  • What's name of this rod ?

  • I have a fin Nor 9500 on a st croix mojo surf casting (not spinning) rod rated for 20-60 lb line and it's handles sharks well over the 250lb mark

Btw put the reel on my jigging rod and can lift 15kg bench plate with it (that's 33lbs)! I live and fish in sw florida

  • @Bartimusblue so you meen you put a spinning reel on a conventional rod

  • What was the rod? I have the 9500 for shark fishing but I don't know what rod to put it with, not too many spinning rods that can withstand a big shark

  • @StanleyTheOscar get breakaway hdx 13 ft surf rod

  • @tonyel120 My bad, I meant what rod for boat fishing (7ft or less, heavy duty), I have a 12ft. Penn Torque Surf Rod for shark fishing from the beach

  • the penn 950 is better than the finnor i mean

  • the penn 950 is better than the ssm

  • one guy in ocean city was saying he was catching spinner sharks i watched him and not one shark jumped i think they were either duskies or sharpnose

  • What kind of rod were u using.

  • is this reel like huge or would u say lie medium compare it to like the giant

  • nice i have my hollidays in the summer in norway and it was a fantastic summer i have catch macrel salmon and geep

  • i have a finor 8500 and they win hands down over the NEW STYLED penn 850/950s to me they just feel cheap and i was having problem with the bail cliping over during the cast while lobing big baits fin-nors i dont have this trouble and you can hear them take off from a mile when u get your first finor be sure to locktight your handle on i had mine come off a few times thats it9/10 i use mine on a 13 foot oz-flex rod and i can cast a mile obviously not as far as a overhead or alvey but hey BUY ONE

  • okay, been two days looking around for something real good but affordable, and have narrowed down to the Finnor 9500/8500. More positives than negatives feedbacks, i was going to buy on saturday but will buy it today instead after watching this vid

...........man them drag sure sounds good too.

  • Great video!

  • ok people I know for sure am going to get this reel !!

what about the surf rod ??!!

they are not using surf rods here !!

what rods should I use for big fish that will handle 80lb line on that reel ??!!

    cheers,

  • any1 please tell,

I'd like to go for heavy surf fishing for mulloway, sting rays and sharks.

what outfit should I buy ??!!!

people told me to go with the penn spinfisher !! others told me to go with the Fin-Nor 8500-9500 because of the drag which is 100$ extra than the penn.

also what rod should I use ??!!! there is no surf rods in the market that would handle 65lb line!!! am new to fishing and I can't afford to buy a boat so the maximum for me is to have some fun with sting rays.

  • love that drag on the fin-nor reels, smooth, and sounds great.

  • Awesome!

  • GREAT JOB GIVING HIM THE WHOLE LEADER AS A GIFT TO REMEMBER YOU BUY IDIOT

  • what kind of rod?
