The above typist can just stop! You appear to be a 1 sided, with a 1 track mind. Where is the notion that people should, and let live? Every1 is not alike. They also don't think alike, and it's totally unfair to this lady, or any1, to b Blittled bcause she has a different agenda than u. U appear to either be a YOUNG person, just arriving at the big boy, or girl table, or an OLD coot that hates everybody, no matter what they say. All I gather is that you r a very mean, and immature.
@boxers7x5 (I really hate saying this and it goes against my liberal nature but:) "Did someone with a big wang poke her too deep?" it needed be said LOL
Frank was right! That second comment about undereducated was right! Then Fox goes and holds her up like a hero? For not having a fucking clue? If this is typical America.....let it go down. I know how to hunt and fish. Let's see Hannity and GOP bootlickers make it longer than a month without a grocery store.
national health care is cheaper no premiums to pay everybody is covered even if your not paying taxes no rejections wouldn't this help people on a low income budget wake Americans the rest of the world thinks your idiots for not getting when you have the chance
Except that all the biggest discoveries of the modern age are taxpayer funded, government researched, then handed over to the private sector to charge the tax payers again for usage. The internet, computers was state funded, researched then given to the private sector. Nuclear power and the benefits of satellite and space exploration that the taxpayer funded will be next. In history it's been the same pattern from railroads, water to electricity supply. Unfortunate but true.
Republicans point fingers at the Democrats when anything goes wrong.
When the Republicans are at fault their answer is: "now's not the time to be pointing fingers. What we need to do is work together to solve these issues."
@auralstream Really? look at history, Dems and the left wing is THE PARTY of pointing fingers, thats all they do, because they don't do ANYTHING that keeps the basis of the constitution and what this country was founded for. Republicans at least try to do the right thing, and don't get me wrong Bush sucked, mccain would have been just as bad as Obama. Because they were both progressives. Not conservatives.
@Dixiedude66 I've never been to one of their rallies even though i support what they stand for. And blind huh? Read all the founding documents and read them again until you understand them. And maybe you might learn something and come up with a conjecture to my statement instead of just jumping to insults. People like you is the reason why this country has gone to shit. Get informed and actually come up with points unlike every other libtard.
btw i didnt even watch the video entirely, i got like 20 seconds in and i see brown from LPAC and I realized the author is a fucking ponce with no sense of geopolitics or history
Hannity you dumb motherfucker. Socialism is when workers council's control the means of production, instead of a private dictator, such as a landowner, banker or C.E.O. Obama is a state capitalist.
ughh please dont compare anything to nazis unless ur talking about the nazis. obama never killed millions of people so dont compare anything to nazis and be more articulate because u sound like a dumb ass if you do
lol I love it when those racist, greedy, close-minded, selfish, retarded republicans get called off. they are the reason for all the fucking big business pollution on this planet. god damn conservatives can all die off!
@nuclearmaster2 You goddamn leftists are racist and greedy. You support Tawana Brawley, Crystal Mangum, quota systems, affirmative action, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton. You also support Hollyweirdos who make $20 million per movie and it's proven that liberals are less generous. You Democrats are also close-minded and selfish. Why don't you die off?
Abrams makes not a single supported point, which proves the assertion that she's undereducated. Photoshopping Obama to look like Hitler is the best she can do, yet she gets air time on Fox. Fox "News" should be ashamed of the pandering to ignorance and hate she represents. Her summary of Pelosi as "ridiculous," is really a self-description. She's a bubblehead.
i CANT BELIEVE the insanity of hannity! stop the maddness! how can anyone watch this shit and think this is a fair and balanced interview!!!! FUUUUUUUUCK
Jesus H Christ, When the scum that run the health insurance business see these morons defend that industry they must be thanking the money Gods for the ignorance of a rather large portion of the American population. Our health service is one of the WORST of all industrialised nations. Apparently having a decent national health service like Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany, Denmark, Holland, Finland,Austria, Switzerland etc is going to take away our freedom. LOL What morons.
@dellboy99 LOL THE WORST? it actually isnt. despite allt he suffrings in US. The other countries have it waay worse. u prolly have the second best healthcare next to canada and the other countries that provide them for free ( also note free healthcare doesnt mean free everything)
how is it America is the only modern industrialized nation on the earth that doesnt have decent healthcare? Why do republicans think government = communism?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Damn...a few years bak ppl wer so happy with the stimulus package...nw finally theyr realizing it wz all a scam..the revolution is upon is..vote ron paul!!!
@thedudewithbeef i jst fnd it rly annyng whn ppl typ lk ths..call me crzy (joke intended), but its not that hard to just type out the whole word, especially when its less than 5 letters. just a pet peeve of mine, nothing personal.
I found that the increased healthcare spending by government is because more people are becoming poor and poorer in america because of less regulations and evil rich and corporations so more people want government healthcare.thats why spending is increased and these teaparty zombies are crying now.the teaparty zombies are the reason healthcare spending gone up.
I oppose gay marriage,abortion and having sex with more than onepartner and having sex before marriage.but i also oppose taxcuts,less government,less regulations.racism,elimination of departments like energy and social security,reduce millitary spending,
Sean Hannity"The government is taking over our banks". Hey Sean---the Banks OWN the government. No wonder our country is so fucked with this kind of propaganda being spewed out day after day.
@JOHNINCOLUMBUS Boycott the sponsors and send letter telling them they're traitors to America. See how long they stay. (Damn. Should have shut Fox down when they still had Beck - but Fanity will do.)
@dan91709 - I see where Steve Jobs told Murdock in a meeting they had, not long before Jobs died, that he thought FOX was helping in the destruction of America.
