  • I can do a crown braid i just didn't like how thin my last 3 inches of hair looked but, i think i could do this and it could look good:)

  • I absolutely love this look! I can dutch braid (when I split my hair down the center and do two separate ones), but doing a single one with all my hair... ya, that's another story. Could you please show the whole process of making it sideways? I can do good adding from the one side, just not the other. I think I could do it if I could see you do it from that other side. Luv ur vids :)

  • Very cool! Thanks Torrin!

  • I love your hair

  • Very pretty :) Where do you get all of your beautiful hair sticks from?

  • Like an 80's music video... haha XD

  • I love this style. I wish my hair was as thick as yours. My hair is thin. Do you have any idea hour to get hair thick again. My hair was thick when I was young but as I got older it started thinking on top. I'm not bald bit I would love it to be thick again.

  • I hate claw clips. Unless they are made out of a sturdy metal. Which usually means they're all blinged out, so that isn't that much of a problem, but it's still a problem finding them in the first place.

I swear I sometimes use enough pins to attract wayward magnets. Usually when I'm doing a milkmaid-type bun thing at the back of my head rather than on top...

    Taping sounds good.

  • @Stormandfire Yeah, my hair eats claw clips...apparently it finds them tasty. I have found only two metal claw clips and both of those have the wussiest hinges going. It doesn't make sense...you've made a claw clip out of metal, why are you using the flimsiest hinge mechanism going? Grrr.

  • I have watched just about all of your videos and your vlogs, and you are really an inspiration in many ways and a beautiful woman all around. Also, I need to mention that you are particularly stunning in this video, though I can't pinpoint what is different. Anyway, thank you for your tutorials!

  • I love your hairstyles. I've used variations on your Elizabethan hairtaping - I love it for days I really need my hair out of my way. :)

  • Easy?!!? Maybe the braiding part but sewing your hair like that?!! It's AMAZING that you can work on your hair like that.

  • adamantium!! GREATNESS

  • I love these new twists on classics...and 'twofer' videos! Time to practice my Dutch (which I finally learned, thanks to you)! I can't wait to wear these out and about.

  • Everytime I see your braid my jaw just drops. It's so gorgeous! My hair isn't long enough to braid nicely, but I hope when it is that my braid looks even half as good as yours!

  • It seems to me that for shorter hair you could make 2 braids about halfway up your head (just behind the tops of the ears) and wrap one up and over and one down and under. In other words, have both wrap either clockwise or counterclockwise so that each braid makes half a circle.

  • I love your dress.

  • I saw another tutorial where they suggested for taping short hair to make four braids, two at the top and two at the bottom.

Great fake crown, btw, I'm having so much trouble with that one.

  • Oh my God, that was a totally incredible X-Men reference! (If not a bit unexpected) If it's possible for me to love you more, it just happened.

  • I love the style! I've never done a dutch braid, but it looks easy enough and it came out so beautifully!

The only problem is the you have perfect hair, and my hair is a mess of curls. I can't get a smooth top when I put my hair up! It'll be smooth for a while and then explodes with tiny curls after an hour. C'est la vie.

  • I love that you described the side bun as "jaunty" :D

  • What a lovely hairstyle :0) I shall practice my Dutch braiding and give it a go.

Speaking of Dutch braiding, your annotation doesn't seem to link to anywhere, it's just a text annotation...

  • @ArrowOdenn Fixed! Thanks.

  • Missed your voice! Good to see you!

  • I love the crown style. I think it may look better than the "real" crown braid...which I have never successfully executed. I break those clips all the time...Love your videos.

  • And this is why I need to learn to Dutch braid...!

  • WOW!!! I love this look, and I might actually be able to do this!! *cheers* Very, VERY cool! You've really given me so much inspiration for doing my hair. It's made having long hair FUN again!

And now, off I go to try and edit another nail how-to. Fun, but man, my animated ones take SO much editing! But I'm learning!! :D

    Have fun with your friend!!

  • It's so lovely!

  • you are so hot

  • love at first sight! you are so talented!

  • You are so sweet and nice and gentle. I don't speak or understand english very well but I love your videos. :-) <3 <3 <3

  • I love your hair :)

  • WHERE do you find all your fun hair bling????

  • Pretty ~~~~*-*

  • Love!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • I love your outfit today! Where'd you get your earrings? I love those! :D

  • adamantium :) <3

  • Hi Torrin, both hairstyles are so beautiful!!! I love your blouse too, very pretty. ;)

  • Your hair is so beautiful! Its such a pleasure to watch you do it up! I love the butterfly accessories!!!

I'm wearing the side dutch braid bun right now! And I LOVE the crown braid trick! SO MUCH EASIER!! :) XO Love you Torrin!

  • I just recently found you because my hair is getting longer (just a little past BSL - and I only know what that means because of your hair terms video!), and you are so helpful!! I love your videos...thanks for always sharing with us!

  • This is great! Thanks especially for the tips for shorter hair. I was definitely one of those lamenting the lack of being able to do the hair taping. Oh, and the crown braid. I'm terrified of that one. Yipes. Anyway! Love all of your videos, and you are the one with the credit for teaching me how to French braid my hair. Thanks again! Oh! One more thing what are milk-maid braids?

  • @MsRedheadedRebel

milk-maid braids are the braids that wrap all the way around your head like a headband. You see them sometimes in Little House on the Prairie and shows like that.

  • So pretty!!! I'm seriously regretting chopping most of my hair off now but the unbearable heat makes me feel a bit better about it, lol. I'm praying that my hair will be long enough to do the Elizabethan hair tapping by my birthday next year, seriously doubt but I can hope! lol Love you!!!

  • Fantastic!!!

  • for REALLY short hair, like shoulder-armpit length: braid your hair upwards starting at the ear! it's kind of a "half heidi braid" because it doesn't start at the bottom. but still looks cute above the head.

  • You sound like me. "What? You think I hired someone this morning?" Hey, you should make a film of your friends' visit, or your friends cooking with you or with the doggies or something fun.

  • I love this! You're so much fun to watch too! =)

  • I should totally make a video about hair taping with "shorter" hair. I do two rope braids and sew them in. So awesome! I have gotten stopped by many a mother and child asking me how I did my princess/fairytale hair
