HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!! Im from Duluth, that is so cool that they played in my hometown!!!! but anyway....it looks like heavy drinking has caught up with stephen.....he still sounds great though. I like how he imitates the "up north" accent
Wow! This was cool! Thanks so much for posting this video! Great stuff. It gave us a chance to see real Stephen Stills! Very cool. The original footage should be archived.
If you watch'Sounding Out' you notice he still had his southern accent back then. He lived in Gainesville for awhile and he hung out with and taught guitar to Don Felder (former Eagles guitarist - who DID write Hotel Ca. BTW !!) - Stephen Stills has led an amazing life, a true American Icon
@pipernick I see, well then I'll have to give you the remedial version. Stephen Stills and Neil Young started out in a group called The Buffalo Springfield in 1967. Stephen is talking HERE about reuniting "the springalows" as he refers to the group. They will reunited next month, btw.
@NAGGERNUTZ I was there, too! Jessie Colin Young, The Beach Boys and CSNY. Great show, TERRIBLE acoustics! Sat up front on the floor of the stadium as well. One of only two concerts held there. The other was Marshall Tucker, Joe Walsh ( I believe w/ Barnstorm) and The Allman Bros. Went to that one too. Good Times.
I missed the first part of the concert. I was stationed at Ft Hood at the time and didn't get off work in time to make the first shows. I made it in time for CSNY. They were the last show and I was so loaded. We got in for free because we came so late and we were in the Army. I was right in front of stage left.
The best concert I ever saw was the Outlaws. Check this out... Billy Joel opened up for them and he was relatively new at the time. It was embarrassing, I'm sure, but people were screaming for Billy to get off the stage and bring on the Outlaws! I also saw Mountain, Steam (na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye) and Mylon at the same place, the WVU coliseum.
Thanks for the post. I saw Stephen in Sommervile, Ma. in 2005, he put on an amazing show. He was touring in support of "Man Alive", which he references during this interview, and like he said in the interview, it is great album. Keep rockin Stephen!
I love you Stephen. You hold a very dear place in my heart. I went to see CSN last night at Jones Beach, NY. You are still such a presence. My love to you forever!!!!
16 or 64 He is so handsome here and I wish he would mention his next place they will play Dont have to be vague. I love him just the way he is. Dignified and wise.. Graying and beautiful.. I know you read these Stephen you are a courious fellow wot eh? Wisconsin is just the same as where you are here.

I saw CSN&Y at Texas Stadium in 1974. I was so close to the stage I could almost reach out and touch them.

Would've been nice, but going on 7 years now and no word. Too bad Dewey died. They could get Messina though on bass and why not get Dallas on drums?
