The police officers should respond with the lowest level of force necessary to restore order. The first step, officer presence, blatantly fails. Next, verbal warnings also fail. By this time, the officers move on to low level physical control. If the subjects become noncompliant, then higher use of force, such as tasers, mace, etc. is authorized.

Personally, I support the our troops being in Iraq, but I can definately understand why some people wouldnt... either arguement deserves some amount of respect for one reason or another... However, this isnt protesting the war itself, this is more like protesting the way it is being fought. And in my opinion here is the bottom line. If our troops are going to be in Iraq, then they should have access to the best vehicles and tools we have. Strykers are not the most expensive things we have.

Look in the south...Britain has handed it back to the Iraqi army without incident...and the Kurds in the North are doing just fine (except for the turkish problems but has nothing to do with the U.S.) The only regions left in chaos are the ones occupied by the US.

Who are we to decide what is best for another country with a different culture and beliefs from our own. The poeple of Iraq were better off under Saddams' regiem then they are now. At least then there was some kind of order, the poeple had drinkable water, and electricity. No wonder why they are so pissed off at us.
