You know why ,because middle class still has some values ,we still don't appreciate
females wearing blouses showing their cleavage ,we are the one who still don't expect our wifes to dance to the tune of "Munni badnaam hui",,Bollywood is primarily selling sex and more or less prostitution. Our heroes were
respected not portrayed as sex symbols with six abs.six abs heros are generally the one who lack acting skills, they need abs as what is expected from them is they don't have.
Well said Most of the time we only like tune and singing but we hardly notice lyrics makes the song narrate situation better. So Yougeshji takes the cake for this song and for all otehr songs in this movie. Definitely Salilji and Mukeshji/lataji complimented it well by giving their best in all songs.
There is no betrayal, unfortunately the middle class community shown in this movie does not exist in bombay anymore, it has been replaced by a whole different group of people, people who share the same finacial challenges like the ones shown here but not the same values not the same way of thinking. Things are more graphic now...
I remeber this one .People were nice and innocent not at all materialestic.Today everything is gone and more over no good movies no good songs only rat race.
the entire middle and lower middle class is wiped out from the Bollywood, every film starts from the streets/Discos of NY London. There is no value of our emotions. its not sellable product, I guess.
@kanikpalodhi they sell exactly what the middle class wants to buy - when the entire indian middle class is dreaming of more, more material wealth, it's only natural that bollywood will show them the places where material wealth dominates every aspect of life - london and new york
@Nusrat5791 If we all are missing good old days, then why is that not portrayed in cinema? I am looking within my friend, and missing the bonds, the relationships these cinemas used to express. These cinemas used to say that even if you don't have everything in the world, that's not the end of the world. There is love.
@kanikpalodhi Bollywood and Hollywood of the yesteryear were beautiful. Hollywood's since been hijacked by a new brand of filmmakers from a certain community and have since destroyed all values and morals. Likewise with Bollywood only difference being they have yet to stoop to the levels of Hollywood. That said television programs still use middle cast storylines and protagonists right?
@kanikpalodhi I completely agree with you... we, the middle class, are not represented anywhere anymore in bollywood... All heroes have to be scions of politicians or businessmen and easily frequent New York / London / Paris... Hahahaha... the makers have forgotten us... obliterated! probably salable dreams cannot be woven with us as subjects anymore to earn mega bucks!!! A bad investment!!! Hahahaha... Feel like laughing ...
Well some still do - "A Wednesday" a good example to mention!
Probably the only Hindi song that has the word "Seemarekha" in it. I always like these old Hindi songs which shows parts of Bombay when it was sparsely populated. Great song.
@bipinkrish nice thought. we need more people who share the same thought. the infidelity is very bad. it ruins more than two lives and viciates social environment
Isnt this song from another movie?

It's not enough that this video is good but the people who have commented here too are pretty much sensible.

@laxmeshdh: the indian spirit is there and always will be. One has to cherish it, resonate with it.
