He looks pretty good to me! he`s straining? i would be to singing and belting the shit out the drum kit. if he`s not as good as ever shit he must of been something else once. Him and Brian look like they were having a great time so did the crowd!

Painful performance to watch; Roger obviously isn't anywhere near as good as he used to be. It's like I'm watching him push every bit of air out, I can see the strain in his face and throat. I can hear it too. You have to be very blind to observation to fail to notice that, and to claim even "He's still as good". He’s not as good as ever. I respect him, and give him credit for trying – at least he knows when to retire for his sake (Brian doesn’t).
Hey, fuck off. First of all he's my favourite drummer..
Second of all, you wouldn't know a term of endearment if it slapped you in the face, would you? You fuckin' fairy? I like the guy. 'Old Bugger' is a friendly poke.
Learn the language before you fucking abuse it, dirtbag...
shame his voice had do deterioate. such an amazing drummer, vocalist and song writter. sounds amazing on the night at the opera. shouldn't have smoked.
This was, and remains, one of my favorite Queen songs. I love how it follows "Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon" on "A Night at the Opera", Freddies whimsical yet perfect vocals giving way to Rogers more raw sound. It's nice to hear that Roger can still belt this one out.
This is no more queen, however fans like me and all around the world would like to have the rest of them performing since no band has equal. Last friday they came to argentina were i live and i could finally enjoy the songs i love most and i waited most for. What really matters is the music al last, even if freddie is not there anymore.
I love his voice he can go pretty high. And you have to realize he's old now not like when he was recording "The Game" but his voice's still the same. Brian too
It's a shame that he's not doing his trademark fills that much enymore. In the old days he used to do them every 4 beats, now he just plays steady 4/4 beat. But the song still rocks!
Roger's trademark is hi hat open every two beats on the + of first beat. Listen to good-old fashioned lover boy and see how many times he opens his hi hat
Nobody can but we should appreciate he had the guts to take that place that no one else had don´t you think? he is not replacing freddie he is just participating
Rogers voice is quite good. What do you think of Paul Rogers? I try not to,well singing Queen songs- he does ok on his own songs pre-Queen. I saw a recent new Queen concert with Paul Rogers and they had Freddie in the background on a big screen TV singing with the band playing.. Guess nobody can still sing like Freddie.Paul didn't even try.
As a matter of fact Freddie was unique,no doubt about that. But he is not only amazing singer, the verythought he has millions of fans is not only maden from good singing. But Live performing, always full of energy, fantastic vocal range, melodic and strong voice, personality, emotional advents to every song made him great.Paul Rogers is just good singer and not good as Freddie of course."Kebabsvein".Yes only John Deacon didn't sing, but three of four members good singers. Is it something?
I have always loved this song by Roger. He puts alot of hard work into this song. Brian makes it sound like Roger is driving a sports car with the sound of his guitar. I just love it.
great version - he includes the last verse which he didn't do when I saw them in Cleveland in '81 - Roger's always been one of my favorite drummers and he tears it apart here
I just watched the music vid of this when he was still young and all and then I watched this he has the same voice after all these years nothing has changed!! (except they got older though) ROCK ON ROGER AND BRIAN!!!
I don't know if them knowing they don't offer an original QUEEN show they try to do even better or what, but I think they are playing better than ever;
sorry Freddie and John are not in this "revival project".
this song was doing my conker in i heard it on the telly and could not stop singing ...im in love with my car.....so thanx stilletos i can learn some more of the lyrics now.
roger has been an amazing drummer for all these years and in this video, roger has alot of energy to do all this! drumming and singing is not easy but roger can do it!
What a great band. These guys should hook up with X-Japan for a tour. Toshi could handle the vocals and Brian's style if guitar is almost tailor made for X's style of music. Yoshiki could handle the piano parts of both grps and they wouldn't have to play pre recorded music since roger can double on the drums. A match made in heaven.
Just saying that I think a joint tour between Queen and X-Japan would be a good thing, a really good thing, a legendary thing.
Nothing against PR, he's a true rock legend, but I think a tour with x-Japan would be even better. If you don't know who X-Japan is, check out their most recent videos "I.V" or "Rusty Nail". they're floating around here somewhere. And check out the video "foreign sands" with Toshi, Yoshiki and Roger Taylor.
Oh come on, Brian's style is so not tailor made for X, Brian is not a thrash metal guitarist. Altough he is one of the few who wouldn't be a disgrace to hide. I'd very much like to see them on a tour but not at the same time.
While I completely agree that May is not a "thrash metal" guitarist, he has certainly touched on nearly every style of playing during his career with Queen and I don't think there's anything of x's that he couldn't handle. I also wouldn't catagorise X as simply a thrash metal band either other than early on and even then they played a variety of styles.
... and funny to see those other 2 guys working their ass in the shadows, away from the spotlights, to back up and help the oldies with the orchestration :))
this song didn't involve Freddie so hearing it again now, live, is as good as ever!!!! it was intended this way right from the beginning so the queen spirit is right there... splendid performance!!
