Well back then, there was only one zombie model. By Resident Evil 2, they had more models since it was newer, and by 3, they even added women zombies.

I've decided that having helmet key to the kitchen, armor key to the bathroom, ruby key to the living room, dia.. well, you know, just like in your house... was a bit too time consuming in case of a zombie attack.
