omg! i had the EXACT same cramping problem doing the lunges on day 1. i have been doing this for a week now and am much better at it.
i had a question for all you slim in 6-ers. is there a recommended routine to lose wt within the 6 weeks? i got 3 dvds, but am not sure how long i am supposed to do each set of exercises. currently i have been doing dvd 1, Start it Up section for a little over a week.
I think the booklet that comes with the dvds gives a recommended duration for each disc. I think you're supposed to do "start it up" only for a few days to warm your body up, and then you're supposed to move to dvd 2. Then, I think you switch to 3 after a couple weeks. As long as you're feeling worked out, it shouldn't matter which disc you're sticking with. (between 2&3)
I got a little calendar-thing with mine, and it has the days highlighted in different colors for each video.
On there, it says to do Start it Up for 2 days (or until you get the hang of the moves), then Ramp it Up until the end of week 3, then Burn it Up for the last 3 weeks =]

It's exercise and even though sometimes I want to punch that smile off of Debbie, it's working. So far I lost like 8 inches all over my body but I did it everday and watched my food intake. I can't wait until 6 weeks is over!

I don't know if you can get it without purchasing it. I bought it from the beach body website. I didn't necessarily lose weight from this particular program, but I DID notice a decent amount of toning after only a few weeks. I lost the majority of weight from weight watchers. At my lowest, I had lost 45 lbs, but now I have lost about 35 lbs.

I've read a ton of comments and reviews on both programs, and one issue a read about alot is people who get bored doing the same routine for straight days(si6), so in order to alternate and to not get too bored, I'm combining these two series.
As i said, I started my mix routine just today, and I'am feeling the burnn hehe...So, if u dont mind, I'll keep u updated on my progress, because you just look so inspiring. Btw, my SW is 225 lbs, I'm 5'11, male. Reply would be greatly appreciated

I have a pice of advice for you and also everyone else who reads thsi comment: my idea is to combine the slim in 6 series, with the P90 Series. As in do start it up today, and sculpt 1-2 tomorrow, and so on keep alternating. However it is not recommenden for everyone, but since I'm a inactive soccerplayer, I'm able to hold it up...

I'v been doing this workout for about 2 weeks now and already I have lost quiet a bit of wieght(16 pounds YEAH) and I totally love it. It does look weird when doing it but hey it works right!!!

dude i know how you feel! i just recently got slim and six and though yes the moves are odd (lots of bending) it does get my heart pumping and my legs sore. i stretch a lot before i start the vid just because i'm not a consistent exerciser. good luck!!!

I just started the program Thursday and squats and crunches kick my butt! U have good form from what I see. I agree with U about walking down steps. When I get off of work I go home and take 3 muscle relaxers and two ibuprofen 800(and I still usually hurt) and then do the "Ramp It Up"
It's definitely painful. Fortunately though, as the days go by the pain is muuuch less and I can feel soreness, but it's not nearly as intense as the first couple days. Like Debbie says in the video: "If it's burning that means it's working" haha, I always find that very encouraging. :D
I know it's working but I'm starting to feel solid which I think it is just the fat building to muscle since I am eating the way the program advices. Anyway, I'm feeling better about my bodu even though I take several breaks and I don't always stay on the same pace as the video but Debbie says that's ok
Just fyi: fat and muscle are two completely different types of body tissue. Neither one can "turn into" the other. Although I know what you're trying to say, I wanted to post this anyway. I've seen/heard a lot of people who have the misconception that fat turns into muscle and/or that muscles turns into fat. I'm not trying to be a smart-alike, I'm just trying to dispel a common misconception.
The crazy thing is that slim in 6 works..you just have to stick to it...I find myself going on and falling off but starting Monday Im back on...I WILL complete it this time. Thanks for this vid. LMAO @ the cat lol
Yeah it definitely works if you stick to it, which I think is really encouraging. :) I guess almost any exercise can be successful if you are consistent, but for some reason I've been really motivated to stick to this. Did you get back into it on Monday?? :D

how often do you do the tapes? i do workout tapes that make me sweat way more than walking or jogging. you look great! yeah and I want to look great in shorts by the summer. So, I hear ya about the summer.

It's recommended to do them 6x a week, but I haven't been able to squeeze that into my schedule quite yet, but I think it's helping!! I got mine from their website - beachbody com. It was the whole little set of things like the videos, the resistance band, the diet plan, the measuring tape thingy, and I think a few other things. It was kinda pricey, so I don't know if maybe somewhere besides the main website sells it cheaper or anything.. (I should have checked first.. eek!) But yeah, it's a tough little workout and it feels like if I stick to it, it'll do the job! :D
I was wondering if you use the extra 35 pts. allowed on the weight watchers plan. I have been reserving them for the weekend and not losing; however just maintaining. Have you experienced this?

