  • u stood up to early,u were suppose to be as low as possible for 20 more meters after getting out of the blocks, dats da key to lower times

  • Good work, but the 30m time is off. If you are only running a 4.8 30m while running a 10.2 80m, you are getting out of the blocks much too slowly. I tell my athletes they need a 4.1-4.2 30s to run 12.0-12.2, and that formula usually works. So either your timing is off, or you should work on more explosiveness off the blocks, or both. Good luck.

  • you run like forrest gump

  • I'm a high jumper and I run faster than you .. think about that

  • From your 100m run, I suggest you build on strength. Hit the gym more for weight training. Clearly, you've already got the frequency and your technique is not that bad too. Now all you've gotta do is build strength. I'm sure it will help in your timings =)

  • I'm 11 years old and i can run 100m in 12.33 seconds

  • @coalcowboy32 stfu no u cant i hate when ppl post fake times and shit keep it to ur self no1 believes u

  • that was in the 2008...?

    Which are your times now?

  • my friend 13 year old can run 100m in 11.27 secs and 200m in 26 secs

  • la potenza come si vede si sviluppa quando il piede e' gia alzato, si puo fare di meglio

  • . . . my 80m pb is 9.4s

  • not good your arms should be in line with your hips if you have pockets inline with your pockets and your hand should never go higher above your eye because if your hand goes above your eye and past your pockets you brake the strenght in you shoulder and that makes you slow down because you aint got that 90 degress in your arm for power so just work on that and you will do alot better

  • this is not speed endurance lmao this is 100m. Speed endurance is like 250-400m at least 3 times in a session

  • For my speed endurance for 100m I do 150m sprints and I do that to help me with breathing control in 200m

  • @alanmonty06 You're actually wrong, to build maximum speed you run at distances like 30-60m, do plyometrics, squats etc. Running from 80 and up actually builds speed endurance.

  • @Kavehisftw 80m? hehe.

  • @alanmonty06 Yes, 80m aswell. Why? Because after 50-60 meters, even down to 30m for inexperienced athletes, you have reached your maximum speed, and in sprinting, after you have reached your maximum speed, you start to decelerate, and everything beyond theese 50-60m is about maintaining your speed, and decelerate as little as possible. Even Usain Bolt is slowing down after 60m, the reason it looks like he pulls away, is because he maintains his speed better than the other competitors.

  • Up from drive phase too quick, elbows need to be higher, arm movement in-line with body; not across body (and generally, higher knees.

  • hey a quick tip is whenever you come out of the blocks stay low for the first 5-10meters also be careful not to over extend your stride

(just some problems i saw that you could work on)

  • good form i ran 12.4 with about a 45 MPH gust where are at in the 200? my problem is i bring m head straight up but ill fix it

  • my coach gave this 2 tips and from 11.3 now I do 9.5 at 80m it took me 3 days of training 1st tip only the front part of the foot must touch down 2nd tip lift your knees higher.that should improoved yout times

  • like the guy below mentioned... if you work on your start and get a good first few strides, you can shed up to .2-.3 seconds. also, drive your arms harder, bringing them to 90 degrees from the ground, yours are a little low. the same goes for the knees, but that will require a lot of hamstring training. i had almost your same form and drive in high school, but these 3 tips brought me from 12.2 to like 11.1-11.3 . it wont be easy to fix though, took me 2 years to shave that much time

  • lol your first stride is literally 10cm. try working on that, you'll knock a few hundredths of a second of your time. I'll try this session ty. I did two 120m's tonight with 7min recovery in between. I ran the first one in 14.1 and the second in 13.89.

  • yeah you're right, but that's not my usual starting technique. I normally get much better clearance for my first step - typically about 30cm past the line. in this vid I was using an alternative block setting to minimise the risk of injury.

    thanks for the input...

  • how are you timing these?

  • someone was handtiming me at the track, but also I was using the counter in moviemker while I edited the clips. not 100% accurate, I'm sure, but it gives me some kind of idea...