When enough people get pissed enough, then things will happen, right now, they are too complacent. Personally I am over this political bullshit, I feel my vote is worth nothing, I'm seriously thinking of not voting anymore, at all, for any of them, they all suck, they are parasites, I don't trust the election process either, i.e. Bush.
@dan91709 - Unfortunately I live in Ohio, we have shithead Kasich for Governor, he's a Wall Street parasite, he only wants what's best for him and his WASP family...he's a prick, we are in the process of having him RECALLED...then lynched. When Bush Jr. took the White House, literally, Ohio was one of the States who's election was fraudulent, right along with FL, Jr.'s brother's State...I hate them all. America is FUCKED!
What's ironic is 'freedom' relies on a solid backdrop of provided services, laws & regulations. The freedom from having to search for water, to drive on safe roads, to be protected by police & law courts, to be educated - all provided by the communal ethic. In the future our greatest challenges will have to be faced by collectivity. Health care is a human right. Leave these things to 'the profit motive' and the glue of society comes apart = the fragmented america divided by class, rich & poor.
@Freidlon7 Man, you are so diluted, Freedom from having to search for water???? I think what you meant to say is Freedom relies on the absence of an over bearing government, and Healthcare is far from a human right, The government has destroyed the free market that's why healthcare is fucked....You really need to look beyond the rhetoric.. I know is hard for you to understand free market principles, but that is because they have not existed in our lifetime....
@bigbag70 THE GOVERNMENT RUINED THE MARKETS? LMFAO. No one but those precious job creators RUINED the market. They're not suffering though, their paychecks are steadily rising every year. They make 400x more than the average worker, and still want more!! The medical infrastructure is broken because pharmaceutical companies want nothing more than to profit off human misery. This is heinous and contradictory to our nation's fundamental principles.
@erik4727 Why does someone's paycheck bother you? It's the government taking it away from you when you earn too much. If you weren't a lazy bastard and earned your money through capitalism, you'll finally realize why Capitalism is the greatest. Our founding fathers got away from Britain and beat them in the revolutionary war to gain independence from socialism. This country will always be capitalist, so just go back to getting stoned out of your mind, loser.
@gamefreak1000000 It doesn't. And I don't get my money from the government, dipshit. And I'm not a lazy bastard, I've worked my ass off to get where I am today. What I won't stand for are HYPOCRITE conservatives and their destructive policies that only aim to point the finger at someone else and is only in the interest in the top .1% I believe in Capitalism, I don't believe in Corporatism. You're a pseudo patriot whose ass is so far up Beck's ass REASON doesn't make sense.
If you knew anything about Beck, you'd know that HE is far more opposed to corporatism than you are. And corporatism is the primary thing the Tea Party opposes.
No, since you bring up the "1%" rhetoric, I can see that you're another Statist who does not understand the basic principles of economics, nor do you understand what "corporatism" actually means.
But if you do, you'll know that Obama is the biggest corporatist out there.
@UncleIrv Obama? Who the fuck said anything about Obama? I've been as critical of Obama and his cabinet just as I have been any other right wing FUCK out there. Left-Wing statism does not exist. Please, do both of us a favor and research Left-Libertarianism. For the LOVE OF GOD.
Wow. Left wing statism does not exist? Are you aware that the term "statism" was coined specifically to describe the major portion of mainstream leftism?
So far we've determined that you do not know what the word "corporatist" means, and you do not know what the word "statist" means. Yet you use these words in sentences.
Sorry kid, you're in way over your head. Come back when your knowledge can cash the checks your cockiness is writing.
@UncleIrv I'm sorry but calling me wrong and putting in your fingers in your ears doesn't make you right. It makes you seem like a pompous asswipe who, instead of taking 2 seconds to study the topic he's discussing, would rather PRETEND like he knows and hope no one blows his cover.
From Merriam-Webster: "Statism = concentration of economic controls and planning in the hands of a highly centralized government often extending to government ownership of industry"
That describes an ideology of the LEFT WING as defined within the American paradigm.
This is even true in the EUROPEAN paradigm (where left/right terminology originated in the French Revolution) as observed by Edmund Burke.
Both HISTORY and POLY SCIENCE judge that you are full of shit.
@UncleIrv YOU DUMB FUCK IF IT'S A GOVERNMENT BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE THE POWER IS NOT CONCENTRATED ANYWHERE. You can't have worker's right in a country governed centrally. By YOUR standard, the United States is more left-wing than Russia. What you just stated point blank was the true conservative agenda, who claim to be for "less government" yet don't mind pushing their twisted views on our personal lives via legal channels.
Wow. In your own mind you know better than Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Edmund Burke, F.A. Hayek, Russell Kirk, Milton Friedman, and the entire economics faculty of several major universities.
There's a name for people like you. They're called NUT CASES. You should really paint your opinions all over your car and drive around with a megaphone.
You're right. These facts are "easily verifiable."
I VERIFIED THEM BY QUOTING THE DEFINITION OF "STATISM" FROM THE MERRIAM WEBSTER'S DICTIONARY.....YOU STUPID RAVING NUTCASE.
I also named several historically significant economists and historians who support my statement of a simple fact which is UNIVERSALLY UNCONTESTED BY SANE PEOPLE EVERYWHERE.
Face it: The only place you are considered sane is in the rainbow unicorn world within your psychotic mind.
@UncleIrv@UncleIrv Milton Friedman? Of all the people in the world you cite that right-wing HACK? Seems to me you've got more problems than one, how about you take some time off the "interwebz," read a book or two, come back, and try not to overwhelm yourself with your stupidity.
