@joaopedro12 I see Maestro as PARTLY correct, but having said that, this aria starts in a minor key and uses a n unusual bassoon solo in the intro for a REASON. Nemorino isn't QUITE joyous just YET and is struggling with his emotions with the new revelation. He then asks himself in the middle section, "She LOVES you. What more do you WANT??"
Why should a person sharing about their life and beliefs make you uncomfortable? He's a real person, like you. I imagine you care about something enough to share it with people, don't you? It's great that he's honest about who he is. I don't believe that a person can create and present something meaningful if they weren't deeply inspired and driven by anything meaningful first.
"That kid" is going to be famous one day, and I don't think it will be because he kept his mouth shut. Hahaha
I gave my attention to this video until that kid started banging on about 'Jesus Christ'. It made me feel massively uncomfortable. What a legend Domingo is.
They are learning from a true master! :) I remember having that same misconception of the opening of "Una furtiva lagrima". I thought it was going to be a sad aria, too. But when I heard what Domingo said, I was surprised!

@bodiloto Non penso sia l'intenzione di Domingo. Acquisire una buona tecnica è una cosa di anni. Secondo me Domingo sta cercando di fargli capire il senso dell'aria e l'interpretazione che occorre fare. Dopo per la tecnica avrà l'insegnate del consevatorio o università dove studia no?. Poi bisogna anche dire che il fatto che un cantante sia buono non vuol dire che è bravo anche a insegnare
@AndresZimmer possiamo dire pero' che Domingo avra qualche esperienza in piu del suo maestro di conservatorio... secondo me concordo con bodiloto, senza aver la base tecnica, questi master class non servono per il giovane, puo essere il miglior interpretazione nella storia, se non e guidato dalla tecnica, nessun teatro gli interesserebbe.
I would've been scared shitless if I sang in front of a guy like Placido Domingo. But he is such a patient and laid-back guy, so I probably wouldn't be scared for very long. :)
If Justin Bieber went to this, he'd be kicked out. Or publicly flogged. Domingo could help the young artists by killing the bad influences.

that tenor needs more practice, but Placido Domingo gave him the idea, the way what he need to know to start to sing that well.
