i don't get it. how come all previous mgs games before this mgs3, do not mentioned qcq? if this is a prequel and the snake we see here is big boss, then solid snake should have known qcq in mgs1 already because in mgs4, he knows cqc, and mgs 4 is a sequel. how come solid snake knows qcq in mgs4, and not in mgs1 and 2?

Snake SAYS it's because he didn't feel right using CQC taught to him by Big Boss, but it's probably just that the designers hadn't come up with it or hadn't figured out a way to program it in or something. *shrug*

Solid Snake hated Big boss with a passion because of prior happenings before MGS1 and CQC was developed by Big Boss and the Boss. So Solid Snake didnt want to follow the footsteps of Big Boss so he just went on and used the standard combat he was taught. Thats why Raiden also uses the punch punch kick in MGS 2. It's not until after MGS2 in which Solid Snake found about more about Big Boss did he actually start to take an interest in CQC
