This band had it all. Musically they're powerful and build a song like this one to climatic points. I love Mark's putting himself out there vocally with tremendous passion. They've been in my top 3 since 1985.
Got this vid. Remember being really dissapointed with the sound quality. Not to mention Dave acting like a twat and that knobhead kwasi toasting over 'One Flesh' totally destroying a brilliant song. Dam dam shame.
I was at this gig too, unfortunately for whatever reason Swamp Thing was edited off the VHS release of this concert....grrrrr. Maybe technical recording error at start of gig who knows.
Seattle at the Showbox. 02 and 03 were weird because everyone came at once and then nothing. There was one week where I met, WIRE, Jazz and Geordie from Killing Joke and Todd A from Firewater. Then ZIP! BOREDOM!
They played "caution" at Middleton Civic Hall in 1986 when I saw them there. Or ws it 87? Definitely the Strange times tour anyway. Bird had a ponytail to tidy up his long hair and I chucked a beermat at Dave Fielding.

I am in shock. I read years ago when I first started listening to them that the lead singer had committed suicide WTF!?

@laendeavor "...the lead singer had committed suicide WTF!?"
You aren't confusing this band with Joy Division are you?

I can only think they weren`t playing live too many times towards the end of the band.

When I saw them live they left this one out of the set. Now I feel ripped off, this song is incredible live! Thanks for the posting!

Agree. The tempo changes are superb here and Mark sings even more passionate at the end of the song.Terrific drumming, too.
Thanks for posting.
