Very nice. The only thing you could do differently is play that on bass with a maple fretboard and your tone would probably be just as bright as Tal's. Your videos are great, make sure you get out there and play in live situations. You'll learn it's not the same, if you haven't already. There is no substitute to playing with a band.

Played 'Serendipity' by Tal for my HSC (yr 12 exams) and did really well.

I also prefer to play jazz and Tal's work. I admire your style and really like how you have a deep passion for bass and jazz bass (like me)!

Thanks to Tal and female bassists like you and me, females are finally getting more attention and appreciation in the jazz and music world.

Hey, is that one of those newer GK amps that are very light? I got an MB210. It rocks. I mean, I'm about 110 pounds, and I live on a second floor. I needed something that wouldn't break my back AND put out some good volume, and the GK delivers!

@hecbiz75 yes as a matter of fact it is one of the brand new very light GK amps! and yes i wanted to play the bass but thought it might be weird since i am a girl but then i found Tal on youtube and decided that the bass was for me :)

@BassGirl5809 Awesome. Well, you know, Tal is great, but there are some other female bass players that came around way before her. Carol Kaye is a studio legend, and Suzi Quatro is a rebel chick who, in the early 1970's strapped on a bass, stepped up to the mic wearing tight jeans or spandex, and rocked the house. I believe they're both still around. If you don't know about them, you should check them out. I think it's important to always check out the originators, ya know? Rock on.
