GREAT series! Amazing how many people don't get it though :P The guy throughout the series is a person who works for a newspaper and the series seems to show how the humans become a taken, because he turned into one. Also, the guy in the Lincoln in the very end with his wife is Alan Wake. This series was before the game, the game leaves off where this series ends. Hope that helped some people :)

@tysonj96 It almost seems as if.. Alan is a taken as well? Remember near the beginning of the game where he goes missing for a week, having not realized it? I can't think of any other explanation for this happening.

The woman that suddenly vanished and only a shoe remained. Did he send her to another world also? And why is it always that the only thing remaining of a woman, is a shoe when she vanishes.

I dont want to give anything away, but most the the characters in this series are in the game. Also, I'll point out that Jake, the main guy in the mini series, and Alan Wake are both writers taking a trip to Bright Falls.

@Grandaddyfan209 If you have played the game you will understand that the residents of this town are being taken over by a dark force that makes them violent. Alan wake comes to the town to stop the dark force. Jake is taken over by this dark force and starts to lose grasp of time. I'm guessing that he asks the woman to get him out of town because he thinks the darkness within him would stop him from doing so. He was right, and killed the woman that is trying to get him out of town.

If you liked this, you should watch Twin Peaks too. It's a David Lynch TV series from the 80s. The director from this webseries said he was influenced by that series :)
