  • WHOOAOAAA!!!! At 0:59 he kicks a sword, then the guy BEFORE the sword touches the ground!!!!

  • I love this vidoeo, but the guy at 0:30 just looks so fucking stupid... I have to laugh everytime.

  • This guy is fucking amazing!!! what's the film name?

  • @brucehemanth Young Master , Jackie cast him in another one just because he is insane. Dragon Lord .

  • @brucehemanth He's a Korean Master. His name is Master Hwang.

  • I like the part at 1:20 when he just kicks the guy off the ground. Freakin' awesome, but hilarious at the same time.

  • That nigga went insane!!! His kicks are cold, fast and powerful!!!

  • ouch

  • I love how he kicks a iron sword that is being swung at him.

  • This actually wasnt bad!

I´ve seen it a long time ago.

  • I am pretty sure after Memorial Day this is how I will look and feel....and what I will do if anybody screws with me !! Haaaa!

  • mosswalker2 did Young Ho Hwang start a new association and leave the original association? I heard he left the Hap Ki Do academy one day and never came back. Is that because he parted ways? By the way there were some other black belts. One great artist Black Belt level from the Danforth Academy teaches out in BC Can I heard. His name is George and he was awesome.

  • @weissmag Hi dude. SOrry i cannot answer that question. I have met Young Ho twice in my life that i can remember. Both times at government nightclub. So as to his life doings, i havent a clue. I am trying to figure out who George is in my memory. As i said some time back in my comments i was only there 2 years in the early 80's. When Tom and Gus, Paul, Andrew and Courtney, Maria, old man George...man there is more but i cant remember their names any more. After Hwang to Cheungs and Okiyama

  • @mosswalker2 Ok well yeah Courtney and Andrew (Andrew passed away you know back in 1998 or so) To and Gus I met once. All the stories about those two guys especially their fights at the Spectrum Nightclub on Danforth. Anyway George is a Chinese fellow must be around 45 years now slim build about 5'10" and super fast with awesome quick kicks and punches, grabbing and twisting was brutal with wicked throws. I heard he runs his own school out in BC.

  • @weissmag Yes, i was at the funeral. Shot by an idiot at Spin Cat. And those stories about Tom and Gus are true. Ass kickers :-)

  • 1:23 was sick. he tripped him, then kicked him out of mid air. but this isn;t hapkido at all.. i do hapkido. and ... this isnt

  • This video is cool. Our organization, Jang Mu Won Hapkido, will be training with Grandmaster Hwang In-Shik on may 15, 2010 at Laughlin NV.

  • hahahahaha =D good video

  • brutal... from what movie is this clip taken??

  • AHAHA LOL

  • This guy learned his technique from a C64 game I think...

  • @bbenjoe ROFLcoptor

  • To je nej. píčovina, kterou jsem viděl

  • I do agree. This is insane=))

  • Shaolin Wood Man

  • @eltaboot great movie, one of his best

  • this is my favourite Jackie Chan movie ever. He also wrote and directed it.

  • its only a movie

this is stupid, this will not work for real life .

you may be scared in real life if someone try to hit you by sword.

  • Is this really Hapkido? I thought Hapkido focuses more on throws and breaking body parts, instead of striking.

  • HapKido does it all. We are considered the original MMA. Kicks, punching, small joint manipulation. Pressure points and healing knowledge is also taught as well. truthfully it all comes down to your school.

  • @testicularcancer

hapkido is basically aikido with kicks

  • @lunasxkillingxspree thanks mate, didnt know that. i only know what ive been told

  • Close. ALthough they are all from the same father (art) they have more traits to share with their mother (martial) SO BJJ didnt exist in its current form in the 40's when this was developed. Nor TKD. It is Aiki/jutsu base with kicks developed for it later on mostly from tang soo do. Choi never lived in China so i dont know where Tai Chi would come from in there.

  • It wasn't Choi who introduced the breathig in Hapkido. IT was Ji Han Jae. He took it from a nun. I don't remember the name of the nun. The kicks also came fron Tae Kyon (i don't know how it is spelled) and from personal development of the students of master Choi (like the spinning kick). At least, i think so. BTW great vid.

  • Quite. Hapkido cames from Daito Ryu Aikijujutso. The kicking techniques are influence from Tae Kyon (like Tang Soo do), but also from self development from several students of master Choi, who were the actual founders of Hapkido as we know it today (allthough apparently Choi called his art Hapkido, it was more Daiy Ryu... than anything). The breathing in Hapkido are techniques Ji Han JAe learned from a nun (i don't remember the name).

  • @mosswalker2 I've been training straight for over a year now in the art. Tai Chi is where the energy work comes from. jujitsu is when the fight goes to the ground and turns into a grappling match and many of the kicks derived from tkd and many different arts. it is very interesting what you come across when having to write a 10 page research paper on what the art was derived from

  • @lunasxkillingxspree but are you enjoying it ? Thats most important.

  • @lunasxkillingxspree .....you difnetly know nothing..may be thats why people spammed your comment....you must be a kid..

