wanna do the same thing to my 09 cobalt ls. i just need to get the $ for it. How much did that cost you? I was looking at magnaflow and they wanted about $630 for a catback which didnt seem too bad.
Go for it man...naw I didn't spend near that much...I parted mine together custom...magnaflow high flow cat, 2.5" piping and a flowtech afterburner muffler..all together parts wise and labor...not quite $300
yes they can...I'm going to be getting me a new tailpipe soon because the 3A tp that I have now has a slotted metal flange in it that vibrates like crazy at certain rpms..but most tailpipes..w/o a flange will not change the tone...mostly styling
I've got an SUV, what is your opinion on getting loud mufflers for SUVs? I kinda think they should only go on cars or trucks but do you think it would be alright to get a loud one on my SUV?
In my experience...ppl that have suvs and get exhaust systems...one like flowmasters...can sound raspy..but I recommend gettin a good muffler...magnaflow sounds good on a lot of suvs...youtube this "Trailblazer 6 cyl. w/ Magnaflow muffler"...sounds good and heres one with full magnaflow exhaust..."trailblazer LS magnaflow exhaust VK" - hope this helps ya
I've got an old 96 Blazer with high mileage. I don't know if I should spend over $100 on an expensive Magnaflow muffler... what do you think about putting a $30 higher pitch muffler on it, similar to a cherry bomb?
Sorry for so many comments on this video from replies lol. I've decided to go with a Flowmaster on my Blazer, it sounds awesome. YouTube this: "Some more blazer revving"
I completely understand the fart can thing...its aight on some cars...but its been beaten to death...the afterburner should give you a unique sound.. :)
dude you should trade that in on a Chevy Cruze, p.s sounds like that cobalt is pushing some HP's???!!

for a civic eh...the afterburner will do the trick....your honda will be a lot louder but with a deeper tone....I can just about guarantee that lol
ekborden 3 years ago
yeah hopefully it sounds deeper then the 3.5" resonator that's on there right now pretty much just sounds like a fart pipe lol
