Hello, just love your vids. I've got a question about adding fruit to the pancake mix, can it be frozen fruit that come in a bag, or would i have to thaw the fruit first?
@dustborn84 Hi! Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. When I don't have fresh fruit on hand, sometimes I use frozen. You may have to cook the pancakes a little bit longer to get the centers done as sometimes frozen berries cause the pancakes to cook unevenly. Hope this helps! Thank you again for stopping by. Hugs to you and yours...
Lol...I changed the milk to water and forgot to put the egg but still tasted nice!! This recipe is really good no matter what you do to the batter!!!!!!
uuuhhhmmm i was just wondering can it still work if you use just egg, suger, milk and flour...coz i really cant be bothered to do all of that...im a really busy woman...i don't even have time for breakfast...but im just wondering...
@TheLadyV009 Hi! Thank you for watching and writing in. You can substitute water for the milk, but the pancakes might not be as rich in flavor or as fluffy. Do you have a can of evaporated milk? Use one part evaporated milk to one part water. Watered down coffee creamer or half and half works too. Hope this helps. Thanks again for stopping by. Have a beautiful day!
@Raschid94 Hi! Thank you so much for watching and writing in. I really appreciate it. I used a KitchenAid brand mixer that I purchased from Costco, but you can use any brand mixer or even mix this batter by hand. Thank you again for stopping by. Wishing you and yours a beautiful day. Hugs...
@usafireandrescue Hi. Your videos are fantastic! I have a question about baking powder. Is it possible to make the pancakes without baking powder? I don't have any available and was wondering if I absolutely had to make them with the baking powder. And vanilla too. Another question, can I just mix it without the beater?
@Kaitlynn992 Hi! Thank you so much for writing in. I'm sorry that I'm just now getting back with you. I'm also sorry the pancakes didn't turn out right (I just read your latest post). You do need the baking powder for this recipe as it helps make the pancakes light and fluffy. You can leave out the vanilla if you do not have any, but I think it does make the pancakes taste better with the vanilla. You can also mix by hand, just be careful not to overmix. Thank you again. Hugs...
@usafireandrescue Oh okay. I wasn't sure if they would turn out okay without it and I was expecting a reply before the weekend was over so I decided to try it last night, but i didn't have any so I didn't get to use it. Haha, I figured that's why my pancakes weren't fluffy! :D Thanks for a reply.

@sbjam2011 Hi! I'm sorry I just found your post. Uneven pancake color could be caused by several things. 1. Temperature of your pan/griddle. I have mine set around 375. 2. Amount of grease on the pan/griddle. Try to thinly coat the griddle with butter/spray, etc. 3. Thickness of the batter. Generally, thicker batter will brown more evenly. Hope this helps. Thanks again for watching and writing in! Hugs...
@timemake Hi! Thanks for watching! Yes, chocolate chips are a great addition to the pancakes. Blueberries are good too. Hope you will like this recipe. Thanks again for stopping by and have a beautiful day!

@reggaedayna Hi! Thank you for watching! I got about 8 nice-sized pancakes from one batch. I hope you will like these. Have a beautiful day and take care.
@iHeartfRogs268 Hi! Thanks for watching and writing in. Yes, a whisk and bowl will work fine. As for needing the melted margerine/butter... I accidentally left it out once and the pancakes still turned out great. Hope you will like this recipe. Have a beautiful day and thank you again for stopping by.
@angeles90 Hi! Thank you for watching. Yes, a hanheld electric mixer will work great. Here's a tip... try not to overmix the batter. Overmixing can cause your pancakes to be more tough and dense. Hope you will like this recipe. Have a beautiful week ahead!
@lifty1234 Dear Robyn! Thank you so much for watching and writing in. I'm so happy these pancakes turned out great for you and your children. It's a wonderful recipe to make with the little ones.. and it's delicious! Thank you again and have a beautiful day! Hugs...
@ThisWhatIf Thank you for watching. You could use a sugar substitute such as Splenda, etc. The baking powder is a leavening agent and is needed to make the pancakes light and fluffy. You can make your own baking powder... for each 1 teaspoon of baking powder needed in a recipe, use 1/4 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar. Hope this helps.
@ThisWhatIf i got this from somewhere , you can use 1 tsp of yeast in 3c of plain flour and 3c of water bt this will require you to set a side the batter for half an hour b4 cooking. I havnt tried it bt they luked ok in the video. This recipe is better though, its quick ! thanku for the recipe
@GoldEaglePower Hi! 1 cup of all purpose flour is approximately 125 grams.1 cup of self raising flour has around 1 - 2 tsp of baking powder in it, whereas this recipe needs 3 tsp to make the pancakes light and fluffy. I'm not sure there is enough raising power in the self rising flour. Although I've never tried this, you could experiment and substitute the regular flour with 1 cup of self raising flour, leaving out the salt and possibly adding 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder. Hope this helps.
@jadever Hi! Thank you so much for watching and writing in. I have a link to the printed recipe in the video description. Hope you will like this recipe! Have a beautiful day.