  • same principles

  • @testicularcancer it's a combonation of the two. Depending of which variation of it you learn some of it focuses more on joint locks and throwing, and some has certain kicks and punches involved.

  • @testicularcancer Yes it really is Hapkido except that it's altered to be more film friendly. Hapkido doesn't exclude techniques it is the use of circle flow and harmony to create movements and generate power. When fighting multiple opponents with swords you can't spend too much time with any one so striking is pretty necessary.

  • If I am not mistaken, this is the main martial art form used by the US military. There are other techniques us my our army, as with any other combat training, but I am pretty sure that this is the basic form

  • wat is the movies name??????

  • The Young Master

  • Se sabe que este tipo en la vida real era tan rápido como lo veían las cámaras. Siempre me gustó este filme. ¿The drunken master?....

  • Grandmaster Schin? I do not know this guy. I always thought Karl and Young Ho Hwang were the highest ranked guys direct from the school? WIth another guy willing placing himself under Hwang to make him the leader of a new association.

  • Tae Jung. That guy is before my time. I just found him online he was the 70's. WHA .

  • So beast.

  • yeah, they are late to react,so they decide their reaction before they know what attack is

  • 0:32 LOL

  • That guy is so "beep" fast @_@

  • anyway this guy sure looks better than jackie chan

    lol

  • this isnt hapkido

this is a jackie chan film called young master

  • the style is hapkido genius not the movie title

  • the way like these guys just fly make you think its real just because they dont even have good special effects to simulate such a thing at that time, I didn´t see any hopes

  • does anyone know what the title of this film?

  • The Young Master

Jackie Chan has a great endfight in this movie.

  • I can see that he is indeed fast, but I think that the film was still sped up. You can tell by the speed of which things fall.

No matter how fast you are, you can't really expect to change the power of gravity because of it.

  • as good as or better than Bruce

  • @spoonman73

Keep in mind.... they had to slow down the films for Bruce.

This guy WAS fun to watch though :)

  • @spoonman73 the fight scenes are speed up... while bruce lees had to be filmed in 32fps instead of 24fps because they were too fast

  • hapkido wasnt even invented.

  • A lighter take on a martial arts film but still good to watch. Hwang In Sik also appeared in the legendary Hapkido with Angela Mao where, now this is true, long hair became an effective weapon.

  • Hwang In Shik might be a 10th dan in Hapkido but I see very little here I would call Hapkido. I think this is more Tang Soo Do than Hapkido. Still phenomenal talent and incredible speed. Even though this is choreographed and over edited enough of Hwang's mastery shows through for me to put him on my list of folk not to piss off.

  • correct, this is more Tang Soo Do.

  • Thank you, consoleman09, I was worried that I had stepped too far out on a limb.

  • he is almost as good as Bruce Lee :)

  • insane indeed

  • SDSen: Hapkido will work very effectively on the street ...Ur using Tyson as an example which is unfair purely because Tyson was a one off a rare breed who had incredible speed power and boxing smarts in his prime...Not many people would stand up to Tyson on the street anyway so using him as an example to beat is not how one should compare different arts...because in all honesty how many Tyson's will you find on the street if u ever had to defend urself?? NONE of his calibre ..

  • was that bobby lee?

  • intense zoom in and zoom outs lol

  • agreed rofl

  • que caruchas papa!!!!

  • This is awesome! Hahaha!

  • MooneShadow knows what he's talking about. I train HapKiDo almost 7 days a week. I have also trained in BJJ. We have grappling 2 nights a week and it is not as 'gentlemanly' as traditional BJJ. i.e. neck cranks and finger locks.

  • Neck cranks hurt. :-) Finger locks are good leaders into medium and large joint manipulation/collapse.

  • I dont grab fingers to much in class but I do use wrist locks and the palm press. Great from the ground to control and sweep

  • Oh and both have Ikkio, Nikkio, Sanko, Yanko and Gokyo Techniques to boot.

  • don't worry about my punches, i used to box, i love these kicks and joint things. shit's dope.

  • If you like Joint locks then look up Jujitsu, Akido and of course Hapkido. Mix these three up and you get a nice understanding of how this martial art called Jujitsu was just splintered apart. Hapkido gives you the kick and punches needed to add to the joint locks. Akido gives you another aspect of when you are being attacked at full force and a better learning of one's center and Jujitsu brings it to the ground! Add ITF tae kwon do and you are a very well rounded artist.

  • How would you rate top class Hapkido experts like Hwang in comparison to top class boxers say for example Tyson...Would they be affective against boxers ?

  • Id say it depends on the smarter fighter. For instance, if Tyson was to land a punch your done for...LOL That simple. BUT what tyson lacked was a going backward game which means of you clinched him (which was easy to do) and took him to the ground he wouldnt be able to offer anything up. Even with a standing game leg kicks would eventually destroy boxers... But again any full contact from a boxers fist could knock you out so its all up the the smarter fighter.