Yes, US is more left-wing than Russia. Yes, small government can manage country via legal channels. I am from Georgia. Our government became small since 2003, and country is doing better than before.
I am confused. As far as I know in American politics conservaties want smaller government. Practice demonstrated that there is less corruption when government is small. it is easy to track every person's responsibility in civil service. Look what's going on in Greece. The country is destroyed because of a big government, corruption, unions, too many social services. Many Greeks left the country, and if Germans had ignored Greece's problems, they would starve to death.
@KingdomofGeorgia1 Greece isn't in dire straights because of a big government, rather the LACK of government regulation and discipline amongst its most privilege. You'll find in Greece, more than any other place in the world right now, they are descending quickly into a rightist dystopia. They aren't revolting because they're being "coddled by the government" That's another right wing BULLSHIT conspiracy. Speak to a Greek yourself.
@erik4727 Its not about right and left. Economies are tested. Big governments, unions, and inefficiencies leading nations to bankruptcy. What do you want to regulate? businesses? Come on… Gov. does not know how to run business and production. Gov. can't sell and export decrees:-) In Greece when a man gets gov. job, he goes to work, hangs his jacket on the chair, and does not turn up for one week, while hard working German taxpayers take care of Greek bureaucracy.
@KingdomofGeorgia1 You seem to know more about this then I do, why don't you tell me whether we've been experiencing a decrease or increase in government intervention over the past 10 years.
Think: Tea Party Congress, Glass-Steagall, Tax Cuts, Rampant Corporate hegemony.
Oh, and this has is only tangentially related but: FUCK Germany, they got rich off the US's back, instead of us donating our money to our Southern Neighbors we help Nazis. We are nazi-enablers. We are nazis.
@erik4727 Oh boy this is a lot of question to write in this small window. Only Glass-Steagall history is so long hard to say everything here. Depends on problems and reasons. I would say there is more gov. intervention in the past 3 years. I don't want to have misunderstandings since many ppl call everything regulation. I would say consumer protection is governments responsibility, but not intervention in business. Therefore, I do not support bailout. Let businesses manage themselves.
@KingdomofGeorgia1 alright then,we can both agree poor people didnt create the problem,why is it socially acceptable to blame those who weren't the perpetrators but the victims of greedy corporate conniving?Why arent you instead speaking out against them? For a nation that put a man on the moon,sure doesnt place a whole lot of importance on who leads the country.
Let's get one thing straight:Rich Corporations aren't in place to create jobs,
That's true. Corp. save money. They working for investors. If Corp. do not do well then investors will sell stocks, and will not be able to finance for expeses(also value of stock goes down). How do you want to manage? If you are good in accounting or investor you can check out comp. statements. Nowdays many corp. do not have money. There are only few comp have cash. They say they can't find skilled ppl, and I beleive it. There are many jobs out there. Depends on what you
@KingdomofGeorgia1 How do YOU measure success? Is it how much money is concentrated, hemorrhaged, at the top, or is it the quality of life from every point of the spectrum? Corporations aren't helpful by their very nature,they got that money not by handing out jobs but by retaining their profits.That's what made them rich in the first place. I wish more people would notice this, and instead of blaming the kid on the street corner, finally realize where their problems come from
In America more than 90% of businesses are small and service style business. Even small businesses are greedy:-) You and I can't do anything about corporations. Whoever gets corporate level jobs God bless them. We can't blame rich for everything. They have good head on their shoulders. That's true, many rich people worked hard and got rewarded. How do I measure success? Get good education, work, save money for retirement, have kids(if you want to), house, travel once a year.
@KingdomofGeorgia1 it's getting tougher on everyone, and there ARE obviously jobs out there somewhere, there just has to be in a sea of over 300m people, some positions are bound to open to someone. The problem is marketing these jobs, gone are the days of living comfortably and purposefully on a factory worker's salary and in are the days of ruthless high-tech competition. Don't blame me for that, i wasnt even around for the transformation
We are on the same boat. I graduated from 4 diffrent schools, and I can't find a doorman's position. My situaltion is diffrent. I came in America 22 years ago. I was not young enough to build my career. I am planning to go back to my old country and help them. I am not sure your position, but there are many jobs. What are you looking for?
Some managers say they can't find people. I visited companies sites and I could not beleive... jobs, jobs, jobs are open.
Well managed business survives during the recession (recession is economic circle, we can’t stop it, but at least to try to lower taxes for spending by businesses and consumer). The best example: VW, Nissan, Honda, BMW survived without gov. intervention, while GM received taxpayers money. GM will have problems again. Corporations are people. They have money from investors through IRA, mutual funds, or individual investors. They create jobs–of course not for everybody.
@KingdomofGeorgia1 they're set in place to generate profits. They're not deities, they're not one to look up to as moral agents, they're big, greedy, multinational bloodsuckers who got rich BY destroying jobs and minimizing costs.....at ALL costs. Even if it means enslaving kids in developing countries. What they should be doing instead is enforcing a GLOBAL living wage, and enforce it through the geneva convention.
II Cont... Not every college grad. can have corp. level job. That's imposible. From my point of view I see other problems: 1. Some college majors are not marketable today(political science, liberal arts, etc.)& oversupplied with lawyers & managers. 2.Todays world is changing. There is competition between nations. Nations are trying to lower corp. tax to attract companies. Therefore corp. look for communities with least expesive corp.taxes. US corp tax 35% + state tax + (unions).
