Wow that is one way to scare kids. One of these days, there could be riots where you live, you could lose your mother and the one face you thought was friendly could try to rip your eyes out to make you get more money as a beggar. Oh and then if you're female you could be turned into prostitution from about the age of 10!! Nice one.

I agree - these kids live in a harsh reality. But I still don't think that the Hollywood violence & sexual themes r appropriate 4 them.

Most adults who grew up n poverty say they didn't realize how bad off they were til they were older. As kids they couldn't process it the same way... thank goodness.

I hear what you're saying, but don't see the point of bringing kids under 10 to see it. American kids - I think they should be at least 14.

um...hello, those kids in the slums live lives worse than that shown in the movie. trust me, i've seen it. so yeah, they wouldn't be shocked.

I did not say they will be shocked. They live worse lives than this only because of the fact that they see worse than this everyday. By showing this movie, all that you are doing is telling their brains that they are still in the same mess and only a miracle can save you out of it.

That's just my opinion.
