Well it's true. Young people today don't know about old stars unless it was something we grew up listening to. Terrence and Rosci are young, plus they have to give something that appeals to the young crowd, it's their job. Oh this is awesome. The interview ON 106TH & Park was really forced and kinda white-washed too. Your interview with Madonna would have been way more fascinating! It's obvious she has a very limited understanding of hip-hop culture so that question about 'what hip-hop act would you sign?' was sort of embarassing for her.
great questions but just want to point out that this isn't the first time Madonna works with hip hop artists/producers. PLease listen to Erotica and Bedtime Stories. She's worked with Tupac (yes, Tupac!) Babyface, Dallas Austin, Nelle Hooper, Dave Hall -- all RnB producers.
hip hop and r&b are two different genres of music. I'm not too big on Madonna albums but I'm pretty sure that those albums weren't heavily hip hop enthused as this one is.

Terrence and Rosci are young, plus they have to give something that appeals to the young crowd, it's their job. Shoot Emineim, Justin Timb, Linkin Park, Robin Thicke, Jon B, Christina A are white and we know about them. It's not a race thing at all, we just have to be familiar with them. That's all I'm saying. Madona's inview was boring she lacked spark, all the blame cant rest on host.

Well, consider the fact that in the early days Madonna was always pegged as a black artist before her first videos released. She's always insisted on working with black musicians, black dancers, etc. She inspires people as a whole and I love Whitney, Michael, and Prince but she keeps on doing more than they do for entertainment. It's truly amazing, I am wondering if she will still be jamming at 60.

Well I didn't grow up listening to Madonna. My parents played Michael, Prince, Whitney, Sade, Luther Vandross, Patti Labelle, Rick James, Janet, Run DMC, Grand Master Flash, Mariah Carey, Marvin, Diana, Stevie Wonder, and so on. I didn't know who the hell Madonna was until a reached age 14. Madonna who? Who the hell cares. The black community were interested in seeing how she would be on 106 &Park (we want to see the hype), and when she was boring I flipped the damn channel. Theres no hype. OvR

That's funny because I remember when Madonna first broke, with Holiday and Borderline, and it was being played on black radio stations all over, and everyone thought she was black until the video came out! Madonna has done just about everything, so it doesn't surprise me that she is doing a hip hop influenced album which sounds good from what I've heard so far. She was only boring because the interviewers were boring and stupid. Free and AJ would have made it a great moment, hype or no hype.

How I'm I suppose to know that, I'm actually a 90s baby. I listened to 90s and 80s r&b music, that's all I knew. When 2000s rolled around thats when I knew Madonna with her "Music" song. And everybody is all like I wish AJ and Free was here, but back then they were hating on them too. I'b admit, they were better than Rosci and Terrence.

I don't think Rocsi should even be there. She might be o.k. on radio, but she's horrible on t.v.? I wish the interview would focus more on her new cd, than these random trick questions.

i felt the same way about the interview... they got lazy and needed to do their homework on her before she came on the show... i felt like they didn't know shit about her... and YOU R SO RIGHT... they asked her some dumb ass question... i think you hit it right on the button with the questions you would have ask her... but then again they always ask dumb ass questions it's like the forget what the fuck the artist is there for...

Oh this is awesome. The interview ON 106TH & Park was really forced and kinda white-washed too. Your interview with Madonna would have been way more fascinating! It's obvious she has a very limited understanding of hip-hop culture so that question about 'what hip-hop act would you sign?' was sort of embarassing for her.

great questions but just want to point out that this isn't the first time Madonna works with hip hop artists/producers. PLease listen to Erotica and Bedtime Stories. She's worked with Tupac (yes, Tupac!) Babyface, Dallas Austin, Nelle Hooper, Dave Hall -- all RnB producers.

hip hop and r&b are two different genres of music. I'm not too big on Madonna albums but I'm pretty sure that those albums weren't heavily hip hop enthused as this one is.
