You know why other games focus mainly on the flashy combos you can do? Its because its GAMEPLAY. Something ALL games should strive to have.

And to those that think the things in this trailer couldn't be possible in actual gameplay, remember that Web of Shadows had Spidey chucking cars, rapid-firing web balls (like Asura does) fighting mechs and other big foes, releasing web/symbiote explosions like what you'd compare to anime attacks, and nothing short of surfing, sliding, yoyo-ing, paddle-balling any and all enemies, be they on the ground or in midair.
Whatever Asura did in cutscenes, he could have easily done in real time.

@MrMousinator I wouldn't go THAT far. The final product looks fun as hell, but some of the gameplay content here would've really enhanced the experience. Destructible terrain, usable environment, and QTEs that are started via such terrain. They can make it more varied AND interactive next time. I just pray it does well enough to get a sequel.

QTEs are bad only when they get in the way of gameplay. Both GoW and MGS have loads of gameplay to back them up, while this game does not.
I don't know HOW much was cut from this trailer, but comparing it to the final, those were omissions that should not have happened. Not only does little actual combat remain, but even THAT gets repetitive because there is little to no variety.
@MrMousinator I respect your opinion, but I disagree. The simple gameplay is addictive and while it CAN be a lot better, it's not bad. And the QTEs, most of the time, are initiated with Burst. The rest are counters like Batman Arkham City's or special attacks similar to God of War's O kill (except it doesn't gurantee a kill and hits surrounding enemies). I do agree that those omissions shouldn't have happened or should've been changed somewhat, but I don't think the final game is far from it.

Is it possible tochange the game dialogue from english to Japanese or Chinese (whatever language it's originally in) with subtitles? I think I prefer that because it would match their lips better.
the actual game looks nothing like this, but the story is more prominent in the full release, and i actually think it works, seeing as most action games today have an absurd, slapped together back story behind them, and focus mainly on the flashy combos you can do. asura's wrath is a simple experience, but for those looking for a great story full of betrayal, rage, and all around epicness, this game is for you. for those looking for the flashy ways to kill enemies, go back to god of war
@gwarriorfromhell I agree that the story was very enjoyable,but that's just it. People are better off watching a playthrough of the game rather than them having to buy it or rent it, due to it being rather short and not having a lot of content/incentive to play it over again. The gameplay should not have been so repetitive and it's just sad because the soundtrack, artstyle, and story are all awesome.
@Invincinity yeah it is a shame they did go that route, but still i do not regret paying 60 bucks for this, mainly becasue there is gonna be DLC coming soon (good ole Capcom, lol) which adds even more to the story, and they even decided to make one with a SFIV type fight with Asura vs Ryu. so, knowing that these will be coming fairly soon, i await them openly. who knows, if asura's wrath does good enough, they will come up with a way to make a sequel, or even a game where you can do online co-op

I played the demo of Asura's Wrath today and it was AWESOME. It gives you 2 'episodes' to play. 5 & 11. In Episode 5 your fighting a man as big as the earth. In Episode 11 you fighting a man on the moon. It's the most fun I've had in a video game in a while. Can't wait for tomorrow! ;)

the actual game looks nothing like this, but the story is more prominent in the full release, and i actually think it works, seeing as most action games today have an absurd, slapped together back story behind them, and focus mainly on the flashy combos you can do. asura's wrath is a simple experience, but for those looking for a great story full of betrayal, rage, and all around epicness, this game is for you. for those looking for the flashy ways to kill enemies, go back to god of war

@gwarriorfromhell I agree that the story was very enjoyable,but that's just it. People are better off watching a playthrough of the game rather than them having to buy it or rent it, due to it being rather short and not having a lot of content/incentive to play it over again. The gameplay should not have been so repetitive and it's just sad because the soundtrack, artstyle, and story are all awesome.

@Invincinity yeah it is a shame they did go that route, but still i do not regret paying 60 bucks for this, mainly becasue there is gonna be DLC coming soon (good ole Capcom, lol) which adds even more to the story, and they even decided to make one with a SFIV type fight with Asura vs Ryu. so, knowing that these will be coming fairly soon, i await them openly. who knows, if asura's wrath does good enough, they will come up with a way to make a sequel, or even a game where you can do online co-op

@gwarriorfromhell i agree man i want THIS game! this was the asura's wrath that got me hyped up. not to say i dont like the final product but man....it looked like complete chaos and destruction in this trailer...using only his fist in the game limited the combat so much! hope fully we get a sequel and cc puts more GAMEPLAY in the game..again the final product is good..but just NOT what i wanted after seeing this and 2 years of waiting.

I played the demo of Asura's Wrath today and it was AWESOME. It gives you 2 'episodes' to play. 5 & 11. In Episode 5 your fighting a man as big as the earth. In Episode 11 you fighting a man on the moon. It's the most fun I've had in a video game in a while. Can't wait for tomorrow! ;)

@92mrbangbang well,the game doesnt seem to be based on japanese mythology,and the references to hindu mythology are a lot,like for instance,asura gets his name from "asuras" who were a race that symbolised evil,secondly his wife durga,is an actual goddess in hindu mythology who symbolises fear,and is invincible and she gets killed?.
and also the brahmastra in hindu mythology was the deadliest weapon ever,even that was copied.