III cont... 3. In many developing and undeveloped countries do not have proper labor laws. So ppl want jobs. They beg companies to hire their family members, and they work. Basicly it benefits host countrys GDP, local labors, companies, & consumers. To create global living wage is impossible since every nations currency has different value from each other. If I pay a cab driver $50 from my home to airport, in Brazil I have to pay 25 Real for the same distance. We need right career
@KingdomofGeorgia1 Average rate of pay in those countries isn't that high, especially for corporations dominated by Americans. If corporations want to send jobs over there, I guess through my personal law of impartiality, that is totally fine. but they don't have the common decency to pay them a wage they can live off of. That's what I am strongly against, short-changing your employees while reaping massive profits, repeat the process and blame other people.
Like I said, they would not. Usually, value of curences in developing and undeveloped countries are much lower than in developed countries. Example, a good economy inflates currency(no more than 2% when economy is good. But keep in mind there are other types of inflations like cost-push inflation, demand-cost inflation, hyper inflation). As time goes by companies pay more money based on inlfation. Unfortunatly, China is manipulating its currency. Keeping it cheaper. Cheaters
@KingdomofGeorgia1 that seems to be the only platform conservatives want to run on, and it just pisses me off. Im an intolerant liberal, and what of it? Corporations have great power, but they should also have the wisdom and discipline to exercise that power in ethical ways. It is immoral to say they SHOULD have the right to treat their employees any way they want. But i guess that depends on your moral.
That's true. Some companies have lost ethics and social responsibility. Sometimes, its not corporations, but some hiring managers do stupid things. They make wrong judgements. I am not saying conservatives are always right, but sometimes they are right too.
@UncleIrv Maybe you slept through history, but you see that a lot more often in RIGHT WING dictatorships (Hitler, Franco, and Mussolini being three great examples).
Hitler, Franco and Mussolini were not "RIGHT WING" in the way you mean it. Fascism was a branch of SOCIALISM.
And before you go off ranting... I'm speaking from documented history. Before the Spanish Civil War (when the Fascist movement coagulated) it was universally understood to have evolved from Socialism.
It was SOVIET PROPAGANDA that planted the meme that denied the Socialist roots of Fascism. Fascists were completely Socialistic in their economic policies.
@UncleIrv: Actually, the whole Fascist system of government reviled socialism and social democracy, along with Liberalism and Conservatism. Plus, though their economic policies appeared to be in most ways anti-capitalist, they were actually more anti-modernist. Add in the obsession with plots against the state, the purity of racial stock, and a reverence for military action, and you get a monstrous entity which is capable of acts like ethnic cleansing.
The Fascists did not "revile Socialism." They were A FORM OF Socialism. Mussolini was a full-blown Socialist who split the party on the issue of Nationalism.
They were not "anti-modernist" either. Philosophically they were quintessentially modernist (materialist, atheist).
And the racial element didn't enter until the Nazis co-opted the eugenics championed by American Progressives such as Woodrow Wilson.
@UncleIrv, ok, I concede defeat on some level. What I meant was that while there were socialist elements in the Fascist ideology, like collective ownership of the means of production, Fascism mutated them to the point where anything that may have been a throwback to socialism was not recognizable. But, I am an uneducated fool, so I will admit when I am wrong.
I appreciate your humility and willingness not to speak beyond what you know.
Yes, you are correct that Fascism differs from the Socialism from which it historically evolved (an undeniable fact). And it does incorporate elements of Capitalism (but not free markets).
But more significantly, Fascism is STATIST. That is what makes it LEFTIST in the American paradigm.
It was Soviet propaganda that cultivated the notion that fascism is "right wing."
@UncleIrv You do realize that Mussolini, the man who invented Fascism, blatantly pointed out that it was created "To oppose Marxian Socialism" in the first paragraph of his manifesto right? The American Left/Right paradigm is complete nonsense.
@BaboonJihad-see, that is what I was trying to get at with my comment, but I got blindsided and had to look things up...alas, politics is a murky pond in an otherwise clear world...
@UncleIrv The roots of fascism are tied so close to christianity and the christian churches that among historians the term "clerical fascism" has been established, and that is what makes fascism right wing. Also you forget the basic key to the left-right system: left-wing is progressive, right-wing is conservative, so as long as you can't explain why you suppose that fascism is more progressive than conservative, just be quiet.
Unless you can employ better "logic" YOU be quiet.
"Clerical Fascism" refers to CATHOLIC statism. Catholic statism was an invention of Rome. It has NO BASIS in textual Christianity. In fact Evangelicals were MURDERED by the Catholic Church for opposing this doctrine. So don't paint us with it!
And recognize your EQUIVOCATION: "Right" may indeed denote "conservative"--but conserving WHAT? In the US paradigm it means only conserving the founding principles. We never had kings.
@UncleIrv Your oppinion about what's right-wing or left-wing is pretty skewed, By your "logic" the (commonly attributed to the right-wing) christnuts are in fact left-wing, because they want to get rid of parts of the US-constitution and the founding principles? You might even call them progressive, because they want to progress into a completely new dark age...
Christians want to "get rid of parts of the US Constitution and founding principles"? You are fricken nuts. NAME ONE founding principle or Constitutional doctrine Christians want to "get rid of."
Evangelicals do not want to get rid of Separation of Church and State. That's ridiculous! Evangelicals were a large part of the Constitutional Convention that CODIFIED this doctrine into the Constitution.
In fact, the phrase itself comes from a letter from Jefferson to a group of Baptists, in which he REASSURES them the "wall of separation" is safe (to their grateful relief). "Separation of Church and State" is a Baptist doctrine. It's written into their statement of faith.
@UncleIrv Now you are confusing past and present. In the present, evangelical "think" tanks worked out ways to get the biblical creation myth into biology class and different other tactics (cf. "The Wedge Paper") to "tear down that wall" of Jefferson's.
