there, too. I suggest staying out of there. Now that I know the dangers, I have not gone in since I made the video.
@Chadwick335 N 31.90685 W 107.69919 I have property in that area and the last time I drove by that property it was for sale, 1million. I know that there are a lot of mines on the Tres and one goes through the mountain to the west. Be careful, I have a lot of illegals going through my property and they are bad folks and will kill you. Always have a good gun and be careful.
i was camping in Ruidoso a few weeks ago and we found like a 30 year old mining cave which was blocked off by like cement or something but there was a broken part where you could crawl through, so my brother and my friend went in. and we found another in a private property place which wasn't blocked off and we all went in.. i was sared out of my mind!
anyone saw the movie "the hills have eyes" cause holy shit i wouldnt go near that place

How about the quality of the air. Any risk of poison gases?

What is the possibility of a cougar leaving inside de cave or any animal that could have attacked you?
