Doesn't Federer have a really flat forehand? It's tricky to control and put topspin on the ball when you are hitting like that.

@jyozeff I think he USED TO have a flatter forehand in the early years of his domination, but he appears to have changed to a more topspin-laden forehand from 2007 onwards, tweaking his game to better suit clay (you know, to get that elusive French Open). But I think he's trying to get his aggressive game back. I hope he wins more slams in 2012, and display some of his genius once again :)

@AceFuzion yeah don't get me wrong but you can clearly see that when he plays nadal or djokovic his backhand is his weakness! he sometimes manages to create amazing points but most of the time against the best players he stays in defence on the backhand side! i 'm just saying that with a better backhand he could've been number one right now even tough he's 30! i think you agree with me!

@gutilis1 Roger has an extremely effective backhand (and a beautiful to watch too), it's not that. Sadly, he's getting old (relatively), and he can't keep up with the younger players' pace, that's the only thing that gives Nadal and Djokovic an advantage... He owns (for a lack of a better term) all the others, as he showed this year on many occasions.

Federer is the best player to have ever played the sport in my humble opinion.