The "wedge paper" had nothing to do with "biblical creationism," you ignoramus. It gets tedious correcting the constant barrage of bullshit from you idiots who don't understand the concept of CHECKING YOUR FACTS before arguing.
I'll let you prove YOURSELF how ignorant you are. You could go to any random website of a mainline Baptist Church and look up their "Statement of Faith" and see that they embrace Separation of Church and State. Yet I predict that YOU WON'T BOTHER.
I just realized you are a druggie THELEMITE---hahahahaha!!!
YOU PRACTICE WITCHCRAFT AND WORSHIP ALEISTER CROWLEY and yet you actually have the nerve to think that you should be taken seriously!!!
Go blow your ass up like John Whiteside Parsons! You're nothing but a drug-addled cultist like his old roommate L. Ron Hubbard. You are all dirty lying swine.
I will laugh heartily as I ignore anything you write from this point forward. :-D
@UncleIrv So you keep on playing the shell game of denominations. Thereby you just provide cover for those christians that try to get rid of the standards of civilisation movements like the movements of enlightment or the protests of 1968 fought for. Standards you benefit from, but christian churches condemned them from day one.
@UncleIrv The wedge document clearly defines as it's goals (p. 4) to replace materialistic explanations with the "theistic understanding" that everything was "created" by "god" and mentions "intelligent design", which is the replacement for the term "creationism". But, well, you made clear that you neither like facts nor reality when you stopped arguing and started to go ad hominem - thereby only proving my original argument. You are a great example for how christianity corrupts people.
How come you say Christianity corrupts people? Did Jesus teach us corruption? Maybe people abuse system.. I have been Christian all my life and never been corrupted.
1.: Cuz I see the discrepancy between what christians say and what they do.
2.: Yes (cf. Mat. 10:34, Lk. 12:26, Lk. 19:27, John 15:13+14, just to give you some hints to what Jesus taught, in contrast to what priests make their flock believe).
Indeed people (called "priests") abuse the faith of those dumb enough to believe them. You can't see what a system of faith does to you until you take a look from outside of the system.
Yes, I agree many priests abuse system for centuries, those priests are not my Gods. They are losers. But we also do good deeds for society. Some of them volunteer in dangerous places on the planet. Risking their lives.
@KingdomofGeorgia1 Do people need a "god" or promises of salvation (from what? The threats of hell and eternal damnation are tales those priests came up with) to do good? I'm afraid of those people that need such things. Better are people that act out of understanding, empathy and reason. Look at the horrible things that were done in the name of Jesus, they were based on what's written in the bible. So keeping the bible means to carry the seed for such deeds into the future.
The "roots of fascism" had nothing to do with Christianity whatsoever. A ridiculous statement like that could only come from someone who has never studied the history of fascism.
Fascism had its roots in SOCIALISM. Mussolini was a Bolshevik until, just like the Frankfurt School Marxists, he recognized the problems with orthodox Marxism. So he refuted the "internationalist" portion of Marxism to exploit the nationalist tendencies of Europe. This is what became Fascism.
@UncleIrv The roots of fascism had everything to do with christianity, expecially it's catholic flavor. You can see that throughout the centuries, when christians where bound together by their faith to fight an enemy the church made up: jews, muslims, gnostics, witches, christians of another denomination, and so on. Fascism is the christian (monotheist) reply to democracy (←invented by polytheists) when it became inevitable. But you might need to study religions to understand that...
LOL. Been there, done that. I've studied comparative religion and church history for 15 years.
The problem is, you are confusing CATHOLICISM with CHRISTIANITY. The Roman church began departing from textually-supported doctrines in the 4th century. Why do you suppose they hunted down and killed evangelicals like myself who dared to point out their errors?
Biblical Christians join you in condemning these very teachings which you rightly condemn.
@UncleIrv Protestants and evangelicals are not better than the orthodox or catholic churches. You know the "killing infidel" business Luther (antisemite), Calvin (most perverted bible interpretation) and the other "reformers" (over 1500 years after Christ they started a reformation, speaks for itself...) did, and that the witch-hunt was not a catholic thing but a "sport" by all christians to prove who the "real" christians are. And since evangelical christians still do it they think they've won.
"Protestants" and "evangelicals" are not the same thing. Many Protestants continued to embrace Catholic STATISM even though they rejected other errors. Yes, Calvin and Luther are guilty of this. All that proves is that the STATIST errors of Catholicism had far-reaching negative influence.
Evangelicals DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THESE DOCTRINES, but in fact CONDEMN THEM. This is why they embrace separation of church and state, which was ALWAYS a doctrine of textual Christianity.
@UncleIrv LOL! "Divide" (moves hand down) "et impera!" (moves hand from right to left). I love it how christians try to hide between the 35.000+ flavors of christianity, always with the same mantram: "They all ain't no right christians, it's only we who's the real deal!" Even more ridiculous is this idea that after 1100 years of "departing" catholicism, based only on catholicism some folks started a reformation and use that to pretend they have restored something.
Don't put words in my mouth. You are well versed in straw men. Too bad you're allergic to facts.
Evangelical doctrine totally rejects any notion that any single sect is the "Only Real Christians." That's another rejected error from Catholic doctrine.
How are you anything more than an ignorant hate-mongering bigot? You seem to have no conscience whether the "facts" you pull out of your ass have any accuracy whatsoever. You have a lot in common with a guy named Goebbels.
@UncleIrv Yes, you obviously run out of "arguments". The bible of evangelical christians is the most crippled version around (only 66 books left from the 76+ originally included), and the idea that on the basis of a form of christianity deemed corrupted (catholicism) a reformation could take place, ignoring the gap of over 1100 years, is the epitome of ignorance. And you defend that... speaks volumes....