@sbjam2011 Hi! Thanks for watching! The plate of pancakes in the video has about 5 pancakes and I think I had about 3 more left over... I got about 8 nice-sized pancakes from one batch. I hope you will like these. Have a beautiful day and take care.
@usafireandrescue thanks! :) i'm going to try it this tuesday morning after i get all the ingredients needed! oh, would like to know whether i could use butter instead of margarine? and could i fry it with oil or butter instead of cooking oil? oil/butter which would be better?
@sbjam2011 Hi! It's no trouble at all :-) Butter works great in this recipe. You can also use oil or butter to fry. When I'm in a rush, I use non-stick cooking spray, but I mostly lightly grease my griddle with butter. Some other tips... make sure your griddle/pan is hot enough by dropping a pinch of water on it. It should dance a little then evaporate. Flip the pancakes as soon as it starts to bubble. Enjoy!
@NinjaBartender1 Hi. Thanks for watching! Your skillet or griddle should be set to medium heat... 350 to 375 degrees. Test the heat by dropping a pinch of water onto the griddle. If the griddle is ready, the water will sizzle and evaporate in a few seconds. Thanks again for watching and writing in! Have a beautiful day... hugs.
I made these for my husband this father's day. I changed just one ingredient and they came out perfect. He is a critic and a very hard to please. He ended up loving it and saying it's the best pancakes he ever had! Yeah!!!!! Jackpot! Thanks for the recipe!
@cordova2005 Hi! Thank you so very much for taking the time to write in. I truly appreciate it! I'm so happy your husband liked the pancakes. I pray he had a wonderful Father's Day. Thank you again! Hugs...
@CheeseyGreg Hi! Thank you for watching. Butter works great. Many times I use it instead of margarine. I think it gives the pancakes a richer flavor. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for sharing this recipe, gotta try this one.
Also I wanna share this tip, if you want oddly shaped pancakes (e.g. car) you can put the batter into a plastic bag(the one used for cake icing) then use that to draw anything you like.
@Ingibjorg97 Hi. Thanks for watching. 2 tablespoons of melted butter or margarine at 0:42. Hope you can give this recipe a try. Thanks again for stopping by. Hugs...
@ST4RBURSTS Hi! Thank you for watching and writing in. The Baking Powder is a raising agent that increases the volume and lightens the texture of the pancake. Since this recipe uses all-purpose flour, you will need the baking powder to make the pancakes light and fluffy. If you leave out the baking powder, the pancakes will be lacking in volume and more dense. Hope this helps. Thank you again for stopping by!
@MsPin0cchio Hi. Thank you for watching and writing in. 1 cup of self raising flour has around 1 - 2 tsp of baking powder in it, whereas this recipe needs 3 tsp to make the pancakes light and fluffy. 0:26 Oh my gosh I love that transition special effect, what software did you get that from? And when my school year ends (which is just over a week away), I'll have to try making that. I suppose I can use wheat flower instead of white?
@Lavenderrose73 Hi! Thank you so much! I used Pinnacle Studio HD with ProDAD Special Effects to edit. I hope you can give this recipe a try once you are on Summer Break! I've never substituted wheat flour for white. It should work, but the pancakes may turn out more dense and not as fluffy. Thank you again for stopping by and have a happy and safe summer vacation! Hugs...
@usafireandrescue Cool. I kinda prefer the more nutritious approach, but I'll keep your reply in my inbox for when I can try it and need to refer back to the video. : )
@Samanthaaa131 Hi! Thanks for watching! I got about 8 nice sized pancakes from one batch. It just depends on how big you like your pancakes. Hope you can give this recipe a try. Have a beautiful holiday weekend! Hugs...
Thank you for posting this. I checked your channel because I KNEW you would have a simple and easy recipe. You never let me down. They were great! :-)

does it have to be margarine or can it be butter?
CheeseyGreg 9 months ago
@CheeseyGreg Hi! Thank you for watching. Butter works great. Many times I use it instead of margarine. I think it gives the pancakes a richer flavor. Have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for sharing this recipe, gotta try this one.
Also I wanna share this tip, if you want oddly shaped pancakes (e.g. car) you can put the batter into a plastic bag(the one used for cake icing) then use that to draw anything you like.

@usafireandrescue Hi, can you do this without baking powder?
ST4RBURSTS 9 months ago
@ST4RBURSTS Hi! Thank you for watching and writing in. The Baking Powder is a raising agent that increases the volume and lightens the texture of the pancake. Since this recipe uses all-purpose flour, you will need the baking powder to make the pancakes light and fluffy. If you leave out the baking powder, the pancakes will be lacking in volume and more dense. Hope this helps. Thank you again for stopping by!

Can I use the self-raising flour in this recipe? Pls reply
MsPin0cchio 9 months ago
@MsPin0cchio Hi. Thank you for watching and writing in. 1 cup of self raising flour has around 1 - 2 tsp of baking powder in it, whereas this recipe needs 3 tsp to make the pancakes light and fluffy. I'm not sure there is enough raising power in the self rising flour. Although I've never tried this, you could experiment and substitute the regular flour with 1 cup of self raising flour, leaving out the salt and possibly adding 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder.

0:26 Oh my gosh I love that transition special effect, what software did you get that from? And when my school year ends (which is just over a week away), I'll have to try making that. I suppose I can use wheat flower instead of white?
Lavenderrose73 9 months ago
@Lavenderrose73 Hi! Thank you so much! I used Pinnacle Studio HD with ProDAD Special Effects to edit. I hope you can give this recipe a try once you are on Summer Break! I've never substituted wheat flour for white. It should work, but the pancakes may turn out more dense and not as fluffy. Thank you again for stopping by and have a happy and safe summer vacation! Hugs...

@usafireandrescue Cool. I kinda prefer the more nutritious approach, but I'll keep your reply in my inbox for when I can try it and need to refer back to the video. : )
