@RamaraB Nope to Vedic house system being correct. You see, Astrological Zodiac signs aren't determined by the Constellations, but more on the elements. Vedic astrology isn't correct.
There is a difference between western and Vedic astrology (which is an older form of it.) Vedic is actually better at predicting events and takes into consideration the wobble of the earth.
Astrologers don't care because it's not constellations horoscopes are based on, they're based on current planetary transits in relation to the fixed planetary transits of the month of the sign.
So astrologers use the positions of the planets in the sky, but don't care about the sky part, even though the planets are measured from their positions in the sky and astrolgers say "Mars is in Leo."
@lancislucid Now some facts. Constellations are imaginary. Constellations don't play a role in astrology, Zodiac Signs do. Zodiac Signs are just named upon some of the constellations. There can be only 12 Zodiac signs due to the fact that Zodiac is based upon four elements and trinities of those elements, making a total of 12 partitions of a full circle of 360 degrees, having 12 signs (not constellations) and each having 30 degrees. I think it's alright to sorta look at personality types and see how PEOPLE interact. But saying a person is always in the same category because of a birth date is silly.

The best counter argument I have heard came from another non believer in Astrology ... I argued about the movement and how the signs don't line up from month to month and there are 13 signs in the belt. But he just said maybe its the time of year or position of the sun that is more important on impacting the birth of a child since the sun is closer to the earth than those stars anyways. Granted we both don't believe but it made more sense than a believer has given me.
I'm a Sagittarius and this guy acts totally like a Sagittarius. You can claim technically we're Scorpios, but the fact is, we still act like Sagittariuses. Under this reasoning, he'd have to conclude that it is not the Zodiac that is incorrect, but rather our calendar year that is off by one month. Instead of rolling the signs back one month, how about we roll back the calendar year one month?
Actually Astrologers (not people who write for magazines or newspapers or what-have-you) use something called an ephemeris which corrects for that error. So it's not a problem.
Bill Nye has the looks of a Sagittarian, but also an Aries. I checked and his moon is in Aries. By the way in 1978 Professor Eysenke challenged me to name the birth signs of 10 of his assistants. I correctly named eight of them. He told me my score was amazing with just under 1 in 10 million odds against me being correct. He explained to me you could be wrong 11 times with each person and the figures compound. Now have a nice astrological day.

I take astrology more along the lines of psychology than science (clearly as science disproves it), it gives people motivation and some form of guidance to their life. Whether it happens to work or not, it's still something to get the person going.

when astrology was first developed, the assumption was made that if the stars looked like they were next to each other, they were in fact close to each other and asserted their power and influence on us mortals here on earth. Later on, when astronomy showed us that even though two stars might look very close to each other, one could be closer to the Earth and the second could be millions of light years out. The stars way out there are often closer to stars in completely different constellations.

I think astrology is only legitimately true with regards to your actual zodiac sign, but not with regards to actual horoscopes. I have seen waaaaay too many personality "coincidences" with people and their supposed zodiac signs in order to not no longer believe in them because of this video. I am and have definitely been a Cancer my whole life, and I still attest to that even after only knowing the traits of my sign for only a year.
There is some truth to astrology, but only in the fact that it influences the behaviors of the believers. Kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy of a sort.

If it worked do you really think it would not have been developed into a science by now? Or is science just a bad thing conspiring to debunk your personal belief for the lulz of it? @lancislucid Now some facts. Constellations are imaginary. Constellations don't play a role in astrology, Zodiac Signs do. Zodiac Signs are just named upon some of the constellations. There can be only 12 Zodiac signs due to the fact that Zodiac is based upon four elements and trinities of those elements, making a total of 12 partitions of a full circle of 360 degrees, having 12 signs (not constellations) and each having 30 degrees. Bill Nye just proved that he doesn't know astrology.

There is quite a bit of history regarding astrology outside of my self, for example, being a fair and balanced to the point of neurotic libra. Although I quite identify with those traits. The best counter argument I have heard came from another non believer in Astrology ... I argued about the movement and how the signs don't line up from month to month and there are 13 signs in the belt. But he just said maybe its the time of year or position of the sun that is more important on impacting the birth of a child since the sun is closer to the earth than those stars anyways. Granted we both don't believe but it made more sense than a believer has given me.

Bill Nye has the looks of a Sagittarian, but also an Aries. I checked and his moon is in Aries. By the way in 1978 Professor Eysenke challenged me to name the birth signs of 10 of his assistants. I correctly named eight of them. He told me my score was amazing with just under 1 in 10 million odds against me being correct. He explained to me you could be wrong 11 times with each person and the figures compound. Now have a nice astrological day.

The late WORLD FAMOUS scientist - Professor Han Eysenke (University of London), set out to denounce astrology as nonsense in 1972. however being a scientist he couldn't say something was nonsense without first testing it. He would need to understand statements like - "Having Jupiter in Sagittarius in the 2nd house.
After 5 years of study he wrote a FULL PAGE in the Evening Standard in 1977 saying he was ASTONISHED at the TRUTH he'd found in the subject.
He was MUCH more famous than Bill Nye.

when astrology was first developed, the assumption was made that if the stars looked like they were next to each other, they were in fact close to each other and asserted their power and influence on us mortals here on earth. Later on, when astronomy showed us that even though two stars might look very close to each other, one could be closer to the Earth and the second could be millions of light years out. The stars way out there are often closer to stars in completely different constellations.

I think astrology is only legitimately true with regards to your actual zodiac sign, but not with regards to actual horoscopes. I have seen waaaaay too many personality "coincidences" with people and their supposed zodiac signs in order to not no longer believe in them because of this video. There is some truth to astrology, but only in the fact that it influences the behaviors of the believers. Kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy of a sort.

astrology is a load of bullshit. and i think some of you are confusing astronomy with astrology. astronomy is a respected science and has contributed to society in positive ways that we can see around us. Astrology is a mysticism thats ancient and outdated and holds no weight in scientific debate

This is factually wrong. Whether or not astrology is true or not is a seperate issue, but the claim that astrologers don't know about this "wobble" effect is false. Astrologers use sidereal time, and the movement of the signs through our calendar marks an age in astrology which lasts about 2200 years. Get your facts straight before you criticize something you know little about or you are no better than a creationist.
