Sneak peek of ReBoot movie Guardian?

I think there actually MIGHT be movies coming out, but the way Rainmaker handles it, it'll either be re-imagined crap, or nothing.

Seeing as a vast majority of people have a big problem with change, in any area of life, there's little hope that any future movies would be satisfying for people who used to watch the show, unless it's really a LOT better than the original; which is doubtful. And so, we have to wonder if a plan to gather "new fans" would be worth it; why else invest in anything?...

everyone needs to chill out. this isnt a reboot movie nor will there be one. i have been waiting for a movie since 2002. its 2012 now and still there has been no progress. i loved the show as a kid and i still love it. but the fact is that it will never happen. sorry to burst your bubbles but you need to snap into reality. there is no need for false hopes.

@zeldamania1221 The trilogy idea was scrapped a few years ago. With the change up in "higher-ups" in Rainmaker, currently no fan has any information (because RME has not produced any) on what was, is, or isn't happening with ReBoot and Rainmaker.

Also, let's not forget about Mainframe's sister city in the Reboot series. This guardian could be from the sister city and the story could be in that setting.

This looks more like Bob's relative son/father living in the Super Computer LMAO It could be like the new story liner for the Super Computer Chronicles. I see a great deal of potential in it, but it has to be done properly. Querky computer Jokes, and Bad ass action takes. Maybe like at the end before he dies or something if it ever happens in the plot he tells his wife to name their future son BOB. Either that or he's the son of legendary Bob.

@staqz2high Its real Staqz2high rainmaker announced they would be making at least 3 movies on the reboot official web site. There is even a web comic they did to tie up the loose end left by the cliff hanger.

@makutateridax200 Yes, they recently changed some things around on their website and this particular link to the studio page no longer works and the movie which contained this clip has been removed.

rainmaker -dot- com/?/site/studio is the new link.

As for the IMDB 2010 page, nobody ever knew if that was official, and certainly Rainmaker never commented on how legit it was or wasn't.

The original creater of Reboot (as well as the original cast) are apperantly not having annything to do with the movie. So my guess is that rainmaker will either make it a whole new thing, hopeing for new fans, or they are going to fail and piss off myself and alot of other fans.

Film trilogy will be either a whole restart with all new cast or weave in the original cast with new characters. Hope it's the second, thus Megabyte can return+show degrading process without guardian code. Could this lead to new form+explain new voice actor? Hoping! Cos at least it won't anger fans over a replacement voice actor.

My bet on the trilogy movies, is that it's either: a continuation from Season 4 with new characters perspective in another system that weave the original characters into the story or it's a complete restart, thus new viruses, new heroes, a whole new cast with only basic similarities to the original show.

Although Megabyte's voice actor is dead, they can still have the character in without fans hating the new voice actor. Megabyte no longer has guardian code, thus he is still degrading=new form?

@SMPvids @SMPvids It's possible... but at the moment it's really anyone's guess. Rainmaker has said it'll be a "retelling" of the adventures of Bob, Dot, and Enzo (probably no Season 2, 3, or 4 character), that will draw in new fans and keep old ones. But Rainmaker really needs to get some type of advertising about ReBoot out, there are still TONS of people who don't know what's going on, and many that do know, only know because of sites like ReBoot Revival.

I dont think this is Bob...On the side it says Loading Gaurdian and Version 1.0 ... if it was it would say "Loading Bob". Rainmaker's probably just trying out to see what a character would/could look like in this animation style. ( That's probably why it says Version 1.0 ... So there's bound to be some upgrading and fixing in this design!) Personally, i'm thrilled to see that some progress is bieng made! :)

I hope it is not Bob. If it is, someone had best re-watch the show and remember that one of his iconic traits was his dreads.

On the other hand, though, it is incredibly pretty to look at, even if it is different. I'm on wary stance so far, but I'm fully expecting it to be completely different from the original series.

I'm pretty sure it's not Bob. But was bothers me is how some people are suddenly giving up hope after seeing a clip like this!? People should have expected a vast improvement on the shows animation since the past 9 years. Watching the last two movies "Daemon Rising & My Two Bobs" you can notice that the animation was much more advanced and realistic than in previous seasons, and that was in 2001! You had to expect that the series's visual effects were going to improve.

Improvement on the animation, yes. But I was partial to whoever was in charge of Mainframe's character designs back in the day.

Now, understandably, those people are long, long gone. But that character design just doesn't come off as terribly appealing to me.

That said, I'm sure it'll do well enough with audiences.

Although I will say, it's the story I'm worried about more than anything. When I spoke to a Rainmaker rep back at NYCC...2008, I think it was, when Gavin was there, I told him I wouldn't care if it was a reboot (heh), as long as it had the great writing I'd come to expect from Mainframe's golden years.

Hopefully rainmaker/mainframe will get the old writers and composers back, everyone remembers "FireWall" for god sake.
