  • Looks like he broke a string - it can happen to the best of us.

  • Haley's first million seller...Before Rock Around the clock.

  • i was at this show in 1972..Other artists JLL,Chuck Berry,Little Richard..in my opinion it was bill haley who stole the show...The guy had great charisma and a great band.

  • i need the complete london rock and roll show please?????

  • Bill was a complete pro. For some reason his guitar strap came un done. Bill kept singing while he put the strap back into position. Bill never missed a beat or a note.

  • i was there Bill stole the show

  • @ginger1959able I was there too. Bill was excellent. Also,Billy Fury and Chuck Berry did hot sets. Little Richard got the "bird" but, Bo Diddley and Jerry Lee did well.

  • @ginger1959able

    What about the others?

  • @Weidenberg Chuck Berry was good as was Jerry Lee and Bo Diddley but to quote the uks top selling music Melody Maker Chuck rips up Little Richard but the real star was Bill Haley i have the paper in front of me.

I envy you. Unluckily I never had the chance to see Bill perform on stage. His german tour in 1980 had to be cancelled. Some weeks later the announcer on the radio said that Bill Haley had passed away. At that time I was 17. In my class they used to dance to Kim Wilde and many british pop groups. But I loved listening to Matchbox, Shakin`Stevens and of course "good old bill". Even in Germany Bill Haley was almost forgotten. I remember Elvis`death in 1977!

  • @Weidenberg / i remember the news of the world newpaper , oct 1980 rock king haley iill story , i was so sad to hear of bill haley been very ill then , his music lives on always

  • no1 hit for bill haley,,,,fab,,,,,,thanks for posting,,,,,,,

  • It was never a No 1 hit for Bill Haley. "Shake Rattle and Roll" reached # 7 in the Billboard-Charts in 1954. But you`re right. It`s a terrific song.
