I learned the majority of it as a child, started off learning in brownies/girl scouts and it just blossomed from there. We did pick up a kit for my hubby though by Dr. Garcia.
Thats the same as Kaiden- he has all teeth apart from second molars and i want to take him to the dentist cuz the jaundice caused his teeth to be yellow (that or the CMV) and i just want to have him checked to make sure they are ok and that the second set will be ok... Do you kno why they dont check before 2yrs?
No? They just said all they do is clean their teeth and show u how to brush them... so I think w/ that said they wait till after 2 years b/c thats the typical age a child starts to learn how to brush their own? I dunno though, thats a total guess
I read they dont start doing it properly until like 3-5 or something... Kaiden will try to do it himself but he chews on it instead of brushing side to side.
question...where did you get your signing chart? You said you have a chart that you mark off the days that she does each sign. My daughter just turned a year and we would love to get her started on signing!
NEVER buy maternity bra's... it's a TOTAL waste!!!!! Just buy nursing bra's, they expand for nursing so of course they work for maternity... ur breast will get 10xs the size they do during pregnancy when u nurse... so I promise they work great. I have my ultimate favorite that I wear so much it's ridiculous.... it's a medela nursing sleep bra but I wear it all the time, not just at night... it's the BEST and I've tried several. (at least the best, easiest for me)
I'll message you a link.... oh and u can get the same thing (not Medela though) at Target for 1/2 the price.. they aren't always in stock w/ them, so it might be a bit hard to come across or so my store is, but I always try there first. and they have them in nude, white, black.
Thank ya so much! I planned on ordering the medela pump on amazon. I can just go ahead and add one of the bras to it. We dont have a target around here. Hopefully they will have it online though. Thanks a bunch Lucy!
I learned most of it as a child, how ever a greater starter kit is available by Dr. Garcia for about 60 bucks at the book store. I picked it up for my hubby. He picked up QUICKLY!
Its never too early. They don't really remember things until around 6 months of age, but it's best you get into habit b4 hand so they pick it up quicker. The more they see it the quicker they learn it.
Thanks for sharing. You know, I think another reason why people assume Jace is older is because of Kacen. If you think about it, the average siblings three years apart. My mom used to get the same thing at stores because my sisters are just 17 months apart. Also, you ARE so knowledgeable about things, so I hesitate to say this. But be careful with soy milk. Especially if Jacelyn wants a sip of yours! I've seen a friend's daughter's growth stunt because of soy products. Just FYI, that's all!
what do you mean? I breasfed my daughter part time and mostly gave formula soy milk. Now that she is 15 months she just have 4 to 5 oz of soy milk a day. She is bigger that any kid of her age. She is 31 inches tall and 25 pounds. Did your friends daughter had soy products all the time or she also fed her animal protein.
We don't need to..And unless ur child is hearing impaired you don't really even NEED to know it, and even if your hearing impaired that doesn't mean u need to know sign then either.
We teach it as a 2nd language. I want well rounded children.
I LOVE sign language we also teach our 15 month daughter. It works just great for our communication but now that she is talking she is not signing as many signs as before...every month she will learn about 25 signs since she was 9 1/2 but she slowed down now to 10 signs per month. it is because she is talking now.I highly recommend signing time dvds. We learned signing from Rachel Coleman. You can get them at any library
I had same thing with Dentist and my son had all his teeth inc 2nd molars by 13 months... Hes weird but we all get teeth early in my family. Hes small for his age as is my daughter so ppl think hes 2 1/2 not 3 1/2 but its not a prob.
im so confused about the whole dentist thing. my sone is 7 months, he has 2 bottom teeth, and 2 top teeth. I have a finger gum cleaner and also a tooth brush for him, but am wondering should i use some sort of tooth paste or just water? sorry to bother you with my question but doctors here prefer you to figure it out for yourself.
Just water is fine. You can't use any toothpaste is fluoride in it but you can use some baby kind if you can find it. Just no fluoride. But my dr told me to just use water.
My niece is around Jace's age (19 mths) and my sister is worried she isn't interested in using cutlery AT ALL! Where some of her day care friends do - what's your daughter like? xxx
Jacelyn is 19 months old as of this week...She LOVES LOVE LOVES to use a spoon. If u don't give her 1 she will throw a HUGE temper tantrum. Forks she likes but she isn't too great w/ a fork, more of a mess than anything. She doesn't use knives. As for the kitchen she loves to use anything really. Bowls, plates, anything. I think it makes her feel like a big girl.
here (UK) you automatically get an appointment at 6 mnths which is really just to get told how to brush the teeth properly, then you dont go back untill they are 3 1/2 to 4 years. The children are seen at their pre school/ nursery and you get a follow up appoinment if needed. Obviously if you wanna go ahead an make your own apoinment just to make sure eveythings fine, or if they break a tooth, they'd obviously see you but they dont seem to check teeth till pre school age x
if she wants to do #2 i would think she is ready for #1 on the potty. my 2 oldest girls were potty traind before 2 years I just put them in big girl underwar and they did not like the feeling when they had peed in them so they learned not to fast lol. fyi dont use training pants. they feel just like a diaper to a child.. if ya have en ?tion just message me :)
2 different muscles, so some can be ready to control 1 & not the other. She is def. not ready for #1. We tried again today and ohhhh HUGE MESS! She almost busted her head open w/ the mess she made on the kitchen tile. Had to bathe her after that one.
She's so cute and amazing!!!! Could you please give more details about sign you have been raching her??? How early did she start...etc. Thank you! A video would be awesome! Congrats!
R u serious??? Most kids don't have teeth at 6 months, it's rare if they do. She said b4 the age of 2, all they will do is clean their teeth and show u how to brush them. She said if u clean their 2 like u SHOULD twice a day every day and u use common sense it isn't needed b4 the age of 2.
my god mothers grand daughter does sign language and she'll sign to me when she is around other people cause she is so shy...its so cute
