Blackwater has to deal with mine warfare on the streets of Baghdad every day. Some of the necessary drivig skills are counter instinctive. Your vehicle is a weapon. There are no Bermuda traffic cops anywhere in that part of the world. If you find yourself in a life threating situation, you have to strike back with extreme violence of action and bug out like an air combat dog fight. You won't find drivers exchanging licenses and insurance information. You break contact and run for high heaven.

You may want to check out other companies such as "SOC-SMG" or "Triple Canopy", most places do not hire civilians since they require prior law enforcement or military training...good luck anyhow, I hope you find what you're looking for.

It's not easy finding a company that will hire someone without experience. Most accept time in an infantry unit, but prefer candidates from elite units. They prefer not to hire someone they have to train from scratch, as most lack the facilities to do so. All I can say is good luck, keep looking, maybe you'll find one.

There are a few companies that provide this level of driver training, however, I have heard Blackwater's is the most comprehensive.

The one I took is far, far better than the police department's training.

In General Police are VERY poor drivers..I drive for a living, and very often see officers with little to no skill level as to driving, shooting rifles/pistols(also worked at a shooting range)

Basically they are not qualified for the Job they have..I would Much rather have a Fireman In a duel role of respect and Dougnut eaters could get back to beating their wives

Ever consider police take a month to pass the response driving course, and that's only if they qualify. Driving a truck or taxi is a little different to driving over the speed limit through traffic and then expect to get out at the end and deal with something.

I'll tell you now, it's not easy the first time you do it as you are full of adrenalin and start to shake as you crash from it.

Just finished the six day Advanced Tactical Vehicle Operartor course that these guys offer. Very intense training, I learned a lot in that time frame. I highly recommend anything that they offer at the driving course for Blackwater USA.
