If T EVER takes a 3rd base that is a gold there is a 95% chance you are going to lose that game (unless the 5% where the pro terran actually ends up shooting his own base with seige tanks).
@fixles find me a pro game where T secures a gold and loses... Find me a pro game where T secures a gold and wins, and then figure out how the zerg could have stopped it... Almost invariably the answer will be, he shouldn't have let them take that gold.
The tank pin on this map is just ridiculous. I've yet to see a zerg recover from it...though as a zerg player if you can point me to a replay I'd love to see how it's done when not already ridiculously ahead.
@toph4er Karnage from team Damage here, on Xelnaga Caverns, if they tank pin you at the choke to your natural you send some lings thru the tasteless secret hallway and flank with them from behind after morphine some banes while hitting at the same time from the front. Also, you need to scout at the 8 minute mark after a 2rax or the 7 minute mark if they expand off the 2rax to see if they are making tanks + rines and see how many factories they have. Make units with drones so you'll have enough

Attention all morons: Think about this for a second. Mutas were a good 15-20 seconds away, and all idra had to defend is drones. HES GOING TO LOSE DRONES TRYING TO KEEP THE STIMMED MARINES OUT. HE LOST. HE LEFT. There is no way in hell he could have won.
He was actually ahead. Kill the Marines/Tanks with the mutas, DDE was aggressive the whole time so Turrets are out of the question, and with that he could have brought the worker count to even while getting an expansion and a macro hatch.

@krapenstein he is not as much of a caster as a player himself. he is active on the ladder himself unlike other casters like husky and HD(they have an account but arent really considered professionals, i hope you understand what i mean here). imagine whitera would cast. he would prefer protoss of course because he knows exactly what he is talking about. i think the same goes with psy, who just knows the timings, plans counters etc etc for zerg.

Personally I think he just gives up out of frustration, its not that he 'can' win its just he is sick of dealing with 2rax + tank pressure every game its absolutely no fun to deal with and anyone that plays zerg knows this. Its not like dealing with a bunker contain. A bunker contain can be entertaining, racing drones to kill his SCV you know you could have done something. But pushing against a tank is a HUGE pain in the ass because because they are hard to push when positioned well.
@KeiranDarkwill I know the feeling, past gold every single Terran opponent I've played does this exact same build. It gets old fast, and requires a lot of great micro from the zerg(me).

@Christonzalez Considering that banelings are the only decent way to deal with terran infantry balls? It is expected that one strat would have at least one counter. However when one strat shuts down nearly all viability, it is a bit obnoxious.
Like Terran can essentially slow/safety push with a few tanks and marines, applying pressure and contain with very little effort. The resources lost are almost always higher on the Zerg side than the Terran. That is why its a bit obnoxious.

Second of all, according to that proposed bill the victim of copyright infringement via streaming has to pursue the matter in court of their own accord, which would be terribly expensive and counter-productive in every way possible for Blizzard. I doubt that there would be any negative backlash on the SC2 community.

doing a "normal 2 rax" when the zerg went hatch first might put you in a good position, if you manage to do enough damage (which a player such as DDE should be able to do, probably). But if you can't do enough damage for some reason, the zerg gets 1UP in expos while the terran is stuck on 1 base for a bit longer.
If you would instead expand, you'll still have more than enough marines to defend yourself, seeing as Z opened FE, and you'll basically outmacro or timing-push the Z from there
Hi Psy! I'm not an expert, but I think that 2rax into exp are quite popular on Xel'Naga. DDE built his CC right in the natural and you simply cannot do it with one rax due to open natural. It is also useful couse you don't need to spend money on bunkers. DDE was forced to lift off because of unexpected roach/ling preassure, but if it was normal ling preassure DDE would fend it off easly :D

man... without missle turrets in the main, 8 mutas, roughly 8-10 larv, and 1000 minerals idra could have cleaned that attack up, sent mutas to the main and lings to the natural for a pretty painful counter attack.

@Christonzalez Considering that banelings are the only decent way to deal with terran infantry balls? It is expected that one strat would have at least one counter. However when one strat shuts down nearly all viability, it is a bit obnoxious.
Like Terran can essentially slow/safety push with a few tanks and marines, applying pressure and contain with very little effort. The resources lost are almost always higher on the Zerg side than the Terran. That is why its a bit obnoxious.

@KeiranDarkwill So true, I actually switched to toss from zerg not because i lost as them a lot or thought they were up or anything, but when you play zerg you have to focus and be so immensely alert just generally to fend off attacks, and i find the game as a whole is just stressful as zerg. in idra's position, i can see that hed leave because even if you can beat them, its really just not fun having to deal with all of terran's bullshit, and if the game's not fun, what are you playing for?

IdrA is fucking lame for doing the same roach 14 pool EVERY single game no matter who he is against. he could've had infestors by then, gotten more speedlings+banelings creep highway and shattered those tanks. the problem is idra always does the same fucking opening and its only when that works he shows what a good player he is and varies his gameplay.

Second of all, according to that proposed bill the victim of copyright infringement via streaming has to pursue the matter in court of their own accord, which would be terribly expensive and counter-productive in every way possible for Blizzard. I doubt that there would be any negative backlash on the SC2 community.
In a broader sense I think that s.987 sounds like shit, but that's is no reason to spread misinformation about it.

The reason people were so angry was because he had a chance to make sc2 big outside of korea and basically fucked it up :/ Oh I agree you play to win which is why it's so frustrating when Idra leaves the game far too ealy

doing a "normal 2 rax" when the zerg went hatch first might put you in a good position, if you manage to do enough damage (which a player such as DDE should be able to do, probably). But if you can't do enough damage for some reason, the zerg gets 1UP in expos while the terran is stuck on 1 base for a bit longer.
If you would instead expand, you'll still have more than enough marines to defend yourself, seeing as Z opened FE, and you'll basically outmacro or timing-push the Z from there

Hi Psy! I'm not an expert, but I think that 2rax into exp are quite popular on Xel'Naga. DDE built his CC right in the natural and you simply cannot do it with one rax due to open natural. It is also useful couse you don't need to spend money on bunkers. DDE was forced to lift off because of unexpected roach/ling preassure, but if it was normal ling preassure DDE would fend it off easly :D

man... without missle turrets in the main, 8 mutas, roughly 8-10 larv, and 1000 minerals idra could have cleaned that attack up, sent mutas to the main and lings to the natural for a pretty painful counter attack.
