  • What would these actaully be used in ?

  • there sooo cheep and inexpensive, i give them out to little kids on Halloween

  • how many hours do i need to practice to get as good as this

  • Put a chuck on it and drill through anything :)

  • This would make the worlds coolest moped

  • take off that stand and put it in an rc car.

  • this is pretty cool, is the power rateing in hp or something else?

  • 3 cubic inch small block. LOL

  • that is a really neat engine man.

  • Hey! put this on an rc truck not on a piece of wood. :(

  • how much horsepower does the engine have?

  • put this one on a bike =D

  • hey i need this in my HOT WHEELS!!!!

  • You should hook it up to a blender :) That would be the coolest blender in the world

  • @fordyrox top gear did it, with a real engine! it so funny to watch

  • is it 2 stroke or 4 stroke?

    sound really nice!

  • I want to know where to get one of these motors. Caan you tell where i can get one?

  • @mclivetough1 if you have $4000 to waste go on to mini steam.com and search: conley

  • I bet that would fit i a prius

  • @aaronzack14 and double the power!

  • you can get these for about 7 and 1/2 g's go to conley.com and blow your own mind like i did drooling at the price tag thats b.s. just because they are the only ones who make it the can over price we live in the usa and the only thing that can be stupidly over priced is oil products

  • @turneynicholas

71/2 K would get you a fuel injected Ford or Chevy! This must be a very small production batch price. Considering the tooling involved, it's probably 100% machined. A larger batch rate would justify castings. Like you said, They need more competition. I don't see the market, though. I think I'll stick with things I can actually drive.

  • that_is_awesome. didn't even know there was a v style rc motors... now i want to build my own rc with that in it :0

  • put it in a pocket bike !!!

  • No cooling system components shown? I know these are normally water-cooled, but the stand doesn't seem to have accommodations for a radiator. Is air cooling sufficient for these short-duration test runs of a minute or less, but the water-cooling system becomes necessary only with extended run times?

  • Nitromethane can be mixed with gasoline in racing applications, however the cost to do so insanely offsets the benefits. It's much more cost effective to go with an alchohol/nitromethane mixture. I have seen some of the octane boosters that you can buy that have nitromethane listed as one of their ingredients, however I really doubt it's the ingredient giving the actual boost in this application.

  • glow plugs... so do you think it could run on diesel?

  • i want this but i dont have money im only 13

  • Awesome piece of hardware, would you be willing to sell it?

  • nice one and good sound

  • yes, this is cool. but it is a complete waste of engine. i really should be put in a model car or something

  • how much is one

  • Video made with Pinnacle....wonder how I knew that? They have a glorious 7 fonts.woo hoo

  • where can i buy it????? and how much hahaha

  • if i had 5000 on me i wouldnt buy that i would go see my girlfriend in cali : ) yep

  • Scale up a twin turbo setup for it.

  • Very cool

  • mini nitrous kit!

  • how much does one like that cost?

  • like 5K.

  • about $5000 to $7500

  • @dragracing3508 i can get a real chevy 350+tranny for less than that lmao

  • @TheRatRodsKrew yea i know lol its rediculous but awesome

  • ive only found them for $4995.95

  • Very nice video! I have a Conley kit. It is missing the valves, and rockers. Do you know where I might find some drawings?

    Thank you

  • You could use it to make the world's coolest cordless drill!!!!!

  • ...or weedtrimmer!!! Just imagine...handheld powertools using a V8 Engine!!!!!

  • @devo4g63 LOL! It would make a BADASS powerplant for a go-kart! If I'd known this could be done and had the cash to drop $5K+ for a go-kart engine at age 12, I'd have probably built my go-kart with one of these instead of the 5HP side-shaft Briggs that I used, just for the SOUND alone! What 12-year-old kid wouldn't go half nuts over a 6.5HP powerplant that roared like a shrunken Chevy 350???

  • @devo4g63 or a goped

  • is this a two or four stroke engine

  • 1/4th scale 50cc 4 stoke v8 16v.

He says it at about 30 seconds in...

  • very nice wonderful engine

  • This is freakin awesome ! do you know how many HP it does ?

  • around 6.5 hp

  • what about torque?

  • have you bought it???

  • nitro is expensive. what's the ratio of methanol to nitro. and how much gas do you usually go through?

