  • is it good with overdrive?

  • @TolikRyumin

    Yes, sure.

The Fender Bullet guitar was supplied with Fender X1 single coil pickups, and they are good for clean or overdrive sounds.

    Good luck

  • I think it sounds fantastic. Very attractive guitar, if I saw one in arctic white for a good price, I'd buy it.

  • @slushpup9696

    Thank you for commentary.

The Bullet series are very interesant guitars and basses (but the very early ones, from 1981, with plywood bodyes).

The guitar at video got solid wood (alder) body.

    Cheers.

  • @slushpup9696

Why in the world in Arctic White?

If it is a good guitar, it plays also in red, black, blue, natural or green...;-)

  • @mostlycloudy14 I didn't know it came in green!

I just thought arctic white looked kinda cool, haha.

  • I have a Squier Bullet Fender USA Model and it sounds great.

  • @GoldenModz

    Congrats for your guitar.

The Fender Bullet was made in USA between 1981-1983 (different models) and then, about 1985, the production was shifted to Japan, with a very good workmanship.

    Cheers

  • @Santi66 Thanks for the info.

  • love that sound!!! it's a great piece of instrument :)

  • @Noizedrive

    Thank you so much.

    Cheers.

  • please,no offense, this guitar sounds horrible

  • @Frontierblues

It is not an offense. It is your opinion, respectable, of course.

    Cheers.

  • Nice demo, I have a neck from one of these but no body...anyone know where I could get a body....they are different than a Strat or Tele, maybe Fender could sell me one, or give the dimentions for a blank body, not sure about the pots and pickups, maybe Strat parts would work ? any help will be great!...thanks...poppa

  • @MrPoppa2

    Hi:

In Ebay USA you can get Bullet bodies. The Strato or Tele style will runs ok but, attention, the very early Bullets were made in plywood!! Some months after, Fender switched to regular wood, enterely made in USA (the last Tele type and all the Strats type).

In the other hand, you can use a regular Telecaster body. The neck fits ok on it since Fender used authentic Telecaster necks on Bullet guitars. And yes, the Strat pickups are ok on Bullets.

    Good luck with project!

  • I have one of these waiting for a refurb..I was gonna sell it to buy a Peavey T-60, but after seeing this, I remember how great these Bullets sound..That amazing twangy attack.. I may have to rethink selling this one..Nice playing, great sound.

  • @robbolandsvids

    Hi:

    Thanks for your words.

Yes, the Fender Bullet got a beutiful tone, twangy at the middle position, good clean sound.

And they are a piece of Fender history.

    Cheers

  • I have this very guitar in yellow, its a GREAT little axe with a REAL 81 USA telecaster neck taken right from the line. They used leftover mustang pickups, mine are really strong and sound better than my 83 telecaster toploader. I paid 499.00 U.S. in mint cond. with orig. plastic hardshell case. Worth every cent.

  • @Uz2Brockstar

Yes I agree. Loud and clear pickups, good neck and vintage vibe.

Good luck with this lovely and historic guitar.

  • wat would something like that be worth?

  • @7dayaddiction

    About 500-900 US$

    Good luck

  • @Santi66 not entirely....my brother just purchased the same model off a website for only $70

  • @joshacousticmusic

There are other Bullet model (Squier brand, entry level). If your brother has purchased exactly the same Fender USA model, congrats!!

  • Your guitar has a nice tone, very rich and clean. It sounds like you two have been friends for a long time. I have a Peavey T-60 that I am rather fond of after having it for more than 30 years. The guitars you love aren't always the top of the line models, are they. I think they are the ones that you feel the most comfortable with.

  • @kdkmo

Yes! Completly, I agree. The Peavey T-60 are a lovely guitar also. I had two Peavey T-40 and a T-45; interesting basses.

It´s very important to me to arrive to "a good relationship" with the instrument, perhaps an humble instrument. It´s the soul...

    Cheers

  • I have one of these I have had one for 20 years. Its a lovely player but the pickups are so passive they let it down.

Unless you want the vintage rock and roll sound or country its very limiting.getting rock tones are a struggle

  • @smalltins

    Hi:

Yes, this guitar is good for vintage pop, rock or country.

And it got a lot of vintage feeling.

Thank you for commentary and good luck.

  • For a few more dollars I went ahead and bought an affinity and got a much better deal. Affinities are much more solid than bullets.

  • @boxingin

Make no mistake please, I´m talk about USA Fender Bullet from early 80´s.

If someone talk about current Squiers, yes, I agree, the Affinities are better than current Bullets.

Fender has made a mess using the same name for very diffent series.

Fender also did that with Starcaster name; The Starcaster was a fine semi hollow body from mid seventies (made in Fullerton), but now is a entry level guitars brandname.

    Cheers and happy new year.

  • @Santi66

Thanks for the info my friend. Do you know where I can get a Starcaster? I love semi hollow bodies that's my favorite sound.

Happy new year to you too!

  • @boxingin

Well, the original USA Starcaster are very hard to find, sinde they was made for few years.

Right now are two Starcasters in USA Ebay, for about 4800$. Really fine guitars, with Seth Lover humbuckers.

    Good luck

  • Thanks for posing this ! I used to have one of these guitars, wish I would have hung on to it !

  • Thank you for your words. I have Fender Bullet USA guitars and basses (you can see my other videos) since very early 80´s.

I have other guitars and basses but I love the Fender Bullet series.

    Cheers

  • I heard Bullets are crappy. Is that true. You sound awsome playing that one.

  • Hi:

The USA Bullets are good guitars but attention!! the very early ones was made with plywood (only in 1981). After, the Bullet guitars was done with the same woods than other american Fenders.

The USA Bullets was made until 1983; in 1984 they become Squier SQ japanese. Still good guitars but the pickups. Today, the Squier Bullet are a sort of toy stratocaster for begginers, but they are other guitars.

  • I have one of these, never found one that looks exactly the same, are they rare? worth much?

  • Hi:

This is the first model, from early 81.

You can find guitars like this about 450$. But warning! The very early ones got plywood body (my guitar have solid wood body because the neck is from 81 and body from early 82).

    Cheers.

  • does the body have the same dimensions of a telecaster?

  • Does not. The neck got the same size, but the body is smaller.

    Cheers

    Saludos

  • Very nice. Is this a Bullet Deluxe or the Regular? How much would one run for nowadays, and where could I pick one up?

  • Hi: It´s the Bullet Standar (no Deluxe). The Deluxe model got a hardtail bridge with strings trogh the body, and this one got a bridge-pickguard "all one piece", in metal.

I like that because it brings a clearer tone.

This guitars are for about 500-600$ in Ebay.

Thank you for the interest and good luck.

  • The same as mine in 1995, when I played in hotel.

Not solid body, but sounds good. 1982??? Cheers, friend!

  • Hi:

Thank you for commentary. Well, the very early Fender Bullet was made with laminated wood for the body, but few months after all the Bullets was done in solid alder wood. This guitar got a 3 pieces of solid alder wood.

    Cheers!

  • full, Santi . . .

saludos, te sigo y aprendo mucho de vos desde Fendermania !

    exitos

  • Muchas gracias amigo!