@UncleIrv Then why haven't I ever seen the Tea Party protesting on Wall Street, or turning down the CORPORATE support from the Koch Brothers and Fox News?
Because Wall Street is not the problem. Do you want to DO AWAY with the entire finance industry?
The problem is CORPORATISM-aka-STATISM: Corrupt government INVOLVEMENT in Wall Street, which circumvents market principles and throws the economy into ruin while the "old boy" network gets rich.
Your understanding of these principles is unsophisticated. Corporatism has NOTHING TO DO WITH involvement in legitimate political activism. That's a 1st Amendment issue.
@bigbag70 What you are ultimately suggesting is that we have total free market - that is privatised police force (protecting who?) a private army (killing on behalf of coca cola?), schools (only the rich educated and the poor fall deeper into poverty slavery), jails (get paid by the longevity of sentence = you get 10 years for double parking) etc Whether you like it or no you live in SOCIETY who's quality depends on provisions. Egalitarian country fair better than unequal, FACT.
no, infrastructure is civilization and civilization promotes freedom
freedom is the right to be left alone
thats classic, freedom defined as the absence of want, thats a perfect material oversimplification and it suits the entire philosophy of modernism perfectly - as in this case the ends justify the means completely.
@Freidlon7 NO what's ironic is these services depend on a healthy market. Money for these services didn't grow on trees. And what matters is how free is the market to function and how free are entrepreneurs to create jobs and wealth. Try again.
@H1TMANactual What you are ultimately suggesting is that we have total free market - that is privatised police force (protecting who?) a private army (killing for coca cola?), schools (only rich educated and poor fall deeper into poverty slavery), jails (get paid by the longevity of sentence = 10 years for double parking) etc Should a person/corp be 'free' to exploit other human beings, the environment? Swede CEO earns 13 times average worker in company. In US 450 times. Fair?
@H1TExcept that all the biggest discoveries of the modern age are taxpayer funded, government researched, then handed over to the private sector to charge the tax payers again for usage.

Freidlon7 4 months ago 15
@Freidlon7 Man, you are so diluted, Freedom from having to search for water???? I think what you meant to say is Freedom relies on the absence of an over bearing government, and Healthcare is far from a human right, The government has destroyed the free market that's why healthcare is fucked....You really need to look beyond the rhetoric.. I know is hard for you to understand free market principles, but that is because they have not existed in our lifetime....
bigbag70 2 months ago
@bigbag70 THE GOVERNMENT RUINED THE MARKETS? LMFAO. No one but those precious job creators RUINED the market. They're not suffering though, their paychecks are steadily rising every year. They make 400x more than the average worker, and still want more!! The medical infrastructure is broken because pharmaceutical companies want nothing more than to profit off human misery. This is heinous and contradictory to our nation's fundamental principles.
erik4727 2 months ago 2
@erik4727 Why does someone's paycheck bother you? It's the government taking it away from you when you earn too much. If you weren't a lazy bastard and earned your money through capitalism, you'll finally realize why Capitalism is the greatest. Our founding fathers got away from Britain and beat them in the revolutionary war to gain independence from socialism. This country will always be capitalist, so just go back to getting stoned out of your mind, loser.
gamefreak1000000 2 months ago
@gamefreak1000000 It doesn't. And I don't get my money from the government, dipshit. And I'm not a lazy bastard, I've worked my ass off to get where I am today. You're a pseudo patriot whose ass is so far up Beck's ass REASON doesn't make sense.
erik4727 2 months ago 12
@erik4727
But if you do, you'll know that Obama is the biggest corporatist out there.

erik4727 1 month ago
@erik4727

Left-wing statism is a CONTRADICTION.
erik4727 1 month ago 2
@erik4727
UncleIrv 1 month ago
@UncleIrv YOU DUMB FUCK IF IT'S A GOVERNMENT BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE THE POWER IS NOT CONCENTRATED ANYWHERE. You can't have worker's right in a country governed centrally. By YOUR standard, the United States is more left-wing than Russia. What you just stated point blank was the true conservative agenda, who claim to be for "less government" yet don't mind pushing their twisted views on our personal lives via legal channels.

Yes, US is more left-wing than Russia. Yes, small government can manage country via legal channels. I am from Georgia. Our government became small since 2003, and country is doing better than before.
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
@KingdomofGeorgia1 Too bad conservatives really want big government, and liberals the other way around. Kinda ruins your logic there, doesn't it?
erik4727 1 week ago
@erik4727
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
@KingdomofGeorgia1 Greece isn't in dire straights because of a big government, rather the LACK of government regulation and discipline amongst its most privilege. You'll find in Greece, more than any other place in the world right now, they are descending quickly into a rightist dystopia. They aren't revolting because they're being "coddled by the government" That's another right wing BULLSHIT conspiracy. Speak to a Greek yourself.
erik4727 1 week ago
@erik4727 Its not about right and left. Economies are tested. Big governments, unions, and inefficiencies leading nations to bankruptcy. What do you want to regulate? businesses? Come on… Gov. does not know how to run business and production. Gov. can't sell and export decrees:-) In Greece when a man gets gov. job, he goes to work, hangs his jacket on the chair, and does not turn up for one week, while hard working German taxpayers take care of Greek bureaucracy.
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
@KingdomofGeorgia1 You seem to know more about this then I do, why don't you tell me whether we've been experiencing a decrease or increase in government intervention over the past 10 years.
Think: Tea Party Congress, Glass-Steagall, Tax Cuts, Rampant Corporate hegemony.