  • I totally agree with you chris. I work hard, am able to support my family as well as have a hobby I enjoy. As a machinist I am thinking of making one of those awesome nitro v8's myself. Just not sure what I wanna base it on.

  • a 74 dart dart?

  • might you be willing to sell it? lol

  • does any1 know if nitromethane and regular fuel mixed in a sportscar will be safe or would it do damage, or will it even work

  • i wouldnt try it. extreme high performance dragsters and NASCAR engines run off of nitro. putting it in a "store bought" sports car may ruin the tune or the engine.

  • nascar and nitro? are you high?

  • ....maybe......

  • you must be. there is no nitromethane in nascar fuel just as there is no sex in the champagne room.

  • what r u talking about?

  • Methanol and mixtures of nitromethanol run a fuel to air mixture that is about 2 times that of gasoline. Your vehicle would need to be able to inject twice as much of the nitro fuel that it does running on gasoline. Aside from overcoming that hurdle, there are a host of other things that stand in your way such as compression ratio, exhaust valve problems, and the methanol attacking rubber and plastic components in the fuel line. Also, your catalytic convertor would absolutely be destroyed.

  • all that is true but honestly it wouldnt run long at all it would most likey burn the top end and melt a hole threw the piston as soon as you rev it

  • @chopmop08 You can do it in a briggs&stratton powered lawnmover :-)

Only suggested if you really need to cut the half a meter grass....

Dont use less than 50% gasoline or it will get problems in idling. It smells like dragracing and with a little adjustment (if really needed) on the main jet it will give you quite a lot more useful HP's.

  • @chopmop08 NITRO AND GASOLINE WILL NOT EVEN MIX IN THE FIRST PLACE YOU WOULD HAVE TO RUN ALCOHOL WITH VERY LITTLE NITRO THE MOST WOULD BE 5 PERCENT.

  • woah? i can get a full size v8 ofr 6 k!!!

  • you can probably get more than just one full size v8 for 6k

  • lol yup

  • well done

  • how much do one of those cost

  • 6k $

  • Who needs a girlfriend with THAT?

    Get your priorities straight, man.

  • I am married and have a wonderful family. Your comment, on the other hand, shows that you obviously have a serious lack of relationship experience. If you think that you can't be smart, successful, and have hobbies that the likes of you would need a lifetime to understand, AND still be loved, then you are going to be the one who is lonely.

  • @chrisnjillian well said. back on topic. have you done anything with this engine since this video?

  • @ATOMsMasHER22 ahahahaha He TORCHED your ass!

  • Very VERY well done.

  • wow.. i'm impressed of the setup.. great engine btw.

  • Just outa curiousity how much did the kit cost when it was offered? Also, does anyone currently offer a miniature engine kit?

  • I know Conley offers a couple and they start around 5 or 6 thousand dollars

  • Cool engine, the setup you created for it impresses me as much as the engine. Well Done!!

  • is that a kit you put together? please answer back

  • Yes it was a kit from WAY back when Conley still made kits. All of their engines today come assembled.

  • great!! i wish i could make one~

  • FANTASTIIIC!!!

  • thats like 1/8th scale

  • hi man,

    whats the price of that?

    is just perfect

  • Less talk, moar revs.

  • nice but whats the point

  • dude, go cart that shit up

  • thats badass id so out that in a lil go cart and be gone it prolly has nice horsepower for its size but prolly shitty mileage but looks fun to play wit

  • thats awesome, were did u get schematics for the servo controller and were did u find that 9000mAh NiMH battery? 5 stars

  • Thanks for the kudos! I designed the servo controller. If you know how to use a 555 timer chip, you can use it to make the pulses that are required to control a servo. The 9000mah battery pack was make by putting 6 1500mah cells in parallel. This makes a 1.2 volt, 9000mah battery pack.

  • His fuel tank looks like a freakin Silo. It must guzzle a crap load of fuel but awesome none the less

  • I made the fuel tank by welding the bottoms of 2 coke cans onto both ends of a section of aluminum tube. The aluminum tube was taken from a large patio umbrella.

  • hey plz can u tell me where i can get 1 of these in the uk and how much wud it be?

  • His site and 6k

  • Are you gonna put in a car? if you do let me know

  • aye man where do u get these kits cuz ill buy one no matter the price.

