You did a great job with the editing. There were a couple that I knew of the original, some of them were like DUH!, but some of them were a surprise! Thanks!
I was so sure that 'tainted love' by Soft Cell would be in there. Still, it was excellent video and I loved the way you merged the two versions together.
I prefer the original Pretty Woman and never heard any Supremes' remakes before. I didn't know Venus was a cover, but I prefer it. As far as CA girls, goes, it like both quite equally.
The issue here is that most of us born in the 60s or early 70s were raised on the originals...thats why we can talk shit to the youngsters today. None of us from the 80s would ever argue with our parents about the beach boys, diana ross or any of that talent. But the kids today have no clue. They dont know who the hell Hall or Oates is...they are clueless....thanks for the post and youtube did it again!!!
Im 13 and Hall and Oates is one of my favorite things in the world. She's Gone, Method of Modern Love, One on One, Every time You Go Away all changed my life. But I agree almost everyone in my generation is a bunch of A-Holes. I like Hall and Oates more than my mom!! I even had the pleasure of meeting John Oates!
And what's so funny is that has continued on the future generations and like us, if they're naive to the origin of any of these pieces of music, they're thinking that they're hearing this for the first time too. And a good part of the time we'll indicate that the remakes sound much better than the originals.
Very good job, congratulations!!! Allow me to give three recomendations about remakes, what about spirit in the sky? Another remake, always something there to remind me and finally, dream a little dream, anyway your compilations are very nice!!!!!
Well thank you! It's about time someone did this, since I heard most of the originals first (no I'm not a dinosaur-from my Mom's music!) but I was surprised you didn't have "I Think We're Alone Now" or "Just a Gigolo" but either way this was very entertaining!!
Man I heard Gloria and that just took me back to when I was a little kid and I was at a store buying my first He Man lol. Guess that song was playing over the speakers or something. Weird.
Great video. In my opinion, the 80's artists covers of the old songs are better than the original. Burt when today's artists are making covers of 80's songs it's really bad, and the original is better.
now we have re-makes of the re-makes that have samples and ect ect ,just shows how talentless they are today .

Good editing job, you didn't just use windows movie maker and hope for the best like a lot of people.

I think out of all of the covers, only the UB40 version surpasses the original, imo, I mean, it's even got "The Clapping Song" in there!

Wow, there were a lot of remakes back then. Many of them are better than the original versions (that last one, "Red Red Wine", for ex.).
I can't really say the same for most 90s or current day covers. Most of the ones I've heard (esp. any by Jessica Simpson *cough*) are pure shite.

I think Bruce Springsteen did it first, and then Natalie Cole.
And if you do another compilation, that song, along with I Think We're Alone Now and I Saw Him (Her) Standing There, should be included.