  • @MooneShadow Tyson will bite LOL

  • Then you also have to take in the redirection aspect of Hapkido. HKD, just like Jiujitsu's other branch off Martial arts center around a smaller and weaker opponent being able to fight off a larger and stronger one.

  • Nope

  • I started 2 weeks ago, the first things we've been learning are the basic punches and kicks, and the basic self defense releases... Last lesson we also practiced some of our fall breaks... Learning fast, probably because me and my friend practice at home though.

  • You are training with Master Hwang ?

  • cool you'll like it it is good self defense this is my 9th year doing it :)

  • I don't think he means he's training with Master Hwang though... Just learning hapkido. It's fun. I have gone two times a week, for a few months. I like it a lot.

  • I'm Learning Hapkido, and there is almost no emphasis on strikes. pretty much all pressure points and balance.

  • There will be, or should be. First thing you should be learning is how to throw a punch properly.

  • really? maybe you shold go to a different one. strikes was pretty much the first thing we learned as a white belt

  • yea i pretty much learned basic strikes and kicks first... punches, elbows, knife hand strikes

  • No strikes? Hapkido is almost like Tae kwon Do. Only difference is Hapkido uses joint locks in combo with strikes and throws aka Jujitsu/Akido type throws. You should learn the basic punch kicks so you can combo the Jujitsu aspect of the martial art.

  • tae kwon do is a olympic sport hapkido is not

  • WTF is olympic...

I learned ITF which is not...

Look up ITF TKD. Much more a hard core style. We punch to the face, we kick box.

  • great action!

  • 사제출마 Korean name 황인식 사범

  • what is the name of the movie plz

  • eta porra

  • My masters master trained with the man, he is the fastest guy I have ever seen! Love his kicks!!!!

  • haha i own this movie!

  • Mosswalker2...Whang Ing Sik was in the movie "Way of the Dragon" with Bruce Lee. Did he tell you any stories about Bruce and What did he think of Bruce.

  • Only think he ever said about him while i was standing there so its not hearsay was on the DAY i first met him and Maria the lady that took me there were talking. It got to the topic of Bruce because i was 13 and a fanboi. Whatever i asked got him to say (paraphrased) "His death is a great bad loss." or something like that.

  • yo mosswalker 2 i uploaded my first clip to youtube yesterday

  • is hwang in shik still teaching

  • i love this movie is so entertaining and good to showcase hwang in shik incredible hapkido skill he is the best and my idol.

  • hey if someone can message me about information where in shik whang teaches, i hear in toronto canada but where exactly! and i only want messages from people who train under him, thanks.

  • Master Hwang teaches at Pape and Danforth, two bloacks east on the danforth across from Pizza Pizza. You will see a black sign and you go downstairs. I think he still doesnt open till 3:30 or 4:00 o'clock.

  • do you know hwang in shik

  • hey man privately message me, if your one of his students i got a couple of questions for you, thanks.

  • can i ask you about hwang in shik

  • Sure i will answer what i can.

  • oh thanks is he really that fast in real life with his kicks

  • He was yes he was. I can tell you only of things i saw hiding out in the door way when the high belts were there training. Or the guy who came in talking shit and while he was talking shit, Sir tossed a snap kick at him so fast that some of us didnt know one was thrown until we noticed the guys coat was moving. All the other stories from me would be heresay but i take them as truth since they are never greater then what i saw him do back in the day on a daily basis.

  • His top 5 or 6 students were absolute machines who were built to kill. Tom and Gus, my friend Andrew (R.I.P) and his friend Courtney. Paul, Young Ho, Richard, Carl. Scary fuckers who i would never want mad at me and i got in a fuck load of fights when i was young.

  • have you seen his movies

  • thanks for the imformation the guys a legend and my idol. Is he funny

  • I am a poor kicker, when it comes to high kicks. I like the facts that these kicks are not so high, and the wip "imagine" used when kicking. I allsow like the punching in hapkido, but this video, barely shows some.. I realy wish i could learn this. (i got 5 years expiriance in Karate/judo)

  • is this a film? what's the name?

  • this is a film young master is the name

  • hwang in shik is cool

  • woooooooooo hapkido rocks

hes almost as good as master brown almost

  • that was insane

  • owned...

  • wow i still have this movie too haha i love it.

  • To the Bruce fan boi. Bruce Lee was amazing because unlike his fan base he knew that no one person knew everything and there was many things to learn. He was slowly becoming an MMA practioner. Hwang already was. IMHO in a straight out fight Bruce would have lost. We will never know but I have seen Hwang in action. It was some Scary shit. In a street fight 95% MMA will dominate and Hapkido was MMA before it had a name. Master Hwang was and is the best at it.

  • no man

hapkido comes from aikido but it is the faster version of it.

  • Hapkido is Korean. Aikido is Japanese. That's the main difference.

  • No the main difference is that they are 2 completely different arts. It is like comparing Tae Kwon Do and BJJ. The only thing they truly have in common is the fact that they are a martial art.