  • it's 6,000 and Gary Conley doesn't make that engine anymore. you wold have to buy a new Stinger 609

  • um try 5,730 or prety close to that

  • kiero uno me lo regalas???????

  • lol? you kidding?

it's people like this that make money in the MILLIONS

and it's people like "bert" here that make 5$ an hour at his janitor job

  • anyone thats into cars, trucks or anything mechanical would love to have that motor.

  • EXACTLY why I bought it.

  • How is this the least interesting hobby? Compared to what?

  • His in teresting hobbies is probily sitting in front of the tv.

  • No, It was a reply to the person saying it was one of the least interesting hobbies, that surprised me. Its actually one of the most interesting hobbies! Designing, and fabricating your own engine then hearing it roar as it comes to life!!!! What could be better!?

  • how much does it cost just for the engine itself

  • $5,300 and options take it still higher...

  • Great explanation. Thanks. Nice work on the stand and everything.

  • engines are getting smaller

  • I bet it could go fast that and Smart Fortwo

  • bet it gets shitty gas milleg lmao

  • I want one!!!

  • if you want to buy a rtr car with this in it, it costs not $1,500 but $15,000! no kidding, the engine alone costs $5,000! rip off!!!!!

  • cool, but really got to ask what is the point in only keeping it strapped to a piece of wood?

  • This is a very early engine for Conley. It was never meant to really power something because of how the crank was built. It does its job as a proof of concept very well and satisfies my need for owning an absolute piece of mechanical art. My engine is more of a collector item because it is serial number 0007. All of his current engines WERE designed to be very capable of powering scale models and you can find many videos of them in cars on youtube.

  • i want one of those things with a blower on my skate board :P

  • awesome. are you planning to put it in anything?

  • now how about a Plymouth 440 six pack mini or a subaru boxer mini....all of these mini engines on youtube rock ;)

  • A tachometer would be a nice addition to that kit. I'd really want to know how fast it spins.

  • did you make this and the jet engine yourself??? either way, what good is an engine that doesnt move something?!??

  • wtf?

  • rig that up in a chain saw lol

  • Thousands of dollars.

  • make a big mama sex wonder with that

  • that is so cute. how much?

  • 5,000 bucks for that!!!

  • Really slick - good job!!

  • more videos please

  • u are going to put that motor in a, nice 1/4 scale rc plane?

  • It's a car engine, dipshit. Conley made 14,000 dollar RC cars that used that engine. If you spent that much, you got the car, engine and everything you need. Add radio, assemble, fuel, go for it :D

  • boring

  • a lil boggy lean it out a lil

  • how did you build a servo control?

  • i had a f stroke airplane engine. it was my first try with the 4 stroke, they are really cool, never thoughti could idle down that low to br real quiet no tlike the 2 stroke. but at the time in the 80's the 4 stoke size had to be twice the size compared to the 2 stroke

  • A real v8 might be cheaper...... but still, I'm jelous.

  • cool

  • sounds like a little rc motor... just with that nice 8 cylinder note... love it thats awsome !!

  • Thanks man!. For the true enthusiast, the low idle exhaust note will put a grin on your face a mile wide.

  • Fuck Lionel, this is the new rich mans toy!

  • Wow a scale v8, how cool....bit on the ridiculously expensive side, but kickass nonotheless!!!

  • how much power does that bad boy produce?

  • I want the saaaaaaaaame !!! Very nice, good job !

  • this is awesome Looks so small. Nice!

  • dyno that bad boy

  • u rock dude

  • omg i can buy a built 460 for the stang for less than that price!!! dam lol

  • you're so lucky to be born so smart!

  • very good!

  • Awsome!

  • I just took 6 1500mah NiCd cells and soldered them up in parallel.

    Chris.

  • where did you get the 9000 mah 6 cell battery?

  • Looks so small. Nice!

  • Hey mate....that is the shit!! Would loke to see it in an rc off roader!

  • conley makes those too, or alot of people take these, and build their own. A turnkey RC car from conley will cost you about $13,000. As you can see, it's not a hoby for people such as me! lol, I looked into buying one untill i seen the price!

  • how much did this motor as a kit cost

  • their new egine kin cost about $5,500 bucks, you have to google conley precision, since fucking youtube wont let me post the web address.

  • awesome man awesome
