Now THAT'S unique. I've never seen a fan with ribbon blades before, though that seems to me to be a pretty ingenious way to create a fan that's "finger safe" without having to put a cage on it. :)
I always wanted to see one of these run, and yours looks great, even has the original printed material on the base. I think you will have a nice collection built up by the time you are older.
Thanks for showing this fan on YouTube. I'm glad to finally get to see a Ribbonaire operate. I've seen them for sale on E-bay, but I've never seen one run. All the ones I've seen before were branded with the Diehl name, but I found out that Diehl was a division of Singer anyway.
One day maybe I'll show my old fans on YouTube. I've never thought of doing that.
This looks similar to the modern Vornado Zippi fans.

@Daconthocon78 Yes, I have one of those Zippi fans and it does remind me of it.

@zookeeper1959 That's cool. These have a little resistor for low speed.I found a junker one and got the resistor out of it,so now mine has two speeds.

Very nice! That does move a good amount of air, you can hear it on the camera's mic. The sheet on the bottom is in good shape as well.
