That's a contradicting statement, if you "have rhythm", then you're obviously born with some talent already. Then it takes practice alright, but just having a sense of rhythm doesn't automatically imply you being a virtuose... If that were the case, we'd have a hell of a lot more "smoking Robinsons" around the world today. To hold a groove is not the same thing as being able to express yourself with an instrument in the now.
