  • this sucks put some life in it girl thats a drive song not a luloby

  • Her aunt Anita had a great version, of course Johnny cash did it in a very successful way...and now Carelene has made it her own. Her voice has darkened naturally over the years....it once sounded more like Anita but now has settled.

  • I love they way Carlene sing this song ring of fire i had seen carlene on the show RFDTV and she is about cute as can be ,one of the best

  • So amazing:)

    Thankyou so much for sharing:)

  • I love this version, excellent:)

I'd like to dedicate this to my husband of 32 years, I love you Jerry

  • This is making me dizzy !

  • @slewfoot2 , I guess you've never been in love(real love)?

  • Talent, beauty and personality!!!

  • Brilliant version

  • @nanny999999 , I agree 100%, I love this version:)

  • Shes Gorgeous, Love the song, she sang it like Carlene Carlene not her stepdad.

  • her dad has be rolling in his grave.

  • She butchered the song! This is way too slow.

  • I like the version, it is as nice as Johnny's

  • Carlene Carter has got a wonderful voice. I love her songs.

  • Just because something is played faster doesn't make it better. She's doing this with alot of feeling. I was unaware of this version until now and I like it alot ! That comment about her weight is a cheap shot and doesn't have anything to do with how well she sings

  • @mashomegula She recorded this a year or more before Johnny made it a hit

  • @Trogdorman What is your reply to my comment

  • Carlene ROCKS it!! Mama WAS proud for sure!!

  • who ever said "look what hamburgers can do to ya, learn something americans!" that wasn't ever nice..I love Carlene and I think she does this very well she really makes it something all her own :)

  • man, this version is pretty lame. at one point early in the song, it sounds like it's about to pick up and get exciting, but it fails to deliver.

    women.

  • look what hamburgers can do to ya, learn something americans!

    However, great preformance!

  • @orkanen Your an asshole. Almost EVERYONE ages and puts on weight---pay attention to her vocal ability not her weight u fukking prick.

  • @orkanen Just so you know, Charlene lost her mother, step father, sister and a long-time boyfriend-producer all in the same year. Then she successfully overcame a few addictions she developed in her attempt to dull the pain of those losses. That's when she put on the extra weight. Now she's back and has the guts to get back on stage and show us how beautiful talented she continues to be.

  • @Chiselnyc And she is still fat like most americans! Stop eating those hamburgers!

  • @Chiselnyc Thanks a lot for this interesting info. I have always admired her, she's got something special. She sings way better than her mother did (no offence, June!)

I was wondering about what happened to her during the latest years, so thanks!

  • Carlene has a magnificent voice. Love singing along to this! :)

  • @YMarrsWhenSaxManPlay Shes Good

  • Anita's version is also very pretty. I am seeing Carlene in concert in April. (I guess it's a double bill with Susan Werner).

  • she sounds great...

  • well since it was Carlene's mom that wrote it i think she can get some credits for singing it :)

  • I like Johnny Cash's version and Dwight Yoakum's version better because they're livelier, but I love that Carlene sings this because her mom cowrote it. Carlene is a wonderful testament to the Carter family members who came before her.

  • Thanks! Carlene is wonderful, as always. I like this version, but the original still holds it's place.

  • Well, please don't worry about the focus,...

I'm thankful that you took the time to share this with us, viewers. Thanks for posting!!!!!

  • I agree; it is just great to see and hear her live.

  • Thanks for posting this. I love her version.