Oh, and this has is only tangentially related but: FUCK Germany, they got rich off the US's back, instead of us donating our money to our Southern Neighbors we help Nazis. We are nazi-enablers. We are nazis.
erik4727 1 week ago
@erik4727 Oh boy this is a lot of question to write in this small window. Only Glass-Steagall history is so long hard to say everything here. Depends on problems and reasons. I would say there is more gov. intervention in the past 3 years. I don't want to have misunderstandings since many ppl call everything regulation. I would say consumer protection is governments responsibility, but not intervention in business. Therefore, I do not support bailout. Let businesses manage themselves.
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
@KingdomofGeorgia1 alright then,we can both agree poor people didnt create the problem,why is it socially acceptable to blame those who weren't the perpetrators but the victims of greedy corporate conniving?Why arent you instead speaking out against them? For a nation that put a man on the moon,sure doesnt place a whole lot of importance on who leads the country.
Let's get one thing straight:Rich Corporations aren't in place to create jobs,
erik4727 1 week ago
@erik4727
Depends on what you
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
@KingdomofGeorgia1 How do YOU measure success? Is it how much money is concentrated, hemorrhaged, at the top, or is it the quality of life from every point of the spectrum? Corporations aren't helpful by their very nature,they got that money not by handing out jobs but by retaining their profits.That's what made them rich in the first place. I wish more people would notice this, and instead of blaming the kid on the street corner, finally realize where their problems come from
erik4727 1 week ago
@erik4727
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
@KingdomofGeorgia1 it's getting tougher on everyone, and there ARE obviously jobs out there somewhere, there just has to be in a sea of over 300m people, some positions are bound to open to someone. The problem is marketing these jobs, gone are the days of living comfortably and purposefully on a factory worker's salary and in are the days of ruthless high-tech competition. Don't blame me for that, i wasnt even around for the transformation
erik4727 1 week ago
We are on the same boat. I graduated from 4 diffrent schools, and I can't find a doorman's position. My situaltion is diffrent. I came in America 22 years ago. I was not young enough to build my career. I am planning to go back to my old country and help them. I am not sure your position, but there are many jobs. What are you looking for?
Some managers say they can't find people. I visited companies sites and I could not beleive... jobs, jobs, jobs are open.
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
II Cont...
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
@KingdomofGeorgia1 they're set in place to generate profits. They're not deities, they're not one to look up to as moral agents, they're big, greedy, multinational bloodsuckers who got rich BY destroying jobs and minimizing costs.....at ALL costs. Even if it means enslaving kids in developing countries. What they should be doing instead is enforcing a GLOBAL living wage, and enforce it through the geneva convention.
erik4727 1 week ago
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
III cont...
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
@KingdomofGeorgia1 Average rate of pay in those countries isn't that high, especially for corporations dominated by Americans. If corporations want to send jobs over there, I guess through my personal law of impartiality, that is totally fine. but they don't have the common decency to pay them a wage they can live off of. That's what I am strongly against, short-changing your employees while reaping massive profits, repeat the process and blame other people.
erik4727 1 week ago
@erik4727

But i guess that depends on your moral.
erik4727 1 week ago
@erik4727
That's true. Some companies have lost ethics and social responsibility. Sometimes, its not corporations, but some hiring managers do stupid things. They make wrong judgements. I am not saying conservatives are always right, but sometimes they are right too.
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
@UncleIrv Maybe you slept through history, but you see that a lot more often in RIGHT WING dictatorships (Hitler, Franco, and Mussolini being three great examples).
BoredomCorner 1 month ago
@BoredomCorner
UncleIrv 1 month ago
@UncleIrv: Actually, the whole Fascist system of government reviled socialism and social democracy, along with Liberalism and Conservatism. Plus, though their economic policies appeared to be in most ways anti-capitalist, they were actually more anti-modernist. Add in the obsession with plots against the state, the purity of racial stock, and a reverence for military action, and you get a monstrous entity which is capable of acts like ethnic cleansing.
Whatsyourvectorvicto 1 month ago
@Whatsyourvectorvicto
Almost everything you've said is inaccurate.
UncleIrv 1 month ago
@UncleIrv, ok, I concede defeat on some level. What I meant was that while there were socialist elements in the Fascist ideology, like collective ownership of the means of production, Fascism mutated them to the point where anything that may have been a throwback to socialism was not recognizable. But, I am an uneducated fool, so I will admit when I am wrong.
Whatsyourvectorvicto 1 month ago
@Whatsyourvectorvicto
UncleIrv 1 month ago
@UncleIrv You do realize that Mussolini, the man who invented Fascism, blatantly pointed out that it was created "To oppose Marxian Socialism" in the first paragraph of his manifesto right? The American Left/Right paradigm is complete nonsense.
BaboonJihad 1 month ago
@BaboonJihad-see, that is what I was trying to get at with my comment, but I got blindsided and had to look things up...alas, politics is a murky pond in an otherwise clear world...
Whatsyourvectorvicto 1 month ago
@UncleIrv The roots of fascism are tied so close to christianity and the christian churches that among historians the term "clerical fascism" has been established, and that is what makes fascism right wing. Also you forget the basic key to the left-right system: left-wing is progressive, right-wing is conservative, so as long as you can't explain why you suppose that fascism is more progressive than conservative, just be quiet.
tmafkap 3 weeks ago
@tmafkap
UncleIrv 3 weeks ago
@UncleIrv Your oppinion about what's right-wing or left-wing is pretty skewed, By your "logic" the (commonly attributed to the right-wing) christnuts are in fact left-wing, because they want to get rid of parts of the US-constitution and the founding principles? You might even call them progressive, because they want to progress into a completely new dark age...
tmafkap 3 weeks ago
@tmafkap
How can I even take you seriously?