No... the last time I did them for a while, I ended up hurting my knee like 3 times in 2 weeks. I want to try it again, though, just going easy on the squats.
Ooh ouch. Yeaah, I've been trying to be careful with all that as well. Occasionally I can hear my knee popping kinda weird and I just try not to put as much pressure on it. As I showed in my video my leg was crumbling beneath me during the lunges, so I'm just hoping all this strengthening will help! :D

I use them :) I usually just save them for one day and have a "free day" where I don't even count my points. I'm still losing, even with that free day, and have actually noticed better losses with a free day. Kinda like it tricks my body into thinking I'm eating higher calories, and switching things up, but then when I go back down to regular in-points days, it reminds my body to lose weight or something! I'm sure theres science behind it, haha, thats just what Ive noticed. :D I ran out of room!
As I was saying- maybe you could try just using them all in one day. I guess that may not be as appealing to you, but maybe it could make a difference? Also, just to mention it, I don't use the exercise points. I know ww lets you have points for exercise, but I've decided not to use those. I'm not sure if I've helped, but hopefully some of my rambling made sense! :)

It's definitely painful. Fortunately though, as the days go by the pain is muuuch less and I can feel soreness, but it's not nearly as intense as the first couple days. Like Debbie says in the video: "If it's burning that means it's working" haha, I always find that very encouraging. :D

I know it's working but I'm starting to feel solid which I think it is just the fat building to muscle since I am eating the way the program advices. Anyway, I'm feeling better about my bodu even though I take several breaks and I don't always stay on the same pace as the video but Debbie says that's ok

Just fyi: fat and muscle are two completely different types of body tissue. Neither one can "turn into" the other. Although I know what you're trying to say, I wanted to post this anyway. I've seen/heard a lot of people who have the misconception that fat turns into muscle and/or that muscles turns into fat. I'm not trying to be a smart-alike, I'm just trying to dispel a common misconception.

The crazy thing is that slim in 6 works..you just have to stick to it...I find myself going on and falling off but starting Monday Im back on...I WILL complete it this time. Thanks for this vid. LMAO @ the cat lol

Yeah it definitely works if you stick to it, which I think is really encouraging. :) I guess almost any exercise can be successful if you are consistent, but for some reason I've been really motivated to stick to this. Did you get back into it on Monday?? :D

You're right. BUT I couldnt start in the middle of the week anyway. Im such a monday type of girl when it comes to starting new things!! You keep me posted too! I love slim in 6..its a lot harder than most people think.

It really is.. Sometimes when my boyfriend walks by when I'm doing it and sweating like crazy... I'm like "it really is hard to do!!" haha... I always feel like it looks easy, but.. it is not. :P

how often do you do the tapes? i do workout tapes that make me sweat way more than walking or jogging. you look great! yeah and I want to look great in shorts by the summer. So, I hear ya about the summer.

Shoot.. I replied to this comment and for some reason yt ate it. How annoying! Anyway, I've been doing the videos probably 4-5 times a week. It's recommended to do them 6x a week, but I haven't been able to squeeze that into my schedule quite yet, but I think it's helping!! I definitely sweat tons more from the videos rather than walking, so it must be working. :D Thank you for the comment! We will both be looking amazing in shorts this summer, for sure! :)

Well I haven't been doing slim in 6 for 6 weeks yet, so I'm not sure how that will affect me. I've been doing weight watchers, so that's how i've been losing weight. :)

Yayyy for being WW buddies. :D And working out only semi-sucks, but really when you look at the pros and cons.. there's only like 2 cons: you have to make time and it kind of hurts, but compared to the pros, that's nothing, riigght!? :D haha. The days keep getting warmer here, so it's almost literally a flame under my butt keeping me on track right now. We can do this! I have a 20 lb goal for before this summer as well. :D Time to get crazy. :) (in a safe way of course, haha)

I got mine from their website - beachbody com. It was the whole little set of things like the videos, the resistance band, the diet plan, the measuring tape thingy, and I think a few other things. It was kinda pricey, so I don't know if maybe somewhere besides the main website sells it cheaper or anything.. (I should have checked first.. eek!) But yeah, it's a tough little workout and it feels like if I stick to it, it'll do the job! :D

I was wondering if you use the extra 35 pts. allowed on the weight watchers plan. I have been reserving them for the weekend and not losing; however just maintaining. Have you experienced this?

No... the last time I did them for a while, I ended up hurting my knee like 3 times in 2 weeks. I want to try it again, though, just going easy on the squats.

Ooh ouch. Yeaah, I've been trying to be careful with all that as well. Occasionally I can hear my knee popping kinda weird and I just try not to put as much pressure on it. As I showed in my video my leg was crumbling beneath me during the lunges, so I'm just hoping all this strengthening will help! :D

I use them :) I usually just save them for one day and have a "free day" where I don't even count my points. I'm still losing, even with that free day, and have actually noticed better losses with a free day. Kinda like it tricks my body into thinking I'm eating higher calories, and switching things up, but then when I go back down to regular in-points days, it reminds my body to lose weight or something! I'm sure theres science behind it, haha, thats just what Ive noticed. :D I ran out of room!

As I was saying- maybe you could try just using them all in one day. I guess that may not be as appealing to you, but maybe it could make a difference? Also, just to mention it, I don't use the exercise points. I know ww lets you have points for exercise, but I've decided not to use those. I'm not sure if I've helped, but hopefully some of my rambling made sense! :)
