I went through the entire game,on expert,with just a Shotgun and a whole lot of heath.Sheva was of course no help what so ever,but I made it out alive.Hmmmm maybe I should repeat it with just a Rifle and see how that works....

Vash is right about it usually being more powerful. With bolt-action the bullet is fully secured and when fired the shell casing doesn't move, therefore the projectile gets the full force of the expanding gases from the shell.

Semi-Autos are the same but the bullet doesn't stay in place. It uses some of the force from the fired bullet to eject the shell, load another bullet, and ready the gun to be fired again. Less powerful but more convenient.

Vash, If you haven't at this Point you should, That is, If you still Play RE5.

You should upgrade your Sniper to the max, Not just because you get The Bow and Arrow for Sheva, But That Sniper is a Champion One-Shot Kill from any part of the body, I used it more than The bow when I upgraded it actually.
