i never played nehrim but i just heard of it in a forum about skyrim and i gotta say this looks awesome!! this video created more atmosphere and tension with its sound and environment than i felt in the whole oblivion game! xD too bad that I'm not going to play oblivion again now that'S skyrim is gonna be released soon but I'm definitely gonna try project 5 =D

Just a heads up for everyone looking to play this: First off, it's effing brilliant. I would pay full price for this as a retail game. However, I would not advise installing this if you have the Steam version of the game, as it's a big pain to get working right and even harder to get rid of. Also, this is a HUGE system hog. I'm running Oblivion vanilla on Max, no shadows, and pulling 20-30 FPS outdoors. Nehrim was unplayable for me at Medium.

@banefirelord Its not that stupid as you think. Nehrim is running slower (at least at my pc) than Oblivion. I think its because they use more (custom) objects and more (custom) textures.

The mod is absolutely phenomenal. It blows the original Oblivion storyline out of the water. Kinda wish I spoke German but the subtitles are ok. The amount of work and dedication that went into this is really unprecedented. Thanks for all your work I really love this

Nehrim is what Oblivion should have been like. It's way more intensive, more cunning and I'd like to say "more realistic" in all cases. I've never experienced such a huge story, such detailed and unique places. Everyone who liked oblivion will love Nehrim.

@GammahooX yes the brilliant, clunky, poorly optimized engine. sorry for responding to a month old post x_x Bethesdas modding tools are basically what they use to make the game themselves, most complex mods need OBSE, oblivion script extender, because the construction set isn't designed to do anything but whats in the vanilla game

Why trash Bethesda? They put out an amazing game and then gave users the ability to make it even more amazing which they don't have to do. In the age of DLC more and more developers aren't allowing the modification of their games. Be thankful that Bethesda still does.

Bethesda had to build the entire engine, create all textures, character models and animations, design and balance a skill system, write a main quest+many many side quests, build the tools that allow modders to make such a massive expansion AND advertise all of their work.

Building on top of all this is a cake walk compared to building it completely from scratch. I'm in no way knocking the modders hard work though, it's amazing.

ich glaube die antwort spricht stark für sich. ich finds wahnsinn was die alles aus oblivion rausgeholt haben also jetzt rein optisch mit den sich im wind bewegenden bäumen und lichteffekten.

einfach klasse ich werds auf jeden fall spielen wenns komplett fertig ist

@MultiSpeedJumper wenn es hängt dann dreh die grafikeinstellungen doch mal was runter vor allem anti aliasing... und das man nicht reisen kann verhindert nur, dass man außer den städten/orten nichts von der welt sieht. man kann statt reisen teleportieren und wenn man nen esel oder pferd hat, hat man auch keine probleme von a nach b zu kommen

wenn man sich beim reisen durch nehrim langweilt ist man selbst schuld!