Christians want to "get rid of parts of the US Constitution and founding principles"? You are fricken nuts. NAME ONE founding principle or Constitutional doctrine Christians want to "get rid of."
UncleIrv 3 weeks ago
@UncleIrv Separation of church and state.
tmafkap 3 weeks ago
@tmafkap
UncleIrv 2 weeks ago
@UncleIrv Now you are confusing past and present. In the present, evangelical "think" tanks worked out ways to get the biblical creation myth into biology class and different other tactics (cf. "The Wedge Paper") to "tear down that wall" of Jefferson's.
tmafkap 2 weeks ago
@tmafkap
UncleIrv 2 weeks ago
@UncleIrv

UncleIrv 2 weeks ago
@UncleIrv Nice display of ignorance, plus a failed attempt of ad hominem. lol
Running out of "arguments" and beginning to understand that your diversion game doesn't work?
tmafkap 2 weeks ago
@UncleIrv So you keep on playing the shell game of denominations. Thereby you just provide cover for those christians that try to get rid of the standards of civilisation movements like the movements of enlightment or the protests of 1968 fought for. Standards you benefit from, but christian churches condemned them from day one.
tmafkap 2 weeks ago
@UncleIrv The wedge document clearly defines as it's goals (p. 4) to replace materialistic explanations with the "theistic understanding" that everything was "created" by "god" and mentions "intelligent design", which is the replacement for the term "creationism". But, well, you made clear that you neither like facts nor reality when you stopped arguing and started to go ad hominem - thereby only proving my original argument. You are a great example for how christianity corrupts people.
tmafkap 2 weeks ago
@tmafkap
How come you say Christianity corrupts people? Did Jesus teach us corruption? Maybe people abuse system.. I have been Christian all my life and never been corrupted.
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
@KingdomofGeorgia1
You can't see what a system of faith does to you until you take a look from outside of the system.
tmafkap 1 week ago
@tmafkap
Yes, I agree many priests abuse system for centuries, those priests are not my Gods. They are losers. But we also do good deeds for society. Some of them volunteer in dangerous places on the planet. Risking their lives.
KingdomofGeorgia1 1 week ago
@KingdomofGeorgia1 Do people need a "god" or promises of salvation (from what? The threats of hell and eternal damnation are tales those priests came up with) to do good? I'm afraid of those people that need such things. Better are people that act out of understanding, empathy and reason. Look at the horrible things that were done in the name of Jesus, they were based on what's written in the bible. So keeping the bible means to carry the seed for such deeds into the future.
tmafkap 1 week ago
@tmafkap
UncleIrv 3 weeks ago
@UncleIrv The roots of fascism had everything to do with christianity, expecially it's catholic flavor. You can see that throughout the centuries, when christians where bound together by their faith to fight an enemy the church made up: jews, muslims, gnostics, witches, christians of another denomination, and so on. Fascism is the christian (monotheist) reply to democracy (←invented by polytheists) when it became inevitable. But you might need to study religions to understand that...
tmafkap 3 weeks ago
@tmafkap
UncleIrv 3 weeks ago
@UncleIrv Protestants and evangelicals are not better than the orthodox or catholic churches. You know the "killing infidel" business Luther (antisemite), Calvin (most perverted bible interpretation) and the other "reformers" (over 1500 years after Christ they started a reformation, speaks for itself...) did, and that the witch-hunt was not a catholic thing but a "sport" by all christians to prove who the "real" christians are. And since evangelical christians still do it they think they've won.
tmafkap 3 weeks ago
@tmafkap
UncleIrv 2 weeks ago
@UncleIrv LOL! "Divide" (moves hand down) "et impera!" (moves hand from right to left). I love it how christians try to hide between the 35.000+ flavors of christianity, always with the same mantram: "They all ain't no right christians, it's only we who's the real deal!" Even more ridiculous is this idea that after 1100 years of "departing" catholicism, based only on catholicism some folks started a reformation and use that to pretend they have restored something.
tmafkap 2 weeks ago
@tmafkap
UncleIrv 2 weeks ago
@UncleIrv Yes, you obviously run out of "arguments". The bible of evangelical christians is the most crippled version around (only 66 books left from the 76+ originally included), and the idea that on the basis of a form of christianity deemed corrupted (catholicism) a reformation could take place, ignoring the gap of over 1100 years, is the epitome of ignorance. And you defend that... speaks volumes....

@UncleIrv Then why haven't I ever seen the Tea Party protesting on Wall Street, or turning down the CORPORATE support from the Koch Brothers and Fox News?
BoredomCorner 1 month ago
@BoredomCorner

Egalitarian country fair better than unequal, FACT.

@Freidlon7 freedom is infrastructure?
no, infrastructure is civilization and civilization promotes freedom
freedom is the right to be left alone
thats classic, freedom defined as the absence of want, thats a perfect material oversimplification and it suits the entire philosophy of modernism perfectly - as in this case the ends justify the means completely.
diogeneslaertius666 2 months ago
@Freidlon7 NO what's ironic is these services depend on a healthy market. Money for these services didn't grow on trees. And what matters is how free is the market to function and how free are entrepreneurs to create jobs and wealth. Try again.

@H1TExcept that all the biggest discoveries of the modern age are taxpayer funded, government researched, then handed over to the private sector to charge the tax payers again for usage. The internet, computers was state funded, researched then given to the private sector. Nuclear power and the benefits of satellite and space exploration that the taxpayer funded will be next. In history it's been the same pattern from railroads, water to electricity supply. Unfortunate but true.
